CHAPTER 67
ANNA’S POV
“You are the biggest red flag I have ever met in my entire life,” Sasha snapped as we all walked into the game center, her voice sharp enough to make a few kids standing near the dance machines turn their heads.
Honestly, the only reason we were even here was because our class had been cancelled earlier. Sasha had come over since she suddenly had free time, and Chris had shown up too because he hadn’t hung out with Ryan in a while. With nothing better to do, Ryan suggested we go out, maybe to an amusement park or the game center, and after debating for a while, the game center won.
Chris smirked like he’d been waiting for Sasha to say something just like that, adjusting his jacket with that cocky grin plastered on his face. “Me? A red flag? Sweetheart, you’re a whole national emergency. You’re not just a red flag, you’re the fireworks show that comes after it.”
Sasha rolled her eyes so hard I thought they might get stuck. “Oh please, if I googled ‘narcissist‘ or ‘player, ‘your face would pop up with fireworks behind it.”
Chris leaned closer, smirking even wider like he was enjoying every second of this. “Admit it. You like
me.”
“Like you?” Sasha scoffed, folding her arms tightly. “I’d rather choke. You’re the kind of guy mothers
warn their daughters about. The whole package of trouble, ego, and bad decisions wrapped into one
man.”
Chris licked his lips, smug as ever. “You keep staring at my mouth, Sasha. Maybe you’re just imagining what it would feel like if I used it to shut you up.”
“Disgusting!” she snapped, smacking his shoulder, but I didn’t miss the way her lips twitched like she was fighting a smile.
I groaned, dragging my hand down my face. “Seriously? Can you two flirt somewhere else that doesn’t
burn my ears?”
Ryan chuckled under his breath, tugging me against his chest. “Come on, baby. Let’s leave them to their… whatever this is. Let’s go do something fun.”
The way his hand slipped lower told me exactly what kind of “fun” he was suggesting, and I shoved him away lightly with a smirk. “No thanks. I’d rather play with Sasha.”
I tugged Sasha’s arm before she could throw another insult at Chris. “Come on, let’s go play the dance game. Do something normal for once.”

She tore her glare away from Chris and sighed. “Fine. Anything to get away from him.”
Ryan smirked and dragged Chris toward the pool tables while Sasha and I climbed onto the dance platforms. The music boomed, lights flashing as arrows appeared on the screen. For a while, it was fun- until Sasha leaned toward me mid–dance and shouted over the music.
“Hey… is Chris single?”
I almost missed my step, whipping my head toward her with a wide grin. “Oh my God, you like him.”
“I do not!” she snapped, nearly tripping. “Don’t say that, Anna!”
“You totally do.” I laughed, pointing at her as I stomped along with the arrows. “You’ve been staring at him since we got here.”
“I wasn’t staring!” she shouted back, but right at that exact moment, Chris looked up from the pool table and caught her eyes. The way they froze, staring at each other, was so obvious I burst out laughing. Sasha tore her gaze away immediately, fumbling to fix her hair. “See? That was casual. Nothing else.”
“Yeah right,” I teased. “Casual glances don’t come with blushing, Sasha. Admit it.”
“I’ll admit he’s the kind of guy every girl should avoid,” she shot back quickly, stomping harder on the platform. “He’s a narcissist, a casanova, a total commitment–phobe. He probably keeps a notebook of women’s names and their favorite colors just to use them.”
I laughed so hard I nearly fell off my side of the machine. “You’re literally making things up now just to cover the fact that you think he’s cute.”
“Cute?” she repeated, like it was the nastiest word in the dictionary. “He’s not cute. He’s a headache dressed in expensive clothes.”
I shook my head, still grinning. But seeing her all flustered gave me the push to change the subject
completely. “Well, while you’re busy denying your little crush, I should probably tell you something…”
Her eyes narrowed, suspicious. “What?”
“I’m pregnant.”
The game beeped, signaling the round was over, but Sasha didn’t even notice. She froze, then screamed,”
What?!”
“Shh!” I hissed, grabbing her arm and yanking her off the platform before everyone in the arcade started staring. “Don’t scream like that.”
“You can’t just drop a bomb like that and tell me not to scream!” she gasped. “Pregnant? Anna, are you
serious?”
I nodded, my heart pounding. “Yeah. And… there’s more.”

Her face paled. “More? Anna, what else?”
I took a deep breath. “Ryan isn’t just my childhood friend like I told you. He’s… he was my brother.”
Her jaw hit the floor. “What?!”
“We’re not blood related,” I rushed out before she fainted. “I was adopted. My biological mom was my mom’s best friend, and when she died, my mom took me in. That’s how Ryan became my brother.”
The machine behind us flashed GAME OVER while Sasha stared at me in complete shock. “Wait… so you lived with him as your brother…. and now you’re telling me you two… slept together?”
“Shhh! Please, Sasha, keep it down. Nobody else can hear this,” I hissed, yanking her toward the restroom before she could scream again. I pushed the door open and quickly scanned the stalls, it looked quiet, completely empty, so I thought we were safe.
She clutched her chest, still wide–eyed. “I can’t believe this. Not only is he your brother, but you’re pregnant for him too? This is insane Anna!”
I nodded weakly, shame heating my cheeks. “Yeah… I know it’s weird.”
“Oh my God,” she muttered, pacing. “So when you said you were staying with your brother before, it was THIS Ryan that I know?!”
“Yes,” I admitted quietly.
Sasha nearly staggered back. “And now you’re pregnant with his baby?”
I threw my hands up. “How many times do I have to say yes?!”
She shook her head, breathless. “Do your parents even know you’re pregnant for your brother?”
I swallowed hard and nodded again. “Yeah. At first they didn’t take it well, but now… they’re okay.”
Her voice cracked. “Anna, this is insane. I don’t even know what to call this.”
I grabbed her hand, desperate for her to understand. “Please don’t judge me. You’re my best friend.”
Her expression softened, and to my shock, she pulled me into a hug. “I can never judge you. I completely understand. I’ll even be the godmother if you let me. I don’t care how messy this is, you’re my girl. We’ll get through this together.”
Tears blurred my vision, and I clung to her, crying into her shoulder. “Thank you.”
But then a slow clap echoed from one of the stalls. We both froze, pulling apart, our eyes darting to the door as it creaked open.
And there she was.
