Chapter 29
“Just stay,” he said again, as we wter this time wing
And just like that, the eleven devas died again, sealing us hade together,
The words “just stay” echoed in my mind, rattling me more than I cared to admit. What did he mean by
Now, he was just inches away, his towering frame making the confines of the elevator feel even smaller, I could practically feel his presence pressing against me.
He had warned me to keep my distance yesterday, looking at me like I was a disease, yet here we were, locked in fais space together. And now, he wanted me to stay? My mind raced as I tried to make sense of his sudden shift is he pulling off his mind game, or am I overthinking everything
Before I could get too lost in my spiraling thoughts, his voice out through the tension, low and rough, like a wrecking Ball against fragile glass,
“You should first give your answer.”
I blinked, startled, “Huh?”
Hades turned his icy blue gaze on me, and my stomach twisted.
“Aeson offered you a transfer to his pack. I presume Calden did too.” His words were measured, but the way his eyes bore into mine made my skin prickle. “The first thing you should do today is to give your answer. That’s why I want you to follow me to Aeson’s office.”
“Oh,” I muttered, feeling suddenly small under his scrutiny.
“You’ve thought it through, haven’t you?” His voice was deceptively calm, but there was an edge to it that made me feel like I was being tested.
“Yes,” I managed to say, though my voice came out weaker than I’d hoped.
“So…” He stepped closer, his eyes pinning me in place. “Which Alpha would you want to be your new Alpha?”
The question hung in the air like a weight pressing down on my chest. His gaze was relentless, searching, as if he could peel back my thoughts just by looking at me. My throat dried up, and for a moment, I couldn’t speak.
“You know…” He tilted his head slightly, his tone softening in a way that felt almost dangerous. “If you don’t want to be a subject of either, you can say so.”
What was that supposed to mean? Was he trying to suggest something, or was I reading too much into it? My thoughts tangled in confusion, but I didn’t dare ask. Instead, I shook my head, hoping to end the conversation.
The elevator doors slid open, revealing the 15th floor.
“Let’s go,” Hades ordered, his voice curt as he stepped out.
I followed him, my feet moving automatically even as my mind raced. Soon, I found myself standing in a room with three Alphas. Again.

Chapter 29
Aeson was the first to speak. “Have you thought about it?” His tone was steady, but there was a flicker of something in his eyes–curiosity, perhaps.
I nodded.
Caiden leaned forward, flashing me an expectant smile. “So, just spill your decision.”
1 swallowed hard, glancing between them. “I want to thank both of you for being kind enough to offer me and my family a place in your packs. Your consideration means a lot.” I paused, noticing the eagerness in their expressions, like I was about to announce something life–changing. “I have decided…”
Their anticipation was almost suffocating. Aeson’s brows seemed to relax slightly, while Caiden’s smile grew wider, his confidence almost tangible.
“…I and my family would like to be the new members of Dead Moon Pack.”
Aeson’s brows lifted, a flicker of relief crossing his face. But Caiden chuckled, his voice rich with amusement.
“No, no. That’s Aeson’s pack, you know.” He took a step closer, his confidence practically radiating from him. “I think you meant to say my pack, right?”
I shook my head, my voice steady this time. “No.”
