The nurse stared at Ralph in shock, reminding him, “Mr. Walker, this child was conceived from sperm you froze eight years ago! Besides, Miss Karen has a thin uterine lining. If she miscarries now, she may never conceive again!”
Karen looked even more terrified than the nurse.
She lifted her eyes to meet Ralph’s gaze. “Ralph… this baby is yours…”
Ralph’s eyes dropped to Karen’s abdomen before he suddenly chuckled, low and dark.
He’d built an empire and craved an heir-someone to inherit his genes, his fortune, his legacy!

Ralph’s command sliced through the room like ice.
The nurse froze. The delinquent girls on the floor gaped. Karen snapped.
She ripped out her IV line, stumbled off the bed, and clutched Ralph’s legs. “Ralph, this is your child! You can’t do this! If you end it, I’ll never conceive again-I’ll be ruined! I swear I’ 11 take supplements, stay hospitalized, quit smoking, cut ties with those friends-”
Ignoring her, Ralph turned to the nurse. “Terminate. Now. Or this private hospital shuts down by dawn.”
The nurse trembled. “Mr. Walker, please-I’ll consult the director-”
In a flash, Karen snatched a fruit knife and pressed it to her wrist. Her once-innocent face contorted into a grotesque mask as she shrieked, “No one touches my baby! If you dare, I’ll expose you! The CEO of Walker Group is a murderer!”
Silent, Ralph dialed his phone.
Within minutes, five bodyguards stormed in. They wrestled the blade from Karen’s bleeding wrist and pinned her to the bed.
“Prep the OR!”
Ralph’s icy order sent Karen crying and screaming toward surgery.
Outside, he added one final directive to the hospital director: “Keep that lunatic institutionalized. Permanently.”
The person in charge nodded: “Understood!”
