We both groaned at the perfect friction as I began to ride him, water splashing around us with each movement. His hands gripped my hips, guiding my pace as I rose and fell on his cock.
“F**k, Summer,” he growled, watching where our bodies joined. “The sight of you taking me like this…”
I leaned forward, capturing his mouth in a desperate kiss, our tongues battling for dominance. One of his
hands moved to the small of my back, supporting me as he thrust upward, hitting that spot deep inside
me that made stars explode behind my eyelids.
“Right there,” I panted against his mouth. “God, don’t stop.”
“Never,” he promised, his rhythm increasing as he drove into me with perfect precision. “Come for me, Luna. Let me feel you.”
The use of my title–Luna, his mate, his queen–pushed me over the edge. I threw my head back, crying
out his name as waves of pleasure crashed through me. My inner walls clamped down on him, pulsing
rhythmically as my orgasm tore through me.
“That’s it,” he encouraged, his voice strained as he fought his own release. “So F**king perfect.”
Before I could recover, he stood suddenly, lifting me with him. Water cascaded off our bodies as he
stepped out of the tub, still buried deep inside me. With three long strides, he had me pressed against the
cold tile wall, the contrast of temperatures making me gasp.
“I’m not done with you yet,” he growled, hitching my legs higher around his waist. “Not even close.”
He withdrew almost completely before slamming back into me with enough force to make the breath
leave my lungs. My nails dug into his shoulders as he set a punishing pace, each thrust deeper and
harder than the last.
“Alexander!” I cried, feeling another orgasm building impossibly fast. “I’m going to-”
“Come again for me,” he demanded, his hand snaking between our bodies to circle my clit. “I want to feel
you squeeze my cock when you come.”
His crude words pushed me over the edge again, my second orgasm even more intense than the first. This time, he joined me, his rhythm faltering as he buried himself to the hilt and roared his release. I felt him pulsing inside me, filling me with his seed, the mate bond between us singing with completion.
For several long moments, we stayed locked together, our foreheads pressed against each other as we fought to catch our breath. Alexander’s eyes, normally steely gray, had softened to the color of a summer
storm.
“I love you,” he murmured against my hair, the words so quiet I almost missed them.

I pulled back slightly to look into his eyes, seeing nothing but sincere devotion there. No manipulation, no agenda–just pure, honest emotion.
“I love you too,” I whispered, surprised by how easily the words came. With Foster, I’d had to force them
out, trying to convince myself as much as him. With Alexander, they flowed naturally, like a truth my
heart had always known.
He smiled, a brilliant, boyish grin that transformed his usually serious face. “My Luna,” he said proudly,
brushing wet strands of hair from my face.
“Your Luna,” I agreed, feeling Coral’s approval rumbling through me.
As we eventually separated, Alexander insisted on washing me himself, his hands gentle as they soaped
every inch of my body. The intimacy of being cared for in this way brought tears to my eyes.
“Why are you crying?” he asked softly, wiping away a stray tear with his thumb.
“Because I never knew it could be like this,” I admitted. “That I could feel so… cherished.”
His expression darkened momentarily, and I knew he was thinking of Foster and all the ways my ex-
husband had failed me. But then his features softened again, and he pressed a tender kiss to my forehead.
“Get used to it,” he said simply. “Because I plan to cherish you every day for the rest of our lives.”
As we finally emerged from the bath, wrapped in plush towels, I felt something I hadn’t experienced in
years–true peace.
In Alexander’s arms. In his pack. As his mate and Luna.
And for the first time since Felix was taken from me, I allowed myself to believe that everything might
actually be okay.
Chapter 123
Alexander’s POV
The early morning sunlight filtered through the curtains as I slipped out of bed, careful not to disturb Summer. She looked so peaceful curled up in our sheets, her hair spilled across my pillow.
My mate. My Luna.
Just the sight of her made heat stir low in my body. I was already hard again, aching to touch her, to lose myself in her warmth all over again.
But there were things I needed to take care of–business that couldn’t wait.
And if I stayed a moment longer, I knew I’d end up crawling back into bed and spend the entire morning making her cry out my name.
Still, I couldn’t leave without one last taste.
Leaning down, I pressed a gentle kiss to her temple, breathing in her scent–honey and wildflowers, now laced with the unmistakable hint of me. Ours.
Reluctantly, I dressed in silence, every movement careful not to disturb her rest.
Beta Ethan was already waiting for me in my office when I arrived.
“Ethan, I need you to investigate yesterday’s attack thoroughly. Find out if Foster was behind it.”
“You think he’s retaliating because you claimed Summer?” Ethan’s voice was sharp with concern.
“It’s possible. He’s never handled losing well.” I ran a hand through my hair.
“I’ll get our best trackers on it immediately,” Ethan promised. “We’ll find out who organized the ambush.”
“Good. Report directly to me, no matter what you find.”
After ending the call, I dialed another number–one not saved in my contacts. The line connected after three rings.
“It’s done,” a gruff voice answered without preamble,
“You’re certain?” I pressed.
“One hundred percent. Natalia Thompson won’t be causing any more problems. The evidence has been planted exactly as requested. Her reputation is destroyed, just like she tried to do to your Luna.”
I felt a cold satisfaction settle in my chest. “The payment will be transferred within the hour.”
*Pleasure doing business with you, Alpha.”
