Megan had gone through the books in detail.
Howard dropped his gaze to the floor. She had seemingly fulfilled every promise she made.
The sanatorium was close to Acreport Hospital.
Was Megan at the hospital? Should Howard go to see her?
Noon rolled around in Acreport Hospital.
Selena informed Megan that Helen hadn’t replied yet. She would be heading over to pay her a visit during the lunch break. As a result, Shaun was entrusted with bringing Megan lunch.
Megan had been transferred from the ICU to a single hospital room.
“Don’t worry. Your information is only accessible to those who have the required clearance. Any journalists will have a hard time getting ahold of your medical records. My dad’s the president of the hospital. You won’t have to worry about a small issue like this.”
This was what Selena had told Megan.
“Celestial Voice” was edited swiftly. They’d just filmed it the day before, but the edited version was already uploaded the next afternoon.
When Shaun came over with lunch, Megan was watching the television.
She wanted to see how “Yesterday Revisited” would do in the edited version. Disappointingly, it was almost the same as the version broadcast live.
It looked like Jimmy hadn’t managed to deal with Brandon in time.
In addition, she also caught sight of some revolting scenes. While she was singing, the show cut to Alyssa’s reaction as a judge backstage.
With teary eyes, Alyssa praised, “Amazing. She’s a great storyteller who made me recall some of my past memories.”
Even though her eyes were red, she put on a brave front as she described what happened before she got famous.
“Back then, Alyssa’s Floral Studio hadn’t reached its current scale, and I was just a small florist who took on odd jobs everywhere. When I saw Larson Group calling for tenders regarding their interior landscaping, I gathered the courage to tender a proposal.
“I didn’t think I would win. After all, the other tenderers were much more established. I just wanted to gain some exposure.

“Luckily for me, the project was divided into multiple smaller parts, and I managed to secure one where I provided flowers for the CEO’s office and his secretariat. Because of this, I met Mr. Larson in person.”
With a grin, Alyssa commented, “He was more handsome than he seemed on television. This is sort of
our origin story.”
Megan was hit with a bout of nausea while watching it.
They had met much earlier than she thought.
Alyssa was still describing her story with Howard when Shaun reached a hand over to grab the remote control and switch channels.
Looking up, Megan saw him shaking the remote control at her with a smile.
“Why are you looking at her? Why don’t you look at me instead?” he joked.
While Shaun was dependable at work, he was a mischievous, haughty man in private.
Megan rolled her eyes. “Why would I look at you?”
Shaun raised the lunchbox he was holding. “Look at the food I have.”
He pretended to sniff at it before exclaiming, “It smells amazing!”
Megan couldn’t help but giggle.
As they spoke, an Aston Martin rolled to a stop in the parking lot of Acreport Hospital. Howard got out and looked up at the door to the inpatient care.
