Chapter 65 Let Me Feed My Kid
Becky said, “I’ll be fine, don’t worry about me. If you need anything when you get there, just call.”
Abigail nodded, visibly moved.
After she left, Becky fed James and gave him a bath.
Then she picked up her phone to request time off from John.

Meanwhile, Xavier returned to Westview Pavilion and saw Henry and Lilian sitting inside. His expression didn’t change.
He took off his suit jacket and handed it to a housekeeper, then walked over and sat on a single armchair.
Henry slammed his teacup onto the coffee–table with a loud clatter, tea spilling everywhere.
“Do you have to go against me on everything?”
Compared to his father’s explosive anger, Xavier remained calm and collected.
“I told you before, I don’t need you interfering in my affairs. Too bad you didn’t listen and took it upon yourselves to act.”
Lilian chimed in, “We’re doing this for your own good. Didn’t you say you liked Yulia? If you do, then marry her.”
Xavier looked straight at her until she couldn’t meet his eyes.
Lilian quickly averted her gaze.
“We made the engagement public, and right after that, you released a statement, denying it. Now everyone in Dracovia thinks the Bolton family’s in turmoil. Your father lost a lot of face out there.”
“That’s your problem, not mine. Let me say it one more time, I don’t need you meddling in my business.”
Henry swept his arm across the table, smashing the entire tea set to the floor. China shattered everywhere.
“You think you’re so grown now? You don’t even respect us anymore?”
Just like that, 280,000 dollars worth of antique porcelain was gone.
Xavier didn’t even blink. “Don’t pull that power trip with me, I’m not buying it. Mutual respect is the only way this works. If you’re trying to control me, you can forget it. You don’t have the leverage.”
Henry’s chest heaved with rage. Worried he might have a heart attack, he stood and stormed off.
Lilian hurried after him.
Xavier undid the top button of his shirt and tugged at the collar on both sides.
His face was ice cold.
None of the housekeepers dared go–near him.
Sharon showed up at Becky’s door with a few bottles of beer and some street food.

Chapter 65 Let Me Feed My Kid:
Becky was in the bathroom, hand–washing James‘ clothes.
With Abigail gone, all the chores fell to her.
When she heard the knock, she dried her hands and opened the door.
Sharon barged in with a grin.
“My godson asleep?”
Becky closed the door behind her. “Knocked out hours ago.”
“Perfect! Drink with me!”
“Give me a second.”
Becky ducked back into the bathroom to finish the laundry.
Sharon followed her in. “Where’s Abigail?”
“Her husband had an accident. She left.”
“What? So what now?”
“I took time off.”
“Guess that’s all you can do.”
Becky’s parents hadn’t retired yet; otherwise, they could’ve helped her out for a while..
She finished the laundry quickly.
Sharon laid out the food.
Becky sat down to eat–she’d been busy since getting home and hadn’t even had dinner.
Sharon had brought buns, so Becky ate one with the braised snacks.
Sharon watched her, tsking. “If I were you, I’d bring Xavier back so I wouldn’t have to work this hard.”
Becky finished eating, then picked up a bottle and clinked it against Sharon’s.

“Can you not bring this up? Seriously, you used to complain about Xavier every day, practically begged me to divorce him. And now you’re pushing me to remarry him? Sis, you flip–flop like crazy.”
Sharon took a sip of beer. “That was then; this is now. You’ve got a kid to raise–I can’t just sit by and watch you wear yourself out.”
“I’m doing okay. Life’s full these days.”
Back when she was alone, she didn’t know what she was working for; life was just about getting through each day.
Now with a child, she wanted to make more money and raise her son right.
With that goal in mind, she didn’t feel tired at all. Every morning, she woke up ready to take on the world.

Sharon couldn’t understand that mindset.
She nudged her friend. “Hey, did you see the statement Xavier put out?”
“What statement?”
Sharon rolled her eyes and pulled it up on her phone.
Becky froze. Why didn’t he say anything last night?
She even congratulated him.
“What kind of fight do you think he had with Yulia? Why else would he post something like that?”

Sharon shrugged. “Who cares? Whatever it was, it works in our favor. I’m telling you, you should invite Xavier over more often–build up that little family vibe. When the time’s right, just reel him back in and get that marriage certificate. Move back to Westview Pavilion with your kid.”
Becky felt a headache coming on. This woman wouldn’t stop pushing her to remarry Xavier.

“If I wanted to go back, I would’ve gone the day I got out of the hospital. But I divorced him for a reason- I’m not going to start waffling now.”
Sharon groaned in frustration. “Why are you being so stubborn? I seriously don’t get you.”
Becky replied, “There’s nothing between me and him anymore. Just drop it.”
Sharon finished her beer and crashed on Becky’s couch for the night.
It was the weekend anyway.
Becky only had one bottle, she had to take care of the baby.
The next morning, Sharon woke up to the smell of food and saw Becky holding James, nursing him.
She sat up with a yawn. “Girl, you’re too diligent.”
