Though Benjamin trusted Lily and was willing to protect her despite potential stock impact, Lily didn’t want to burden him. She resigned voluntarily and took full responsibility for the plagiarism allegations.
While packing her design materials, colleagues watched with reluctance.
They firmly believed Lily was incapable of plagiarism—her talent made it
unnecessary.
Benjamin returned from the board meeting to find Lily packing and rushed to intervene.
“I’ll explain to the board. You’re the victim here–bearing this blame could ruin your career.”
Lily appreciated his defense but refused to drag him down.
As the heir of the Lee Group, Benjamin had faced repeated board interrogations, working late nights to manage the fallout.
“Thank you, Benjamin. I’ve saved enough to take a break.”
Despite his attempts to dissuade her, Lily remained resolute.
“Rest for now. When this blows over, I’ll reinstate you.”
Seeing Lily’s exhausted look, Benjamin agreed she needed respite.

Gazing at the scenery while dining, Lily felt her spirits lift.
Just as she remarked on the empty venue, Benjamin knelt on one knee, holding flowers and a jewelry box.
“Lily, I love you. Will you be with me?”
He opened the box, revealing a diamond bracelet.
“I designed this for you. Please don’t say no?”
Through their time together, Lily had grown to accept Benjamin. Her amnesia felt like a chance to shed past burdens and start anew.
Taking the flowers, she whispered:
“Okay.”
Stunned by her acceptance, Benjamin froze until Lily prompted: “Aren’t you putting it on?”
Fumbling with the bracelet, he gently clasped it around her wrist, then tremblingly kissed the scar on her forearm.
“I, Benjamin, swear to love Lily forever.”
Returning home, Lily felt dizzy. The bracelet glimmered–the ghost of his trembling kiss still lingering on her skin.
