When I called him Dad, every eye in the hall locked ones.
For a moment there was only silence, then mars began to ripple through the crowd.
“Did she just call him Dad?”
“You’re kidding He came in a helicopter! What kind of family is this?”

The words had barely let my mouth when a female collegue in the crowd shrieked
