“What?” Dave uttered, widening his eyes as he stared at Stella,
“What did you just say?”
“I said I’m pregnant Dave. We’re Gavin baby.” Stella responded, drawing the test result closer to his side of the table,
“Here, have a look yourself. I’ve been trying so hard to reach you to tell you the good news and I waited for days but you didn’t come home either. Tell me what’s wrong? Did I do something wrong?” Stella questioned as she stared at him open the results,
His eyes didn’t blink, not even for a second and the moment Dave’s eyes confirmed what he was looking for, ge dropped the result on the table,
“Why didn’t you leave a text? I fucking wouldn’t have ignored you if I didn’t see a text.”
“I just wanted to tell you in person, babe. I wanted it to be special for you. This is all I’ve ever wished for, a little family, our little family because we’re starting one soon.” Stella muttered,
Dave raised his brows and continued to stare at her, his mind battling against so many thoughts. The news of the pregnancy had certainly changed a lot in his mind coupled with the fact that he couldn’t deny he was still very much madly in love with Stella,
“A…..a…are you happy?” Stella muttered with a shaky voice, nervously clasping her palms together under the table as she questioned, and when he nodded his head, the expression on her face turned into a smile,
“Come here, baby…” Dave uttered as he rose to his feet, opening his arms so she could get into his embrace,
With a slight chuckle, she walked into his embrace, wrapping her arms around his body as he planted a soft kiss on her forehead,
“I’m sorry, I’m so damn sorry for being a dick head, Stella. I just lost it for a second, but I promise it’s not going to happen again.” He murmured and Stella nodded her head in response. Thankfully, she had gotten her boyfriend back and nothing was more important than that.
“I forgive you, Dave; I just want you to come back to me. I want us to be happy again because I don’t want to lose you.” She muttered and he nodded his head slightly before pecking her forehead again. A lot might have happened in the past, but it wasn’t her fault and he was just realizing this,
Who knows Stella might have been unaware of her mother’s deeds because if she was, then she would certainly not hate her mother to the point of always wanting to discard any conversation about her,
“I love you. I love you so much.” Stella muttered, resting her head on his chest with her arms tightly wrapped around his waist. A part of her was so scared about losing him earlier,
“I love you too baby.” Dave responded, “Do you want me to take you home? I’ll spend the next week making up with you.” He uttered and she nodded her head. When the hug was broken, unexpectedly he swept Stella off her feet and she chuckled aloud,
“I’m going to be a father!” Dave yelled out loud, twirling Stella around while holding her tightly in his arms,
He hadn’t believed how much he wanted to hear news like this until today. He certainly wouldn’t take his father’s step and abandon his child ever and that was why he chose to forgive the past the moment he had heard they were expecting a baby.
“Are you really that happy?” Stella murmured, and she watched him nod his head almost immediately,

“Happy is an understatement, darling, I’ve never been so filled with joy all my life. Do you want lunch? I’ll buy you the entire restaurant.”
“You’d do that?”
“I’ll do more to make it up to you and our baby, Stella. I won’t ever leave you again, I promise.” He responded and dropped her,
“I just want nothing more than for us to raise this baby with so much love as its parent,” Stella uttered. The last thing she wanted was for her child to go through the same thing she went through at a tender age because of her mother’s desire for marriage to wealthy men,
“We’ll be together forever.” He murmured and hugged her again.
The car halted at one of the fanciest restaurants in Australia and when Dave stepped out first, he rushed over to the other side so he could open the door for Stella,
“Thank you, hubby.” She teased, holding her bag as she stepped out like an elegant lady,
“You’re welcome wifey. Give me your hand, I want the world to know you’re mine.”
With their hands interlocked, they both walked inside the restaurant. Upon seeing Dave, a young lady dressing in a black and white uniform rushed towards him,
“Mr Dave Foster?”
He nodded his head,
“Your reservation is this way, please follow me.”
Stella arched her brows but didn’t utter a word afterward. The elevator halted and the doors opened so they could step out. At the sight of the decorations, Stella not only widen her eyes in shock, but she let out a gasp,
“I do hope you love it and you enjoy your time today. Please have a nice time.” The lady uttered and began to walk heading towards the elevator,
Every damn thing was just like a feast with so many dishes arrangement on a large table,
“How did you do all of this?”
“All I had to do was make a call to continue the preparation I had made a few days ago. I hope we can start with this, Stella. One step at a time and I’ll show you how much I love you.”
He took her hand and pulled out a seat for her,
“Thank
you so much, Dave,” Stella muttered as she sat down.

As soon as Dave took his seat, his phone began to ring on the table and once he saw the caller, he raised his gaze to stare at Stella,
“I’ll be right back in a jiffy, baby, I need to take this call.” Stella nodded her head and Dave immediately rose to his feet,
Heading outside, he shut the door and stood at the entrance as the voice uttered from the other side,

“Mom needs to see you, David.” His sister Natalia uttered, but Dave let out a sigh,
“Tell Mom she’ll only get to see me if she finally decides to accept Stella as her daughter–in–law, else she won’t ever see my face again. Goodbye, Natalia.” Dave uttered and before she could respond, he ended the call and tucked the phone back into his pocket.
If there was one thing Dave was certain of, it was that his mother would certainly come through because of the fear of losing him forever.
