Griffin’s knees were hit hard, and he immediately bent his knees and knelt heavily on the ground.
“You damned little bastard! Who gave you the guts to hire someone to kill Kaia? Do you know you’re courting death?”
Keaton yelled in exasperation, fuming with anger, his entire body shaking like a storm about to break.
Griffin was dumbfounded; it was the first time he had seen Keaton so angry.
“Grandpa, I don’t understand. Why are you protecting Kaia so much? I’m your grandson! Even if you like her, you can’t beat me like this for her!”
“I don’t have a grandson like you! If I had known you had such a bad character, I should have strangled you as soon as you were born, so you wouldn’t have caused such a catastrophe!”
Keaton’s face turned pale with anger, and he continued to hit him with his cane while scolding him.
Griffin was unconvinced. Ignoring the pain, he howled. “Grandpa, how did that bitch bewitch you? Isn’t she just a country bumpkin?”
Hearing this, Keaton’s eyes widened, “How, how could I have such an arrogant and brainless grandson like you? Even now, do you still think she is just an ordinary person? Are you out of your mind?”
“I-” Griffin was about to say something when his eyes suddenly landed on the thousands of fully armed people. After a sudden pause, he suddenly turned to look at Joel.
At this moment, Joel was standing in front and to the side of Kaia, protecting her safety like a bodyguard.
Everyone in Wustriland knew that Joel, King of Fighters, was someone’s personal bodyguard.
Thinking of this, Griffin’s eyes and mouth widened.
“This, this, this… How is this possible? How could she possibly be…?”
“Just figured it out? Your brain really is just like your mother’s. Back when your father wanted to marry her, I strongly opposed it. Not for anything else, but because of your mother’s IQ. Even then, I was worried about the genetic traits being passed down, so my judgment was right!”
Keaton was deeply regretful. If only he had strongly opposed his third son’s marriage back then,
Griffin’s brain was buzzing. He finally understood some things. No wonder his grandfather tried every possible way to bring Kaia and Tobias together. No wonder his cousin had changed his previous attitude and showed Kaia so much love. So that was the reason.
After Griffin swallowed hard, his gaze gradually shifted to Kaia. Now, looking at her cold and indifferent face, he dared not have any more covetousness or disdain. Only terror and awe.

whoever was dragging her.
Once they reached the restroom on the second floor, the big hand finally released Rosic, giving her a chance
to catch her breath.
Looking up at the man in front of her, Rosie instinctively bit her lip, putting on her most helpless, pitiful look.
“Olivie, why did you pull me away like that? Didn’t you see how wronged I was just now? I was so miserable I could die,” Rosie said, her voice trembling.
As she spoke, Rosie wiped at the corners of her eyes, looking up at him expectantly, waiting for some comfort. But the comforting words she was expecting never came.
Rosie glanced up at him, only to find his eyes icy cold; there wasn’t a trace of the gentleness he used to have.
“Oh, so you know what misery feels like?” Olivie let out a cold snort, his eyes full of contempt.
Rosie stiffened, a sudden realization flashing across her face. In a panic, she reached out and clung to Olivie’s sleeve.
“Olivie, let me explain. It was all Zina—she set me up just now, I swear,” Rosie pleaded, her voice shaking.
“Oh yeah? Then what are you so afraid of?” Olivie closed in on her, his eyes icy. “Do you really think it’s fun to make a fool out of me?”
“Olivie, I didn’t.” Rosie was on the verge of tears, but all she got from him was a cold, distrustful stare. In the end, he didn’t even bother to say another word to her.
Ethan just shot Rosie a look that said it all. “Don’t bother coming to me anymore,” he said coldly.
With that, Olivie turned and walked away, his steps firm and resolute, making it clear he had no intention of staying.
Rosie hurried after him, desperate to catch up. But as soon as she stepped out the door, she ran smack into Kevin, who was rushing over.
Kevin was already fuming when he saw Rosie. Without a word, he grabbed her and dragged her downstairs, scolding her nonstop the whole way. “Where have you been? I couldn’t find you anywhere.
“Do you even realize the party’s about to start? Go find Miss Lambert right now, and remember–do whatever it takes to get the Lambert family to give us a little extra.”
As he spoke, Kevin could already see himself rising up in the world. Being able to get in with the Lambert family must be the luckiest thing.
“Dad, I—” Rosie hesitated, her voice barely above a whisper, not knowing how to explain herself.
She hadn’t even caught a glimpse of Lydia yet, let alone figured out how to just walk up to her and talk business.

Keaton breathed out a deep breath and turned to look at Kaia. “Kaia, this matter is entirely his own fault. You can deal with him however you want. You don’t need to consider my feelings.”
Kaia frowned. Although Keaton said that, he had once saved her family, and he had always been so good to
her.
If this matter only involved her, that would be fine, but Griffin had kidnapped her brother.
A lion had a spot that must never be provoked–and her family was that spot.
Keaton saw Kaia’s dilemma and sighed a long sigh, instantly feeling ten years older.
“Kaia, I’m sorry, this is embarrassing for you. How about I kick this little bastard out of the country and never allow him to come back in his lifetime?”
Kaia nodded, “It’s up to you.”
“Thank you, Kaia.” Keaton was grateful from the bottom of his heart. He knew Kaia’s temper. What’s more, if Kaia didn’t have a huge background, how miserable her end would be, and her brother might not be able to get away unscathed.
All of this, like what he just said, was Griffin’s own fault and had nothing to do with others.
Griffin instantly collapsed to the ground. It was over.
“Scott, let’s go, I’ll take you to apply some medicine.” Kaia said, looking at Scott.
Scott withdrew his puzzled gaze from Keaton and Griffin.
“Kaia, they are not ordinary people, right?”
“Yes.” Kaia nodded.
“Then who are they-” Scott stopped and didn’t ask further.
“Kaia, I’m hungry.” He was sure that his sister had her reasons for not mentioning it.
He also didn’t ask any more questions about Joel and those soldiers with complete equipment and heavy weapons. He believed that one day, his sister would tell him.
“Then you’d better head back early,” Kaia was very pleased with Scott’s attitude today.
“Okay.” Scott smiled obediently.
This matter was not over.
Judith completely broke down after learning that Griffin had been sent abroad and would not be allowed to return for the rest of his life.
“Honey, what are you dawdling for? Come down quickly and settle the score with Dad. Why did he send Griffin away and not allow him to come back?”

But Kevin, completely lost in his world, didn’t even bother listening to her.

With a big grin and a bold wave of his hand, he said grandly, “Just go already. Don’t worry about a thing. I’m waiting for your good news.”
With that, Kevin gave Rosie a firm shove, not giving her a chance to say another word.
Rosie clenched her fists, fully aware that if she couldn’t secure the partnership this time, there’d be hell to pay when she got home. With no other options, she had no choice but to search the crowd for Lydia.
But no matter how hard she looked, Lydia was nowhere to be found. As the party officially started, Rosie could only bite her lip and pick a random seat, feeling more anxious than ever.
Rosie was surprised to see Zina here as well. And this time, Zina wasn’t with Kellan; she was sitting by herself in the most eye–catching spot.
Not willing to be outdone, Rosie strode toward the front. She had barely taken two steps when suddenly, a maid rushed out and blocked her way.
“Miss, the seats up front are reserved for the hosts‘ family. There are seats prepared for guests like you in the back, so please take your seat there,” the maid said, her tone polite but unyielding.
“What’s that supposed to mean? Are you looking down on me and trying to mess with me on purpose?” Rosie snapped, her voice shooting up several notches as she glared daggers at the maid.
“Miss, please don’t make things difficult for us. If you keep this up, I’ll have to call security,” the maid said, her tone steady and unyielding as she stood firmly in front of Rosie.
She had no intention of letting Rosie pass.
That was the final straw for Rosie. She shoved the maid forcefully, her voice suddenly shooting up several
octaves.
“How dare you, a servant, look down on me? Can’t you see there’s someone else sitting up there? Why does she get to sit there and I can’t?
“Just because she’s got some big shot backing her? You really judge others by their status,” Rosie yelled, her voice echoing through the hall.
All the pent–up frustration and humiliation finally burst out of Rosie, her face flushing bright red as she argued with the maid, her voice growing louder and more desperate.
Their argument got so loud that everyone nearby started staring at them. Before long, all eyes in the room
were on them.
Kevin was stunned, rubbing his eyes in disbelief. When he realized it was Rosie causing the commotion, it hit him like a ton of bricks; he almost lost his balance right then and there.
At that moment, Rosie, her eyes blazing red with anger, forcefully shoved the maid out of her way and stormed straight toward Zina.

Jameson frowned so hard.

“I just made a call from the study and sent someone to find out what’s going on. It seems that Griffin kidnapped Kaia’s younger brother to coerce her. By chance, Dad witnessed this and took a thousand people over there.”
“How could this be so serious? Griffin is just a youngster. He just played a joke by taking Kaia’s brother away. Is Kaia making a big deal out of it? How could she make Dad drive Griffin out and never let him come back? Griffin is my son, his grandson. I can’t believe this!” Judith roared fiercely.
Jameson also felt that this matter had gone too far. But from his understanding of Keaton, although he was frustrated with Griffin for not living up to expectations, he was still his own grandson–the one he had watched grow up. There was no reason for him to mete out such a harsh punishment over a minor incident.
Therefore, things might not be that ‘simple.
“Let’s go find Dad first and find out what’s going on.”
“Of course we have to go, but do we need to find out? It must be Kaia; she wouldn’t let things go and forced Dad to make such a decision. I have already sent someone to the airport to intercept the people Dad sent to send Griffin away. Griffin is my son, and I will never stand by and watch Griffin being driven away.” Judith looked sinister.
Jameson’s eyes widened, “What did you say? You, you sent someone to intercept Dad’s people?”
“That’s right.”
“You really have a lot of guts. Griffin even dares to do things like kidnapping people. It turns out that he inherited this courage from you.” Jameson suddenly remembered the scene more than 20 years ago when his father strongly opposed him marrying Judith.
Thinking back, the old really were the sharpest–his dad had a good eye for people. But now, it was too late to do or say anything.
“Wasn’t that your dad forcing him to do that? Who told him to be so cruel and send Griffin abroad? It’s no use regretting it now. I already sent someone out. I estimate that my people have already settled Griffin in a place
where no one knows.”
As she spoke, Judith thought of Kaia, and a strong sense of hatred came over her.
