Chapter 81
Author’s POV
Moore watched his mother’s humiliation with burning eyes. Suzanna, forced to kneel in the dirt before that bitch who’d returned to ruin everything. His mother’s beautiful face pressed to the gravel, tears streaming down her cheeks as Alpha Foster–the man who’d promised to make her Luna–commanded
her submission.
And all for what? For Summer, the weak female who’d abandoned her son and her pack. The one his
mother had told him was unworthy of being Luna, unworthy even of being a wolf.
As Alpha Foster led Summer away, Moore helped his trembling mother to her feet.
“He didn’t mean it, Mom,” he whispered, brushing dirt from her tear–streaked face. “He’s just confused because she’s back. It will pass.”
Suzanna gripped his arm with surprising strength. “This is her fault,” she hissed. “Everything was perfect before she returned. We were going to be a family–you, me, and Alpha Foster. She’s poisoning him
against us.”
Moore nodded, hatred crystallizing in his young heart. “I’ll help you drive her away, make her leave a
second time with her tail between her legs.”
His mother’s eyes narrowed. “Yes, she will leave again. Permanently this time.”
Moore knew he couldn’t touch Summer–not yet. But he could hurt someone else. Someone she loved. He
slipped away toward the east wing of the pack house, where Felix was being held. Two guards stood
outside the reinforced door, but they knew him–he was Suzanna’s son, after all.
“I brought food for the prisoner,” he lied smoothly, holding up a small paper bag. “Alpha Foster sent me.”
The guards exchanged glances before the taller one shrugged. “Make it quick. Alpha doesn’t want anyone spending time with him.”
Moore smiled innocently. “I’ll just drop it off.”
The moment he stepped inside, his eyes swept across the room–and jealousy hit him like a punch in the
gut.
It wasn’t a prison. Not really.
The floors were carpeted in soft wool. There were shelves lined with books, a gaming console hooked up to a flat–screen TV, and a collection of expensive toys stacked neatly in a corner. Felix even had his own private bathroom.
Moore’s lips curled. He thought of the room he’d been moved to after his mother’s fall from grace–an

Omega’s quarters. Cramped. Cold. Humbling.
And yet this one–eyed brat lived in luxury?
Moore stepped closer, his tone deliberately casual and mocking.”Obviously, I came to see how pathetic you look. Thought I’d get a laugh out of it.”
He grinned cruelly.“You really think Alpha Foster brought you back to make things right? To make up for what happened? No, kid. He brought you here to rot. And no one’s coming to save you.”
Felix’s eye widened before he could control his reaction. “You’re lying.”
“My mother will come for me,” he said, calm and unwavering. “And when she does, she’ll burn this whole pack to the ground. Alpha Alexander too.”
Moore let out a cruel laugh.“Your mommy’s not coming,” he sneered. “Your mother’s nothing but a used- up whore. That’s what my mom says. She spread her legs for Alpha Alexander the second she left here. Everyone knows it. Once a slut, always a slut.”
Felix’s face hardened. He stood up slowly, walked right up to Moore–and spat in his face.
The glob of saliva hit Moore square on the cheek and slid down slowly.“Don’t you dare insult my mother.”
For a moment, Moore just stood there, stunned.
Then he wiped the spit away with the back of his hand. The rage that surged inside him was white–hot. His vision blurred.
He drew back his fist and slammed it into Felix’s stomach. The younger boy doubled over, coughing, but
didn’t cry out.
“Fucking bitch couldn’t even keep her legs closed,” Moore hissed, driving another punch into Felix’s ribs. And you? You’re a one–eyed freak nobody wants!”
He kept hitting him–over and over–until Felix collapsed onto his knees, blood dripping from a cut on his
lip.
But still, Felix looked up at him, eye burning with defiance.
“The saddest person here… is you,” he whispered, voice shaking but proud.
Then he went completely still.
Moore froze.
Felix had passed out.
A cold wave of panic washed over him.

Shit.
He stumbled back, heart pounding, and bolted from the room.

Elsewhere in the pack house, Alpha Foster pounded into Suzanna with punishing force. After Summer’s rejection–the locked bathroom door, her refusal to even speak to him–he needed release. And Suzanna was always eager to please. He took her from behind.
“Alpha,” she moaned beneath him, arching her back as he thrust deep inside her. The bed creaked rhythmically as his powerful body drove into hers with increasing intensity.
Alpha Foster grabbed her hair, yanking her head back as he bit down on her shoulder–not the mating
bite, never that, but hard enough to make her whimper in that mixture of pain and pleasure he knew she
craved. Her skin was slick with sweat, her breasts bouncing with each powerful thrust.
“Tighter,” he commanded, slapping her ass hard enough to leave a handprint. “You’re not gripping me
tight enough.”
Suzanna’s inner walls clenched around his thick length, desperate to please him. “Like this, Alpha? Is
this what you need?”
Alpha Foster closed his eyes, imagining it was Summer beneath him instead. Summer’s tight heat squeezing him. Summer’s silky hair wrapped around his fist. Summer’s voice calling his name. The
fantasy drove him closer to the edge, his thrusts becoming more frantic, more punishing.
“You’re mine,” he growled, digging his fingers into Suzanna’s hips hard enough to bruise. “Say it.”
“I’m yours,” Suzanna gasped, her inner muscles contracting around him as her own pleasure built. Always yours. Only yours. Please, Alpha!”
”
He flipped her onto her back without withdrawing, hooking her legs over his shoulders to penetrate even deeper. Suzanna’s eyes rolled back, her breath coming in short, desperate gasps as he hammered into her, the headboard slamming against the wall with each powerful thrust.
Just as Alpha Foster approached his climax, a sharp knock came at the bedroom door.
“This better be fucking important,” Alpha Foster snarled, not bothering to stop or slow his punishing
rhythm.
“Alpha, urgent news,” Beta Sean’s voice called through the door, tension evident even without seeing his face.
Alpha Foster cursed but kept thrusting, determined to finish. “Talk.”
Sean cleared his throat awkwardly. “Alpha Alexander is at our gates. With what looks like half his pack.”

Alpha Foster’s pleasure evaporated instantly. “What?” He pulled out of Suzanna abruptly, leaving her whimpering and unfulfilled.
“He’s demanding to speak with you,” Sean continued through the door. “Says it’s about Summer and Felix.
Alpha Foster grabbed his pants, mind racing. This was too soon–he’d expected Alexander to wait, to plan, to negotiate. Not to show up mere hours after Summer had arrived.
“Tell him I’ll meet him,” Alpha Foster said, hastily dressing. “And get word to the lodge. Double the guard
on the boy.”
“Yes, Alpha,” Sean acknowledged.
“And Sean?” Alpha Foster called as he buckled his belt. “If Alexander so much as steps a foot over our boundary line without permission, kill him.”
