Unexpectedly, she bumped into Lenora just as she reached downstairs.
“What are you doing here?” Lenora questioned, glaring at Anneliese in surprise.
Zacharias, seeing that Lenora had poor grades and failed to get into college through the SAT, wanted to send her abroad for a better education. However, Lenora, who was terrible at foreign languages, whined and refused to go.
As a result, he had no choice but to secure Lenora a spot as an auditing student by donating to a scholarship program at Astoria University.
The reason she showed up in this building was to find the aircraft manufacturing major’s campus heartthrob, whom she had a crush on.
Although she was just an auditing student, she was generous with her money and had crafted herself as the rich, beautiful young lady on campus.
Everyone was aware that her family owned a tech company, and she had some friends on campus willing to hang out with her.
“Lenora, who is she? Is she also a student here?” asked Fiona Jones, one of Lenora’s friends.
Then, another friend, Heather Lynch, also added, “She’s so pretty. How come I’ve never seen her before?”
“Impossible! She didn’t even finish high school! She can’t be a student here at Astoria University,” Lenora immediately remarked disdainfully.
Fiona and Heather both wore a contemptuous look upon hearing that Anneliese hadn’t even finished high school.
At once, they lost interest in Anneliese.
Lenora, not wanting her friends to know that Anneliese was her sister–in–law, rushed toward Anneliese and pulled her under a nearby tree.
“Anneliese, did you apply for a janitorial job here? Even if you divorce Zach, you still don’t have to take up menial jobs like this, right? Or are you doing this on purpose?
“You know Coral is a student here, so you got a job here. What exactly are you trying to do,
huh?”

Anneliese treated her as if she were a fool.

“You’re not the boss of me. I don’t need your permission for what I do. What are you so nervous about? Afraid I’ll expose the dirty deeds Zach has done?”
“You promised us that you wouldn’t make a big deal out of it once the divorce is registered. Are you going back on your word now?”
Enraged, Lenora grabbed Anneliese and refused to let go.
“I don’t care what you’re up to. Get the hell out of Astoria University now!”
Anneliese couldn’t be bothered with her. “I suggest you let go of me now. If not, don’t blame me for talking about our relationship and Zach’s shameful affairs with your friends right here, right now,” she said coldly, a smirk playing on her lips.
Panic struck Lenora when she saw that Anneliese was about to raise her voice. At once, she
released her.
Seeing that she was free, Anneliese turned around and prepared to leave. “Anneliese, it’s totally pointless to target Coral. Do you know where Zach is right now?” Lenora retorted as she couldn’t stand seeing her so arrogant.
Of course, I know. He’s with Selina, Anneliese answered silently. Well, Zacharias and I already registered our divorce. I don’t give a d*mn even if he’s having a three–way relationship with Selina and Coral now.
She continued walking, but Lenora gained a step.
“You don’t know, do you? The one Zach truly likes is Selina! And right now, he’s with her.
“By the way, it’s Selina’s birthday in a couple of days. Mr. White, Mrs. White, and Perseus will all fly to Agylae to celebrate her birthday.
“No one even remembers that it’s also your birthday that day,
“Oh, Anneliese, you poor thing”
Anneliese and Selina shared the same birthday.
However, after Anneliese returned to the White estate, Selina refused to celebrate with her. Hence, the Whites changed the date of Anneliese’s birthday, giving Selina a day all to herself.
Even so, they always forgot the date and never properly celebrated Anneliese’s birthday with
her.

Even though Anneliese had given up on their affections, her heart still ached a little when she heard what Lenora said.
She turned around, her gaze as cold as ice. “Are you done? Believe it or not, I’ll stuff this mop in your mouth if you don’t leave now.”
As she spoke, she raised her hand, and the mop went straight toward Lenora’s face.
Seeing this, Lenora screamed and turned to run.
Anneliese had walked away by the time Lenora’s friends approached her.
“Lenora, why is she so rude? Are you okay?”
“Yeah, Lenora. A pretty high school dropout like her–God knows what kind of work she has been doing. How do you even know someone like her?”
“We used to live in the same neighborhood. I wanted to help her after seeing her so down and out. But who knew she couldn’t handle the shame and got mad instead,” said Lenora, hiding the truth from her friends with a smile.
Upon hearing that, Fiona added, “Well, some people just don’t appreciate kindness. Lenora, I know you’re kind, but you shouldn’t bother with people like her. The school is too lax in hiring janitors.”
“Look at her, simply dressed and acting like she’s a student here. Maybe she’s trying to seduce one of our seniors. Well, well, well. Little does she know, she looks like a seductive fool who’s bad at her studies. It’s hilarious,” Heather echoed.
“True. Not many pretty ones can get into our school. But I heard there was once an amazing senior in the School of Aviation. Not only was she drop–dead gorgeous, but she was also top in her field.”
