Chapter 14
Seraphina panicked, losing her usual arrogance: “Adrian, I was wrong.”
“You can’t turn in that USB drive. I’m begging you–I can apologize to Violet, do whatever you want me to do.”
She was crying, grabbing Adrian’s sleeve and pleading.
But Adrian didn’t spare her an ounce of pity.
“Seraphina, you forced me into this.”
He shoved Seraphina to the ground and walked out without hesitation.
Adrian didn’t turn in the USB drive, but it became a knife hanging over Seraphina’s head.
That day, Seraphina looked at the pregnancy test showing three weeks and smiled smugly.
She took the test results and cornered Adrian at his front door.
“Adrian, I’m pregnant.”
Seraphina handed Adrian the test, one hand stroking her still–flat belly.
Adrian looked at the pregnancy test, then at Seraphina, his eyes darkening.
“Let’s just pretend none of that other stuff happened. We only have one child in our family–after we get married, my parents will do everything
to support you.”
“Let’s get back together, okay? Do you want to feel our baby?”
She grabbed his hand, trying to put it on her belly. Seeing Adrian not resist, she felt more confident.
But her relief quickly vanished.
Adrian gripped her wrist, saying coldly in her ear: “I won’t let you keep this bastard.”
As soon as he finished speaking, a bodyguard came over and grabbed Seraphina.
“Adrian! You can’t do this to me! This is your child too!”
Seraphina cried hysterically, but Adrian was unmoved: “My children will only be born by Violet. What’s in your belly is just a piece of rotten
meat.”
With that, he had the bodyguard take Seraphina to the hospital for an abortion.
Seraphina’s pleading and struggling were useless. In the end, she could only lie on the cold operating table, watching her last hope disappear.
This completely enraged Adrian. He turned in the USB drive without hesitation.
The next day, at the Vale house.
“Why isn’t Seraphina answering her phone? She’s not at school either. Call Adrian–maybe she’s with him?”
Hearing Mrs. Vale’s words, Mr. Vale felt uneasy too.
He picked up the phone to call Adrian, but before it connected, the Vale family’s door burst open.

Chapter 14
Seeing who walked in, Mr. Vale panicked instantly.
“Theodore Vale, you’re coming with us.”
By the time Seraphina was released a few days later, Theodore Vale’s embezzlement and abuse of power case had already been investigated.
Looking at her mother, whose hair had gone white in just a few days, Seraphina felt endless regret.
Looking at herself in the mirror–haggard and looking ten years older–her eyes no longer held love, only pure hatred.
“Adrian, I won’t let you get away with this.”
She sat in her car, staring deadly at the elevator, waiting for Adrian to come out.
The moment his figure appeared, Seraphina didn’t hesitate–she floored the gas pedal and drove straight at him.
The screech of tires echoed in the parking garage. Adrian sensed danger and looked toward the car, meeting Seraphina’s venomous eyes in the
driver’s seat.
“Adrian, this is all YOUR fault! Go to HELL!”
A massive crash echoed through the garage. Adrian collapsed in agony, clutching his leg. Seraphina’s car had hit a pillar and she was unconscious inside.
When Adrian woke up again, his right leg was in excruciating pain.
His assistant, who’d been waiting beside him, immediately came over: “Professor Montgomery, your leg is fractured. The doctor said you need to rest after surgery.”
“What about that crazy bitch Seraphina?”
“Hit her head, she’s unconscious in another room.”
The assistant continued: “There’s something else–Theodore Vale killed himself in prison. When his wife found out, she followed him.”
