This could not be happening! Ethan thought as his gaze didn’t leave Olivia, not even for a second,
He was staring at the same woman he had earnestly searched for more than 5 years without any hope of finding her,
“Olivia?” Ethan called out, making Bryan arch his brows in shock,
“No,” Olivia responded almost immediately and released his hold on her hand, then she smiled at him,

“My fiance told me a lot about you at Fordham. We would gladly assist your company and try to help with the condition of your father. Thank you for your cooperation and for trusting in us.”
Her voice was so different in ways that Ethan couldn’t comprehend. This wasn’t the Olivia he knew in the past,
Her look, figure, and everything changed except one thing. She still always wore things that she knew he loved so much,
“You’re welcome, Ms Olivia,” Ethan said,
“And if I may ask, is he your son?” Ethan questioned as his gaze shifted to Noah who was still seated on his chair. When their eyes locked, Ethan let out a smile and the young boy smiled back at him,
“Good to meet you, buddy.” He muttered,
“You’re very handsome Mr, are you perhaps my Daddy because we look alike,” Noah responded to the shock of everyone and Olivia widened her eyes in shock,
“Oh my goodness, I’m so sorry about that. Noah can be a funny kid at times and make crazy assumptions too. Accept my apology.” Olivia immediately cut in before Ethan could utter a word,
“No, it’s really okay. He’s just a little boy and I see a lot of sense in what he said. We do somehow look alike, especially the color of his eyes.” Ethan responded,
Olivia could tell what he was trying to do, but even as her heart kept thumping so hard against her ribcage, she had to stand firm,
“That must indeed be a coincidence. Mr Fordham, if you don’t mind, could we begin the party? I’m pretty sure the guests are all waiting for you and your lovely wife; she has her gaze here since you came.” Olivia uttered,
Ethan immediately cleared his throat aloud and smiled,
“I’ll do that immediately.” He responded and began to walk away. Now that Olivia was here, a lot of things were going to change,
He walked up to the podium and then collected the mic,
“Good day, ladies and gentlemen; thank you all for honoring my invitation, as this is not only a great day for the Fordham Group, but also a great day for most of you. As you can see, multiple reasons would also be shown why Fordham Group is best to invest with.” Ethan started, but paused as he averted his gaze once again to Olivia,
“Once again, let’s all welcome, Ms Olivia for…” he paused again, staring at everyone, and cleared his throat aloud,
“Ms. Olivia Rowan, the doctor in charge of GRO hospital.”
As soon as Olivia rose to her feet, the crowd rose to theirs as well and began clapping. Olivia took a deep breath out and began to walk, swaying her hips majestically and carrying herself with enough pride,

deck glance. As soon as he handed the microphone over to her, Ethan began to walk back to his seat, and he sat down,
“What’s this all about?” Shirley murmured, only loud enough for his hearing,

“Did you plan this?” She questioned when there was no response from him, and it only infuriated her more that Ethan’s gaze was solely on her. What was so perfect about Olivia anyway?
Was it her long dark hair? Her oval–shaped face, her long lashes, and small round lips, or was it the dress she was putting on? Shirley questioned herself, jealousy slowly building itself up again,
After so many years, the fucking witch decided to step back into their life and, this time, as an entirely different person. Now, Shirley could see the difference between them,
It was almost as if this time, she was no match for Olivia’s looks because her elegance had doubled unimaginably. Shirley no longer saw that weak, pitiful look in Olivia’s eyes; instead, it was replaced with a deep, burning desire to make her pay for ruining her life completely.
“Ethan,” Shirley called, but was completely ignored,
It was almost as if he was solely focused on Olivia’s presence alone, and apart from that, nothing else mattered,
Shirley bit her lower lips angrily staring at Olivia. Her presence back in New York only meant doom in her marriage because she was certain that Ethan was still very much madly in love with Olivia,
The room was suddenly filled with jamming hands, and Olivia lowered her head to greet everyone,
“At least I forget, there’s something important I want to do right here and now.” She uttered and silence suddenly overtook the hall as everyone took their seat,
Olivia averted her gaze to Ethan, a gaze which she tore away from after a few seconds, and brought them to Bryan, then she cleared her throat aloud,
“I’d like to especially thank someone so special. Someone who came into my life at a point when I thought everything was over and saw what no one could see in me. Someone who gave me a chance to understand that life was indeed worth living
nd loving, Bryan Miller.” Olivia uttered,
Please come forward.” She continued, and Bryan immediately rose to his feet. Meanwhile, Olivia could have sworn she
pain in Ethan’s eyes, and something wasn’t just right,
In the past, it was all about her chasing after him and trying to be the good wife, but right now, maybe things had changed,
The look she had seen in Ethan’s eyes the moment she had called Bryan’s name, was a look that left her understanding something,
Maybe now, unlike before, she had her ex–husband at the tip of her finger,
