Chapter 117
Chapter 117
Stella hadn’t fully recoveted when Andrew and Fiona called her over,
Seeing the table hall of delicious dishes they had prepared for her, Stalla thought they had finally realized their mistakes.
But after she sat down and had only taken a few bites, Fions suddenly said, “Stella, I need to talk to you about something to know, we’re all really happy that you got into Quentham Liniversity, but honestly, it’s all thanks to Anna.
“if Anna hadn’t given you her body, you wouldn’t have been able to stay up late every night and get such good grades.
“Anna didn’t do well on her exams this time, and she’s been suffering from illness every day It pains your dad and me to see her like this
“So we talked it over, and we’ve decided you two should switch schools, You’ll take on Anna’s identity.
“You’re a good student, so even if it’s just community college, with your hard work, you can get into a university and even go to grad school out the same in the end.

all works
“But Anna can’t do that. For her, this is a rare chance. She doesn’t have the luxury of time–her health just won’t let her wait. Once you both graduats, you can switch back.”
This was something Stella had never imagined her parents would ask of her–not in her wildest dreams.
If they’d said this to her the very first time, maybe she would have believed them. But after all the times they’d made her give in to Anna, in every little thing, she finally saw through their act.
So this time, she refused without a second thought
Fiona kept coaxing her, trying to change her mind.
Stella had always done whatever her parents told her, but this time, she stood her ground. She said, “No way I will never agree to this. No matter what you say, I’m saying no.”
Seeing how stubborn Stella was, Fiona’s face turned cold. She said, “Alright then, Stella. If you’re going to be this stubborn, don’t blame us for what happens next.”
She called out to the servants, “Lock her up. No one is allowed to let her out before she goes to Quentham University to register–unless I say so.”
The servants, already used to following Androw and Fiona’s lead in ignoring Stella, were about to lock her up without a second thought.
It finally hit Stella–if she didn’t get out now, she’d never make it to Quentiham University, not in this lifetime. This time, she was determined prot to give in. So, in a panic, she rushed out of the house.
She had no idea where she ended up. Crying her eyes out, she called Emily, pouring her heart out and asking, “How could my own parents treat me like
this?
Back then, Emily had taken her side and criticized Fiona and Andrew
Stella’s heartfelt warm- -she was touched by Emily’s kindness. But what she never expected was that, right then, she ended up giving away her location…
Thinking about it now, Stella realized that Emily definitely had a hand in her getting targeted by those kidnappers.
Back to reality, Silas was dragged over to the place where the debt collectors were staying
The security guards just tossed Silas over, and the debt collectors were momentarily stunned.
one of the guards said.
“Our boss said since you guys were looking for him, we’d just bring him back to you,” one-

“Your boss? Do you mean Andrew? Man, that guy’s cold,” one of the debt collectors muttered.
“Our boss isn’t Andrew. Don’t worry about who he is. Anyway, we’ve dropped him off, so we’re out,”
silas, already tied up, came to his senses as soon as he was dragged out of the car. He frantically reached out in the guards and pleaded, “Don’tless here. Please, take me with you
“Let me see Stella—I’m her uncle, alter all. She can’t just turn her back on me.”
But the guards, acting on Stella’s orders, completely ignored Silas and walked off without a second glance.
Stella watched from outside as Silas kept begging, but the debt collectors completely ignored him. Suddenly, one of them picked up a knife and, without hesitation, chopped off Silas’s pinky finger.
Silas let out a blood–curdling scream and then passed out from the pain.
The driver’s whole body went tense as he watched the scene unfold. He glanced back at Stella, but she didn’t seem to react at all
The driver thought, “What on earth had she been through, for a girl this young to not show even a hint of fear at something like that??
Stella told the driver to get her out of there.
Three hours later, when Stella got back to the office, her assistant informed her that Fiona was waiting to see her.
Stella had already seen this coming and told her assistant to turn Fiona away.
Fiona kicked up a fuss outside for a while, but in the end, she left–maybe she had something else to take care of
Stella knew Fiona wouldn’t let her off that easily. Sure enough, when she got home, Fiona showed up at her place again.
Just as Fiona was about to slap Stella hard, Jordan caught her wrist just in time.
Jordan said coldly, “Even though you’re her mother, she’s my wife now–she belongs to me. I wouldn’t dare lay a hand on her, so no one else better try.”
His whole presence turned icy, and when he flung Fiona’s hand away, he almost sent her stumbling.
Fiona steadied herself, frozen in shock. When she looked at Jordan, she saw him gazing at Stella with a doting, adoring look in his eyes.
“She didn’t touch you just now, did she?” Jordan asked Stella, concem in his voice.
Stella shook her head.
“No one should ever lay a finger on you. Just look at how beautiful your face is now,” Jordan said, his tone soft and full of section.
Stella’s face turned red with embarrassment, her cheeks flushing shyly
Jordan shot Fiona a frosty look and said, “Stella might’ve let you in, but that doesn’t mean I welcome you here. You barged in wanting to hit her don’t think I won’t have someone give you a taste of your own medicine.”
Fiona had been so worked up earlier that she’d lost it and done something crazy. But now, seeing Jordan and remembering what Emily had said to her before, she suddenly didn’t dare make a move.
Still, she was fuming inside. She said, “Jordan, it’s not like I wanted to hit her, but she’s gone way too far. She had her uncle–my brother–sent off to have his finger chopped off. Tell me, what kind of niece does that to her uncle?”
Jordan sneered, “Oh You’re just glossing over the important parts. How am supposed to know if you’re telling the truth? Maybe you’re hiding something on purpose, I trust Stella unconditionally–if she did something, she must have had a good reason.
Fiona stared at him in disbelief. She asked, “You really don’t know what Stella oid?”

Jordan shot bark, “No, it’s you who doesn’t petit Stella ended up like this because of you. Alt doubt your brother is any kind of good person who knows, maybe he isillied Stella.
“If that’s the case, then she was right to do what she did.”
Fiona was left speechless.
Stella knew Jordan was just acting for Fiona’s sake, but for some reason, he was to convincing she couldn’t help but think he

Stella looked at Fiona and said, “There are some things you might have forgotten, but I never will. I’m not the vengeful type, but you pushed me to thin
point.
“The more I tolerated you, the more you tried to walk all over me. I had no choice but to stand up for myself and defend my rights.
“And besides, if Silas hadn’t gone out there to gamble, do you think I would’ve sent him back to those people?
“And Fiona, why don’t you just admit it—how much money have you secretly given Silas behind Andrew’s back all these years?”
