On the first floor of the banquet hall, Max’s assistant walked toward Juliette. Along the way, many people greeted him.
The identity of the president of Sphere Corporation had always been a mystery. The only perso
they could interact with was Caleb.
“Good evening. Mr. Caleb,”
“Good evening. Caleb Johnson nodded politely. Soon, he reached the women who were arguing.
Gavin saw this and instinctively wanted to go over and check it out.
No matter what, he had known Juliette. This time, it was clearly Celine who provoked her first. But just as he was about to step forward, Vivienne grabbed him.
“Gavin, Mr. Caleb is someone the president of Sphere Corporation heavily relies on. What if we offend him and he targets us?”
“But Juliene-” Gavin frowned.
Juliette’s smart. She’ll figure out a way. At worst, she’ll be kicked out. But if we make an enemy out of Mr. Caleb because of this, it’s not worth it!” Vivienne persuaded him.
Gavin thought for a moment and eventually stayed put. She did deserve a lesson… Dressing like that, she’s clearly trying to seduce men!
Celine, seeing Caleb, was a bit nervous but mostly delighted. Mr. Caleb must’ve come to support me. After all, compared to a girl who isn’t even valued by her own family, the Browne family clearly weighed more.
Juliette figured it was probably her background that brought trouble.
She stepped forward and said, “Sorry to trouble you. I’ll leave right away, but my friend is
innocent.”

your friend having a good time running your mouths earlier? Get on your knees and crawl out, and I might consider not holding you accountable!” She crossed her arms and tilted her chin up smugly.
“Ms. Celine. I think you’re mistaken. Isn’t it you who should be leaving? Causing a scene at a formal banquet… So this is the Browne family’s upbringing?” Caleb adjusted his gold–rimmed glasses and looked at her coldly.
Celine froze, and she was stunned. She pointed at herself in disbelief. “Mr. Caleb, are you sure you’re not mistaken?”
“Utterly foolish. You cause trouble and still think I’m mistaken? Throw all three of them out,” Caleb ordered.
Soon, security arrived and dragged Celine and her two companions out.
“The troublemakers are gone. The banquet shall continue,” Caleb announced to the crowd.
Juliette and Cassie exchanged a confused glance. Neither of them knew Mr. Caleb, so why would he be so kind as to help them?
“Mr. Caleb, thank you for what you did just now,” Juliette said politely.
“You’re welcome. I hope you enjoy the rest of the banquet, and don’t let what just happened ruin your mood.” Caleb nodded slightly.
Despite being just 30, Caleb had already made it to the role of the president’s assistant. He didn’t rely solely on cleverness but also had a level of emotional inteligence far beyond the average. Maybe Max himself hadn’t noticed, but Caleb could sense that Max viewed this woman differently. At the very least, she was the only one in all these years who could get close to him. Wait, there had been another three years ago, but that woman was still a mystery to this day.
So, until the two of them officially parted ways, Caleb would remain respectful. Who knows, this woman might really become the president’s wife someday.
This scene also shocked Vivienne. What does Juliette have that deserved this kind of courtesy from someone as discerning as Caleb?
Her eyes darted around, and she said, “Juliette is really something. Fresh out of prison and already connected with someone as important as Mr. Caleb. I guess I’m just not capable enough. I don’t have the social skills to help you or my parents.”
Gavin’s forehead veins bulged in anger. He spoke coldly. “What else could she be using to get close to a man? That body of hers, obviously! She hasn’t changed one bit!”

But what Gavin couldn’t understand was, if she was willing to seduce anyone and sleep with anyone, why not him? He could give her money, so why wouldn’t she even glance at him? His eyes had been on her the whole night, and he could clearly feel that the pair of glimmering eyes that used to always follow him didn’t linger on him for even a second tonight.
After Caleb left, Cassie finally relaxed. She held Juliette’s hand and pointed toward the second floor.
Jules, I saw Mr. Caleb go upstairs just now. Do you think the president of Sphere Corporation is up there too?”

“What if we get caught? Won’t that be trouble?” Juliette looked up at the second floor.
“Mr. Caleb seems like a nice person. Besides, no one said we couldn’t go upstairs. We’ll just pretend we’re exploring. If we happen to run into the president, that’d be amazing!”
“Alright, Juliette agreed. They weren’t here just for the banquet anyway. The main goal was to get an interview with the president of Sphere Corporation.

As the dance began, Gavin was dragged into the ballroom by Vivienne. When he turned around, he realized Juliette was gone.
Cassie pulled Juliette along, the two of them darting through the dimly lit second–floor corridor like runaway princesses.
“Why are all these doors locked?”
“This place is strict. There’s even security patrolling. We have to be careful,” Cassie whispered.
“Yeah.” Juliette saw a door on the right and tried the handle.
The door opened a small crack. Juliette pulled Cassie inside.
The room was luxuriously decorated in a romantic French style, full of elegance and sophistication. In the center of the suite stood a man in a black suit with his back to them. Even from belund, he exuded a commanding presence that made people want to surrender.
