Chapter 11
NEXT DAY
A light groan escaped Olivia’s mouth as she slowly opened her eyes. The surroundings were quite different and everywhere had the strong smell of a hospital,
Fluttering her brows multiple times, Olivia heard a voice a few inches away from her.
“You’re completely awake now? This is the third time you’re waking but you just keep going unconscious again
Third time? What the hell was he talking about? Something suddenly dawned on Olivia and she let out a gasp
“My baby, my ba..”
“The baby’s safe. Take it easy, okay, you’re going to end up hurting yourself if you don’t calm down.” His voice was calm as he spoke to her, and then Olivia raised her gase to stare at him. There was no way she would not recognize him even though her visions were blurred when she saw him last night,
And then Olivia realized something again.
“You’re a doctor?” She questioned even though she could see that he was on a white gown, a telescope around his neck, and also had gloves on,
Fate was indeed really twisted. Olivia let out a chuckle when she thought about it again. She would recall this face anywhere because it was the same person who suffered the same plight as her at the airport.
“Don’t I look like one?” His question broke the chain of her thoughts, and she nodded her head,
“You do.” She responded almost immediately. “I’m just surprised that you…” Olivia’s words were cut short when the door burst open and two people walked right into the room. The first person was Stella and the second was Dave,
“Olivia, hey are you alright? Oh my God, I was so worried about you, I thought something bad was going to happen to you. I’m so sorry. I’m really so sorry for what you had to go through.”
Stella was being dramatic right now, but it was all because she loved her. Olivia thought and let out a smile, “Im fine, Stella,
is fine.”
“Bryan, I need to talk to you outside in private,” Dave uttered and Olivia immediately arched her brows as she stared at the doctor standing close to Dave. With a thumping heart, she averted her gaze to Stella who gave her a quick nod to indicate that was the Bryan Millers she was supposed to meet,
“Alright.” Bryan responded and once they were both out, Olivia released the breath she was holding
“Are you seriously kidding me? What the hell was that, Stella?”
“I have no idea, but thankfully he was there to save you on time just before anything happened to you. It something bad had happened to you, I swear I would never have forgiven myself” Stella responded, making Olivia take another deep
breath in,
“What about the party?” Olivia questioned, but Stella scoffed at her.
“Are you seriously talking about the party right now? Everything ended the very moment Bryan rushed out of the building with you in his arms.” Stella responded and leaned in closer to Olivia, making Olivia wonder if something was on her face or what.
“His eyes were so full of worry Olivia Believe me. I had never seen Bryan panic over anyone before Stella stated but this only made Olivia burst out into a flame of laughter for a few seconds and wince in pain afterward

“Take it easy, the pain isn’t completely gone.” Stella cautioned, and just when Olivia was about to respond, the door opened revealing Bryan first, and Olivia felt her heart thumping so fast,

“My love, come on, we need to give the police more information and get the culprit arrested today,” Dave uttered to Stella as he stepped in, but he also didn’t fail to wink at her. This was enough to make Stella understand that Bryan wanted to be alone with Olivia,
“Okay, babe,” Stella responded as soon as she got the message and cocked her head back at Olivia, “Don’t be nervous Olivia: he’s not going to bite you, okay. You have a pretty good char,m, so use it,” she whispered and began to walk towards Dave. As soon as they were both out, Olivia swallowed a lump of saliva down her throat suddenly wishing that she hadn’t woken up earlier,
She woke up to discover the same person that had saved her last night and the same person she had seen at the airport a few days ago was Bryan Miller. How crazy was that?
The ward remained silent with Bryan simply staring at Olivia like he was trying to read her. Why did she seem a little bit familiar, but he couldn’t just place his fingers where exactly he had seen someone like her,
“Are you going to keep it a secret from Stella?” He broke the heart–wrenching silence soon afterwards and Olivia turned her gaze to him,
“What?” She responded so quickly,
“The baby. They have no idea, do they?” Bryan questioned, and the expression on Olivia’s face suddenly changed. The baby? The baby was all she had from her broken marriage and she didn’t really know how Stella would take the news of the baby so she kept it a secret,
“I will. I just want to wait for the right time.” Olivia responded, but decided to change the topic, “I’m sorry I ruined your party.”
“I should be the one feeling bad for putting your life in danger. The culprit must have mistaken you for someone else because of the room you were in.” Bryan responded but his response only earned him a confused look from her,
“Apparently, the world has no idea who my fiance is and you must have been mistaken for her. I’m sorry.”
Olivia nodded her head afterward without anything in mind to say. How the hell was she supposed to start a conversation about what she wanted his help with?
“But I should compensate you. It’s only right I do.” Bryan once again broke the silence between them as he began to take steps towards her. Once he was close enough, he smiled at her and continued,
“Tell me what you want, anything, and you’ll get it.”
