Rebirth of the Dismembered Heiress
Chapter 25 When the Real Boss Arrived
The group of thugs charged forward, and Simon froze in terror.
Evelyn shoved him aside and grabbed a beer bottle off the table, swinging it into the fray.
Bang! Crash! Smack!
The sounds of chaos filled the room, and Simon stood dumbfounded, having trouble registering what he was seeing.

Evelyn took them down one after another, each strike leaving another man sprawled on the floor. Even Ethan doubled over after she kicked him hard in the chest, nearly coughing up blood.
Mad Dog wiped the blood off his face, snarling. “Die, you f*cking b*tch!”
With that, he whipped out a dagger and lunged at her.
Simon’s eyes went wide–he wanted to shout a warning, but it was already too late. Just as the blade closed within a breath of Evelyn, she struck, knocking the knife from his hand. A sharp kick sent Mad Dog crashing into the wall before he crumpled to the ground with a groan.
The whole room echoed with cries of pain.
Holy sh*t. My sister’s so impressive! Simon rubbed his eyes in disbelief.
Mad Dog and Ethan shrank back, fear written all over them. Mad Dog staggered to his feet, clutching the wall for support. “You… you-”
Smash!
Another bottle flew across the room, exploding against his skull. Dizzy, Mad Dog collapsed back onto the floor.
“Mad Dog! Mad Dog!” Ethan scrambled over, clutching his sleeve. “Call Mr. Bishop! Have him deal with her!”
Mr. Bishop? Evelyn narrowed her eyes.
Ethan shoved a phone at him, and Mad Dog hurriedly dialed. “Hello, Mr. Bishop, it’s me, Mad Dog. I’ve run into trouble I can’t handle. Please, come save me. I’ll repay you with my life!”
At that, Simon’s stomach sank. He grabbed Evelyn’s arm in panic. “This is bad. Let’s stop here. They’re calling Mr. Bishop. He’s no joke–Mad Dog’s nothing compared to him. People say he kills without blinking, cruel to the bone. We can’t fight someone like that…”

Seeing Simon’s fear, Ethan and Mad Dog puffed up with false confidence.
“Now you know the price of crossing me,” Mad Dog sneered. “When Mr. Bishop gets here, he’ll skin you alive. If you’ve got guts, don’t run–wait right here!”
Evelyn picked up an apple from the table and hurled it straight into Mad Dog’s mouth, silencing him.
“So noisy,” she muttered, then yanked a thug off the couch and sat down in his place, scrolling casually through her phone as though nothing had happened.
Simon nearly tore his hair out. “Evelyn, let’s go! If Mr. Bishop shows up, we’re dead!”
Meanwhile, Mad Dog clawed the apple out of his mouth, spitting blood and broken teeth. What strength… He dared not make another sound, terrified she’d throw something else at him.
Half an hour later, the man himself arrived.
“Mr. Bishop’s here!” Ethan cried, trembling with excitement. Even though he had never seen the legendary figure before, this day, by chance, he finally would.
Mad Dog staggered forward, clutching his stomach. “Mr. Bishop, thank God
you came!”
Altair Bishop swept his gaze across the wrecked room, his expression calm but his eyes sharp. What a mess.
Then he spotted Evelyn, and surprise flickered across his face. She, on the other hand, only gave him a cool glance in return.
“What happened?” Altair asked.
“Mr. Bishop, it was this woman! She stirred up trouble and beat our guys bloody!” Mad Dog rushed to explain.
Evelyn’s tone was level. “They picked on my brother. I came to make them pay.”
“Mr. Bishop, she’s too arrogant. You’ve got to put her in her place. She’s got some skills, not easy to handle-”
Smack!
Before he could finish, Altair backhanded Mad Dog across the face. Blood sprayed as Mad Dog staggered, cheek swelling instantly.
“M–Mr. Bishop… Why?” Mad Dog stammered in shock. Why was he the one getting hit?

“Kneel,” Altair ordered coldly.
“Huh?”
“When I say kneel, you kneel! Didn’t you hear me?” Altair’s voice cracked like thunder.
The room went dead silent. Everyone knew–when Altair lost his temper, rivers of blood followed. No one in the underworld dared defy him.
With a loud thud, Mad Dog dropped to his knees, shaking. “Mr. Bishop…”
Altair’s eyes shifted to Simon, who shrank back under the weight of that
gaze.
“My apologies, buddy,” Altair said with a deferential smile. “Was it these fools who bullied you? They’re all here now. Go ahead–take your revenge.”
Simon blinked in shock, at a total loss for words.
