Part 9 Death and Clanification Part 9 : Death and Clarification Parker Annette was going to keep Belladonna sedated for at least 24 hours ; to help with the healing process , he stood looking down at her .
Shed been through a lot , she had died on that surgical bed after the removal of Freya , and he wondered if those nightmares shed been having were about this very thing ; the removal of Freya from her .
He also wondered if Belladonna understood that Freya was in fact Selenas wolf , and that was why shed never lost a single she wolf or pup in her lifetime , because Freya could simply will them to stay alive .
He didnt know and wondered if Belladonna knew .
There was no mention of Citron Wolves being able to do what she did to save she wolves and their pups .
Though that book on Citron wolves only talked of the fertility of her wolf , and how she was used by others , what if no one realized there was more to her .
Bella had told him she had to stay for Bridgits pregnancy and be there to deliver the pups .
It was likely that with the other use of the Citron wolf being clear , this particular thing could have been overlooked .
Something never noticed about them , due to only selling them on a super moon , one night in certain packs and then them being moving on to the next pack , or returned to the home pack to wait for the next super moon .
This ability to save the lives of she wolves and pups being delivered ; it could have been missed entirely .
He walked from the pack hospital .
It was morning , and he had to go and talk to Whitney and Milly about what had actually gone on , not a task he relished doing , but now that she was out of surgery and stable , it was time .
Theyd not long woken up themselves had slept through everything thankfully .
But he couldnt continue to say nothing , it had been all night , and they knew she was in the hospital , just not the real reason for it .
He knew that both Whit and Milly would want to see her and , likely before breakfast , or come and have breakfast with her .
That was their normal .
Shannon had told him Whit was awake and a bit on the anxious side .
Milly was up and doing okay , but their son thought something was wrong , that Whit kept looking at him .
The boy wasnt so blind to the things that went on around him .
Though he hadnt said anything .
because Milly was right there .
He stepped into the Gamma suite where everyone was and Whit not only looked up at him but at the clothes he was wearing , and then , a little surprisingly , at his neck .
It seemed Whit didnt know what was going on but had his own thoughts on the matter .
From what hed just seen , Part Death and Clarification he thought that maybe he and his mother had marked and mated .
He stated , motioning for him to come out into the hallway .
He saw the boy look at Milly .
Just you for the moment .
He stated quietly , trying not to draw Millys undivided .

She was only four and playing happily with Shannons son right that minute .
She was too young to understand , and he knew how shed become part of their family , and didnt want to stress her out or get scared and feel like she was losing another mother .
He closed the door and even as he turned to look at Whit , the boy asked Mum ? In the pack hospital and fully sedated , Parker stated .
There is more though … something happened to Freya .
He sighed .
I wont lie to you Whitney , youre old enough to understand … Freya is no longer bound to your mother , is in fact gone from her completely .
Selena took her back then ? Whit murmured .
Howd you know that ? Parker asked right back , surprised the boy knew the truth .
I dreamed it … or … maybe not a dream .
Selena spoke to me , told me mum had to be reborn .
I didnt understand that really .
He looked up at Parker .
She is alive ? he asked .
Yes , he nodded .

In the pack hospital , Annette restarted her heart and I gave her blood to help .
Shes in the Luna Medical Suite for now .
He saw it , fear touch his boy at his words , as he learned the truth of the nights events .
That his own mother had actually died and been brought back .
He knelt down and reached out and hugged Whit to him , as he saw tears well up and spill over , and down his sons cheeks Its going to be alright Whit .
He murmured reassuringly as his son cried .
Parker knelt there and let him cry for as long as he needed to .
It was a lot to take in and deal with , why hed not told him last night and let him feel like this , for the length of time it took for the surgery to be completed .
It had been hard enough on himself he couldnt imagine how the boy or Milly would feel about it .
Or try and cope for that long .
Ill take you and Milly down to the pack hospital soon , to see her .
he spoke gently after Whit settled I didnt want Milly to be so scared she reverts back to how she was before becoming your sister … You know her better than I do .

He didnt want Whit to think it was up to him .
Whit just stared at him and then shook his head , as he wiped his tears away .

He murmured .
Parker nodded .
You didnt feel anything though , and neither did Milly ? he asked , didnt want to actively state feel her death .
Do you still feel the same connection right this minute that you normally have to your mother ? he questioned .
Whit nodded at him Its the same .
Alright , Im going to take you both to the hospital to see your mum .
Ill tell Milly shes sleeping at Annettes orders , because shed not been sleeping well .
Annette wants to keep her asleep all day today .
How bad does she look ? Whit asked tentatively .
I wont like to you , she has IVs running and a breathing tube in at the moment , but that I heard will come out before I take you down there .
I can , and Vex can sense that your mother has a beast within her .
She is not wolf less , so the reborn thing … I think that is what she meant ; your mum is about to get a new wolf .
He wasnt going to tell Whit that he suspected their own Goddesss wolf had done to his mother .
Whit nodded , but still looked a bit confused .

I dont understand , not really .

None of us do , maybe your mum can explain it , understands .

Told me , to see what I think about staying here for three solid months .

Hed not known theyd had that conversation .
It was obviously just between the two of them .
Its not in me anymore than it is mum , to let that happen .
I told her it was alright to stay here … She always puts me first .
He sighed .
Because she loves you Whit , wants you to be happy .
Parker nodded .
She never put herself first .
But what if that means shes not happy ? Whit sighed .

I understand that , Parker stated , and unfortunately he did .
Freya had asked Belladonna to stay and if Belladonna understood who Freya actually belonged to , how could she say no ? Her whole life was just her doing what others wanted , not her having a say .
It seemed that a part of her destiny was to never have a say in her own life .
Wolves of Destiny were created for one reason or another by their Goddess and did her will or bidding , he supposed .
So , their lives were never easy or likely their own .
Belladonna was a child of a Wolf of Desitny , maybe one herself that was yet to be fully seen .
Had the bloodline traits of one , was effect by it .
All he could do was give her choices and hope that one day he would be one of those choices she made all by herself .
She knew she could trust him , and he believed that she did trust him , so that was a good start .
Though how she was going to feel when she woke up tomorrow morning was unknown to him .
Her not having Freya in any capacity at all , and that flood of emotions she was still dealing with , could still see her be fully overwhelming for her .
All any of them could do was support her and give her time to adjust to having all those emotions .
She was now going to be able to feel in full force without Freya there at all , something he now understood was why shed never felt anything in her entire life .
Not just the years theyd spent together .
