Rosie bit her lip and hurried after Kevin as he walked out. Her eyes darted around, thoughts swirling in her
mind like a storm.
“Dad, let’s find a corner to sit down and talk,” Rosie said quietly.
She forced herself to look at the people around her; these were faces she’d only ever seen on TV, and now they were all right here in front of her.
Suddenly, a wave of fear surged up from deep inside. Rosie pressed her lips together, doing her best to steady her nerves and keep her composure.
Kevin instantly frowned and shot Rosie a glare, clearly annoyed. “What are you talking about? This is such a great chance.”
“Don’t cause any trouble for me today.” Kevin’s scolding completely killed Rosie’s urge to say anything more. He just lowered his head, hiding the look in her eyes.
Her heart was still pounding like crazy, thumping against her chest.
Rosie instinctively clenched her fists. As she turned around, she was startled to see that familiar, icy face staring back at her.
Seeing that no one was paying attention to her, Rosie hurried over in the direction of that figure.
Zina was now standing in an inconspicuous spot, calmly watching this big event that was supposed to be hers.
For some reason, not the slightest ripple of emotion stirred inside her. It was as if none of this had anything to do with her at all.
Just as she was about to turn and leave, Zina looked up and found herself staring into a pair of mocking eyes.
To her surprise, it was Rosie, someone she hadn’t seen in ages. Zina couldn’t help but wonder what Rosie was doing here at a time like this.
“What is it?” Zina said coldly.
Rosie was about to walk away, but as Zina passed Rosie, she suddenly felt her wrist seized. Rosie lifted her chin, let out a cold snort, and looked at her with utter disdain.
“How did you sneak in here? Look at you, all shabby and pathetic. Did your sugar daddy bring you along? Or are you hoping to find a new one tonight?” she sneered.
Rosie added, “Why don’t you take a good look at yourself in the mirror? Just being near you is bad luck.
“You’d better keep those filthy thoughts to yourself. This is the Lambert family, you know. Have you even
heard of them?”
“Seriously, I’m actually really close with Miss Lambert. If you bow and beg me right now, maybe–if I’m in a

Rosie smirked, shooting Zina a condescending look from above. Seeing Zina still unbothered, Rosie mocked her, biting out her words with extra venom.
“Even if you managed to sneak in here with your sugar daddy, you really think you’ve got any pride left? Think it through. Just wait till they toss you out in front of everyone. That’ll be even more humiliating,” Rosie warned.
Rosie spat out those last words, watching Zina smugly, determined not to miss a single flicker of emotion on her face.
But the flustered panic and helplessness Rosie had imagined were nowhere to be seen.
Zina just stood there, icy as ever, her gaze calm and indifferent as she looked at her.
Rosie clenched her fists tightly. “You bitch, you stole my identity all these years, enjoying all the luxury that should have been mine. How do you even have the nerve to show up in front of me?
“Who do you think you are, always acting so high and mighty?”
Zina rubbed her ear and said, “You’re so noisy.” She shot Rosie a cold glance, then turned and walked away without another word.
Rosie was left standing there, stunned, her face still twisted with resentment.
‘Why does she get everything?‘ Rosie fumed inwardly. ‘I have already kicked Zina out of the Sinclair family, so how come she was still living better than I? It was so unfair. It made her blood boil.‘
Hatred burned in Rosie’s eyes as she stared after Zina. Suddenly, a cold, sinister smile crept onto her lips.

Meanwhile, Zina had already returned backstage. She stretched lazily, glanced around the empty room, then slouched in the makeup chair, glancing at the doorway.
“How long have you been standing there? Aren’t you tired? Come on out,” Zina said.
“When did you figure it out?” Kellan asked, his face full of curiosity as he stepped out with a smile,
There was curiosity in his eyes, but even more, he looked her over with a hint of appraisal.
“So you were hiding your identity all this time, huh? I never would’ve thought you were actually the Lambert family’s missing daughter,” Kellan said.
He raised his hand to his mouth and laughed, his eyes soft and gentle as he looked at her. “You really are something. Even I almost got fooled by you.”
“That’s not quite right. After all, you still managed to figure it out, didn’t you? In front of you, all I could do was show off a few little tricks,” Zina said. She turned her head and gave him a gentle, warm smile.

Griffin suddenly had an idea, “Go and find out if she cares about anyone in particular. Kidnap them, and then tell Kaia to come alone, or they’ll be killed.”
“By the way, don’t use our people… Hire some people who specialize in this kind of thing. Remember to be careful and cautious, and don’t let Tobias catch anything.”
“Yes, I’ll do it right away.”
“Call more people, find some powerful ones. Don’t worry about the money.”
Griffin was determined to make Kaia suffer.
Kaia received a call from Conrad early in the morning.
Looking at the time, it was only a little after nine o’clock. Usually, Conrad wouldn’t call her at this time, so something must be urgent.
“Hello?”
“Miss Bennett, why isn’t Scott here?”
Kaia was stunned. “Scott has always been punctual. He shouldn’t be late.”
“Yes! I know his character well. It’s past nine o’clock, and he used to arrive at the company a little after eight. Did something happen on the way?”
“Don’t jinx it.”
After Conrad spat a few times, he was still very worried, “Should I send some people to look for him?”
“Wait a moment.” Kaia had an incoming call.
The person calling was Scott.
“Scott is calling”
With that, Kaia answered the call from Scott.
A strange voice answered the phone.
“Are you Scott’s sister?”
Kaia felt a bad premonition as she listened to the extremely unfriendly voice.
“Who are you? Why do you have my brother’s phone? Where is he?”
“Who am I? Obviously, I’m a kidnapper! Your brother is in my hands. Listen, if you dare call the police, we’ll

Kellan looked a bit exasperated; there was really no stopping her when she set her mind to something. After a short pause, he spoke up again.
“Whatever. Honestly, your new identity makes things a whole lot easier for me. With the two of us working together, we’ll be even more unstoppable,” he said.
“So, don’t you think it’s time you let me in on your next move?” Zina raised an eyebrow at him, her eyes suddenly turning sharp and serious.
Just then, someone knocked on the door of the dressing room.
Zina’s brows knitted together as she shot a quick glance at Kellan. “Find somewhere to hide, quick. I’ll go see what’s happening,” she said in a low, urgent voice.
Not waiting for Kellan to answer, Zina headed straight for the door. Zina opened the door to see a haggard face staring back at her.
Lydia looked utterly exhausted, like she hadn’t slept in days; it was as if just making it here had taken everything she had left.
“Are you feeling especially proud of yourself today?” Lydia said through gritted teeth, locking eyes with Zina.
Lydia dug her nails deep into her palms; she didn’t even notice the pain, just kept staring at Zina with fierce intensity. It looked like she might lunge at Zina at any moment.
This was a side of Lydia that Zina had never seen before–her darkest, most vicious self. It actually made Zina a little curious. She crossed her arms and looked at Lydia with a faint, mocking smirk.
Zina said, “Why are you here? I told you from the very beginning, I have zero interest in anything that belongs to you. I never wanted to compete with you for anything.
I honestly don’t get why you’re so hostile toward me; there’s really no need for this.”
Zina’s gaze stayed calm as she looked at Lydia, but inside, a sudden wave of helplessness washed over her,
She truly couldn’t figure out what was going on in Lydia’s mind, or why Lydia had come looking for her now.
The only thing Zina could be sure of was that Lydia’s hatred for her ran deep. Even now, when Zina had done absolutely nothing, that hatred hadn’t lessened.
Zina pressed her lips together, her frown deepening.
At that moment, Lydia, who had been silent all along, suddenly looked up and gave Zina a half–smile, her expression unreadable.
She sneered, “You don’t actually think you can just come back to the Lambert family after tonight’s acknowledgment party, do you? Let me tell you. As long as I’m here, that’s never going to happen.
“Zina, just wait. You think you can ruin my family? There’s no way I’m going to sit back and watch.”
Lydia’s smile was downright chilling. She left those ominous words hanging in the air, then turned and

kill him immediately and make sure you two siblings are separated forever, never to see each other again.” The fierce voice was full of threat.
Kaia’s eyes instantly filled with frost, “If anything happens to him, I will find you to the ends of the earth and make you wish you were dead, filled with endless regret.”
As she said this, she had already opened her laptop, and her fingers were clattering on it, starting to track and locate the other party’s location.
“You have a lot of nerve, threatening us now. We are kidnappers, are we supposed to be afraid of you? Let me tell you, prepare 300 thousand dollars. I’ll give you the address, come quickly, or I’ll throw your brother into the sea to feed the fish. Let me remind you again, only you come.”
“Our people are nearby. If you dare to inform anyone else, you bear the consequences yourself.”
“Let me hear his voice to prove he’s still alive.” As Kaia spoke, she continued to type on her laptop, increasing the speed to the extreme, her ten fingers moving so fast that they left afterimages.
“Why are you talking nonsense when I told you to get 300 thousand dollars together as soon as possible?”
“If he’s already dead, it’s pointless for me to go. Why waste time?”
“You dare to challenge me? I’d say you’re bold, and you really are! Stop the nonsense, I’m warning you, if you
“I’ll say it one last time. I want to hear his voice, or I’m hanging up.” Kaia coldly interrupted the other party.
The reason she dared to be so assertive wasn’t that she didn’t care about Scott, but based on the tone of the other party’s voice and her own intuitive experience, she judged that this wasn’t an ordinary kidnapping case.
She had previously helped the police solve many difficult cases, which was her confidence.
The kidnapper looked towards Griffin, who was sitting in the chair, “Mr. Moreno, she wants to hear Scott’s voice, otherwise she won’t believe it.”
“What a troublesome woman!” Griffin gritted his teeth and muttered, “Let her listen.”
“Okay, Mr. Moreno
The kidnapper tore off the tape on Scott’s mouth.
“Kaia! Don’t come over, this is a trap! Don’t-
Before Scott could finish shouting, he was kicked to the ground by the kidnapper and then rudely taped up again.
“Mm, mm-” Scott was anxious, his eyes were red, and he kept struggling, but he was tied too tightly to break
free.
Through the phone, Kaia could hear clearly that Scott had been beaten.

A gloomy aura instantly spread out.
This time, Kaia was truly furious.
At the same time, she also found the location.
“I’m coming over immediately.” After hanging up the phone, Kaia immediately called Joel.
