Ethan stood by, watching Bryan Miller hold Olivia’s hand with his eyes filled with so much worry,
Luke’s voice immediately took his focus away from that heartbreaking moment,
“Sir, the car is ready,” Luke uttered, standing behind Ethan. Once Ethan nodded his head, he turned around and began to walk away, not wanting to interrupt the couple’s sweet moment.
His heart couldn’t contain the pain, and Ethan tucked his hand into his pocket as he felt his phone buzzing,
“Get ready to have my father transferred to the new hospital, and inform Mr Miller about the changes made in the contract immediately,” Ethan ordered, tucking his phone back into his pocket the moment he saw who was calling,
As soon as he got to the car, he stepped into it, ignited the engine and drove away,
“Hey, watch it, man; what the hell are you thinking?” The loud warning from the man at his left side made Ethan snap out of his thoughts immediately, only to realize there were heaps of cars waiting behind him,
“Move already.” A driver from the back who brought his head out of his car yelled, making Ethan realize he was first in line and the traffic light had long indicated green,
“Fuck!” He murmured and began driving,
Taking a deep breath in and out, Ethan quickly found a parking spot by the roadside and halted his car after a few minutes of driving without concentration. Out of anger, his knuckles began to hit the wheels so hard until they turned white as the memories of one and half years ago came rushing back in full force,
“Sir, madam has been in there for days without food and water, what do we do?”
Ethan readjusted his necktie with one of his hands tucked his pocket and picked up his suitcase from the center table as he rose to his feet,
“She’s an attention seeker, and right now, that’s what she wants. I don’t have time for this bullshit.” He angrily responded to the maid and began to walk away.
“Luke, let’s head to the company immediately! I have an urgent meeting with an investor.” Ethan ordered and immediately stepped into the car. As he got in, he tucked his hand into his pocket and brought out his phone,
Going through his Instagram without seeing a response, Ethan heaved deeply,
Shirley was ignoring him and all the messages he had sent to her. She had left after finding out that Ethan was getting married to Olivia as to her, she had betrayed him and the love that they both shared,
“Please, Shirley, talk to me. I miss you so much, and I love you. I want you back and I’ll keep trying no matter what.” He texted underneath the multiple messages that had been sent earlier, and heaved again,
“Sir, your father called earlier. Mr Maxwell has invited you to the upcoming opening party for the launching of the new products.”
“Cancel any party for now. I can’t bear to keep going anywhere with her Luke, so cancel all parties for now.” Ethan commanded’as he tucked his phone back into his pocket. The look of frustration was written on his face as he shut his eyes and relaxed back on the seat.
Everything was Olivia’s fault! She had ruined his life completely and he wasn’t done making her pay yet.

As soon as Ethan stepped out of the call, his phone immediately began to ring and he tucked his hand into his pocket,
“Sir! Madam isn’t waking up; she fainted, and she’s burning up badly.” A lady’s voice broke out on the phone and Ethan immediately widened his eyes,
He ended the call immediately and then to leave but another call came in and he instantly picked up the call,
“Ethan.” The soft voice made him halt in his tracks, but remained quiet for a few seconds,
“Ethan, are you there?”
With an excited voice, Ethan responded, “Shirley? Tell me where the hell you are and I’ll come to you immediately.”

“Daddy!” Eva’s voice made a smile form on Ethan’s lips as he picked the little girl up in his arms,
“Did you miss Daddy?” He questioned and she nodded her head gently,
“Yes, Daddy. Mommy said you aren’t coming back home for a long time. She says someone you care about more than me is in the city now.”
Ethan arched his brows. Shirley had been feeding their daughter a lot of nonsense and he was pissed,
“That’s not true, baby; Daddy had a lot of work to do, so he had to stay away for a bit.” He responded and kissed her forehead,
“Why don’t you tell her the truth, Ethan? I think she should know what her fate will be soon. She should know her dearest daddy will abandon her soon and it’s only a matter of time.”
“What the hell is wrong with you?” He yelled in anger but Shirley scoffed out loud,
“What the hell is wrong with me? I should be asking you that fucking question! What the freaking hell is wrong with you, Ethan? Six good fucking years and she still has this much effect on you? What happened to all the damn promises you made to me in the past? What happened to the perfect life you promised to give our little family?” Shirley yelled back at him as tears rolled down her eyes,
“You were with her last night, weren’t you? Olivia! She reeks all over you”
“I’m not going to have this conversation with you.” Ethan retorted but as he tried to walk away with Eva in his arms, Shirley yelled,
“You have no idea!” She uttered, making him cock his head towards her again as he held Eva tightly,
The little girl had heard and seen should already,
“You have no idea, Ethan, because you never pay attention to your daughter! You have no idea that she’s dying!!”
