He had no idea what nonsense Jonathan was up to.

Zane felt wronged, but he could only sigh in exasperation.

Immediately, he stood up and strode toward the exit.
The manager hurried after him.
Having worked at Velour for so long, he was sharp and experienced.
He’d seen his fair share of men coming in to catch cheating partners before.
But he could tell Jonathan wasn’t here to fool around.
He was on a mission to catch a cheater, cause trouble, and maybe even trash the place.

He glanced at the manager, about to question him, when a somewhat familiar woman came rushing over in a panic.
“My friend is missing! Where did you take her?”
She continued, “If anything happens to her, I’ll burn this place down with my bare hands!”
The manager had dealt with troublemakers many times.
He was about to brush her off and signal security to remove her when Jonathan’s deep voice
sounded.

Jessica turned and recognized him instantly.
She hurriedly nodded.
“Yes! It’s Anne. She told me she was going to the bathroom but never came back.

In her hand was a broken phone.
Jonathan recognized the case immediately–there was no doubt it belonged to Anneliese.
He glared at the manager.
“Find her!” He barked coldly.
The manager’s face went pale.
This was bad. If Jonathan’s woman got into trouble at Velour, it would be the worst crisis of his
career.
Inside the private room, Zane watched as Jonathan left.
Drama was nothing new to him, yet he was dumbfounded by this.
“No way! Is he really here to catch a cheater? Since when did he have a woman? Am I dreaming, or simply too jet–lagged?”
Carter shrugged helplessly.
Both turned to Joel, who looked equally stunned.
Was that actually Mrs. Shaw?
Though they had suspected Jonathan might have a thing for married women, it was only a suspicion.
Surely he wasn’t this desperate,
He waved his hand. “Don’t look at me. I didn’t set him up!”
Zane got up and chased after him.

Zane grabbed the woman trying to follow them.
“What’s happening? Where are they going?”
It was none other than Jessica.
Jessica hadn’t expected Jonathan to take matters into his own hands.
Before she could come around, the manager had already followed him timidly.
She tried to go after them, but someone grabbed her just then.
Seeing the manager leave with Jonathan, she spun around, annoyed, and swung her hand.
“Let go, or I’ll beat you up!”
