Chapter 52
“Is he my son, Olivia?”
Olivia stared at Ethan, her heart racing in her chest as she heard him utter. She could see so much rage in his eyes afterward, but she stit didn’t respond as the words to his question refused to come out of her lips,
“…1…d…”
He furrowed his brows, eagerly waiting for an answer when suddenly, Olivia’s phone began to ring, causing a distraction between them.
“Where are you? Where the hell did that bastard take you to.” Bryan yelled on the phone, but before Olivia could respond to him, Ethan dragged the cell phone and ended the call,
“I’m not letting you go until you tell me the damn truth! Is Noah my son?” Ethan half yelled again, making Olivia shiver a little bit. He could see fear in her eyes and although Ethan didn’t want to take it to this level, deep down, his heart was aching so much. He had no idea that Noah was his son and when Noah fell sick, he wasn’t there for him
He had missed six good years in his son’s life,
“Yes. But it’s none of your business, Ethan. Noah is my son and not yours.” Olivia responded, “You chose Shirley and your daughter over us seven years ago while I chose to walk away from our marriage after the divorce.”
Ethan’s eyes grew red with rage settling at the base of his eyes,
“There was never any divorce, Olivia. It didn’t go through. Immediately I heard you were gone, I tore the papers apart and searched everywhere for you. I almost went mad knowing you had left my life for good.”
Hearing this, Olivia widened her eyes as she stared at him, “W…what?” She muttered,
“You’re still legally my wife, and we’re still legally married. It doesn’t matter how long we’ve been apart, but you’re still mine, and nothing can ever change that.”
As Ethan took a step closer to Olivia, she took two steps away from him, her heart pounding deeply against her chest as she stared at his big
brown eyes,
“And Noah’s my son too; I’m going to be there for him now and make up for all the years I had missed in his life whether you allow me or not. I won’t let my son be away from me ever again.”
“E…Ethan, p…please stop.” Olivia mumbled still taking
she halted, leaning her back on the wall,
steps backward as he approached her, and when there was nowhere else to move,
“You can’t leave me ‘cause no matter what you do, I’ll try everything to get you back.”
As Ethan raised his hand to touch her face, his eyes fell on Olivia’s trembling lips, and all he could think about was how to devour it.
She might be engaged to Bryan, but he didn’t care. Bryan knew nothing about Olivia, and he certainly didn’t deserve her,
As he leaned closer to her, Olivia tightened her fingers into fists, but when his phone began to ring, she fluttered her brows and turned her head away from Ethan,
Ethan tucked his hand into his pocket and brought out his phone to see that it was Luke calling,
He turned around, and stepped away from her as he answered the call,

Chapter 52
“Sir, I found everything just as you’ve instructed me to.” Ethan heard on
“I’ll be at the hotel soon.”
the phone,
Olivia raised her brows to stare at him and once their eyes locked, he uttered,
“You’re free to go, Olivia; the kids would be worried about you. Let’s talk about this later.” After saying this, Ethan headed towards the door and walked out, shutting the door behind
His grip tightened on the steering wheel for ten seconds until he began to hit it so hard. Ethan questioned himself, how come he hadn’t even known that Noah was his child. It hurt him so much that so many times he had chosen Eva over his son even though Shirley had tricked him
that day.
After five minutes, Ethan started the car and drove away. He got to the hotel, and headed straight for his suit where Luke was waiting for him,
“Sir…”
“What did you find out, Luke?” He questioned, taking his seat on the two–seater couch. Luke stepped forward and instead handed Ethan a file,
He stepped backward afterward.
“That’s everything that I could gather. I’ve requested a more thorough search after this.” He uttered before Ethan began opening the file. His eyes scanned through every piece of information in it until something caught his attention,
“His family died in a car accident?” Ethan questioned as he cocked his head back at Luke, and watched Luke nod his head. He tilted his head back to the file and then scoffed aloud when he saw something else.
Ethan could swear that the name of Bryan’s real father sounded so familiar, but he had no idea how and why it was so.
“Jace.” He muttered inwardly, as that was the name Bryan was born while his parents were still alive, but he had changed his name. As he scanned through the remaining pages, he instantly spotted all the information he needed to know about the foundation that Bryan had been taken into,
Began
had stayed just one year at Hope’s orphanage before he was adopted by a good family,
When there was nothing else on the next page about his adopted family, Ethan tilted his head back at Luke,
“We couldn’t find anything that easily. It was almost as if everything was cleared off and they didn’t even exist. Not even their names or what they looked like.” Luke uttered, but instead, Ethan remained silent as all he could do at the moment was to think,
“Australia. Go to Australia, Luke. If there’s something he’s trying so hard to hide from New York here, there would be absolutely no way he would hide it completely from Australia. Get the names of the couples who adopted Bryan 20 years ago as soon as possible.”
