Chapter 11
“Adrian! Adrian!”
It wasn’t until Seraphina called his name twice that Adrian snapped back to attention.
“What?”
Seraphina said angrily: “What’s wrong with you today? Why do you keep spacing out?”
Faced with Seraphina’s accusation, Adrian couldn’t answer–this amusement park was one he’d been to with Violet before, and seeing familiar places made him think of her.
Seeing Adrian’s silence, Seraphina got even angrier.
Adrian quickly tried to comfort her: “Sorry. Didn’t you want to ride the carousel? I’ll go with you.”
Hearing that Adrian would ride the carousel with her, Seraphina immediately brightened up.
Seraphina even put a childish cartoon headband on Adrian, and he didn’t refuse.
The carousel offered photo services, and Seraphina paid extra just to get more pictures taken.
Adrian sat on the carousel like he was being tortured, his whole body tense. The moment it ended, Seraphina dragged him over to look at
photos.
On a wall full of tourist photos, Adrian spotted one of him and Violet.
It must have been taken by staff when he and Violet came here, though who hung it on the wall was obvious.
“Adrian, the staff said that’s the couples‘ photo wall over there. Let’s hang ours up too.”
Adrian tried to stop Seraphina, but she was already walking over. He hurried after her.
Too late–Seraphina had already ripped down the photo of Adrian and Violet, demanding angrily:
“So you’ve been spacing out all day because you’re thinking about Violet!”
Adrian’s lips moved as if to explain, but he said nothing.
This silent response was basically an admission.
Seraphina angrily tore up the photo and threw it in a nearby trash can, then turned and stormed off.
The date ended badly.
Adrian picked up the photo fragments from the ground, only to find a writing on the back,
Adrian recognized Violet’s handwriting–only three words remained on the fragments: “Violet loves Adrian.”
Adrian stared at the photo, lost in thought. After a long hesitation, he put the fragments in his pocket.
Back home, Seraphina smashed everything in the living room to vent her anger.
She checked her phone expecting to see Adrian’s apology, but there was nothing.
Seraphina threw her phone on the floor in a rage.
For several days, Adrian didn’t come to apologize or even text her.

Chapter 11
Faced with Adrian’s coldness, Seraphina was angry but swallowed her pride first.
“Adrian, I was too impulsive that day.” Seraphina came to Adrian’s office, tugging his sleeve coquettishly.
It was Adrian’s fault to begin with, and now that Seraphina was apologizing first, he couldn’t say much more.
“Want to have dinner together tonight?” Adrian offered her a way out.
Seraphina didn’t play hard to get: “Adrian, let’s not fight anymore, okay?”
Adrian replied flatly: “Mm.”
The appointment was for seven, but since the experiment finished early, Adrian left to pick up Seraphina for dinner. But just as he reached the door, he heard Seraphina talking with a friend inside.
“Did you really get that Violet chick to leave?”
Seraphina laughed mockingly: “Some uneducated woman living off odd jobs–not hard to deal with. But she was pretty devoted to Adrian. I just threatened her with what happened before and she actually left on her own.”
“Does Adrian know you worked with his half–brother to set him up?”
