Chapter 5
“Honey, it’s this bitch! Come help me deal with her!”
Clara dragged Adrian toward me-but he was shaking uncontrollably.
“Honey, what’s wrong? PUNISH HER!”
My eyes burned into Adrian.
“Heard you have a second family now?”
Clara froze, gripping Adrian’s hand tighter.
‘Honey, what does this whore mean? Are you cheating on me? Don’t you want me and our son anymore?”
Adrian glanced at me, then seemed to steel himself as he pulled Clara closer.
‘What are you talking about? I don’t even know this woman!”
I watched Adrian’s pathetic act and let out a cold laugh.
‘Adrian, living off me for so long you forget who really owns you?”
Adrian’s face darkened.
Watch your mouth!”
He rushed over, kneeling before me, his eyes pleading.
Honey, stop making a scene. I’ll explain everything at home, please. Clara’s carrying my child-she can’t handle tress right now.”
instinctively clutched my belly, my expression turning glacial.
And what about MY child?”
Adrian’s gaze fell on my stomach, as if he were making some monumental decision.
This is all just a misunderstanding. We can have more kids, but Clara’s carrying a son. Once this child is born, he can become the heir to your Sterling fortune.”
Watching Adrian’s greedy expression, I found it almost laughable.
He actually believed my family would hand over billions in assets to some stranger’s bastard.
“Honey, I already checked-you’re carrying a girl anyway. Since you miscarried, we’ll adopt Clara’s son. The kid will still call you mom.”
Adrian was still lost in his fantasy.
CRACK.
I raised my hand and slapped him hard across the face.
“Heir? That BASTARD? You think the Sterlings are pushovers?”
Adrian held his swollen cheek, stunned for a moment, then his face filled with rage.
“You have no choice, but accept this child!”
“You’re the only daughter in the Sterling family. Your family needs a MAN to help you run the empire. Right now, you can only depend on ME.”
Seeing Adrian’s smug confidence, I let out a mocking laugh.
“Adrian, you really overestimate yourself. To the Sterling family, you’re nothing but a trained dog. And when dogs misbehave-they get put down.”
Seeing Adrian take my slap without fighting back, Clara grabbed the taser and stepped forward.
“You little slut! Still trying to seduce my husband? Look at yourself-pathetic! He’d never want trash like you!”
I looked at her and snorted coldly.
“Oh? Then ask Adrian how he BEGGED ON HIS KNEES for me to marry him.”
Clara froze, and Adrian’s face turned completely dark.
“Stop your bullshit. My wife is pregnant-if you upset her and something happens, I won’t let you off easy.”
While helping Clara, Adrian shot me a warning look and whispered threateningly.
“I’ve replaced everyone at the company with my people. Keep your mouth shut or I don’t mind getting myself a new wife.”
