Chapter 205: This name, she seems to have heard it somewhere before
(Elena Blackwood’s POV)
“These were all bought for me by Rachel Thompson,” David Blackthorne said, sitting on the accompanying chair with his eyes full of smiles.
“Rachel is a good girl, don’t cause her any trouble. If anything, try to bother me instead. I’m your sister, I won’t say anything to you.”
David was stunned, and thinking of something, he lowered his eyes. “But I can’t always bother you. I know my temperament has always been unstable and immature.”
His voice grew quieter with each word. “My parents say they love me, but they don’t really think highly of me. They think I can only rely on my sister’s mate to rise to prominence and succeed.”
I felt my heart clench at his words. The pain in his voice was unmistakable.
“I’ve been thinking about it these past few days,” David continued, his hands fidgeting with the book cover. “You suffered so much in the Blackwood family, and I didn’t even know about it.”
“I regret that I couldn’t help you when you needed it most,” he said, his voice cracking slightly. “I was just a burden, lying unconscious while you faced everything alone.”
I reached out and placed my hand over his. “David, you need to let go of the past. What matters is that we’re
both here now.”
He looked up at me with grateful eyes. I took a deep breath before asking my next question.
“Do you want to return to the Northern Territory?”
David’s eyes widened in surprise. “What?”
“Our parents‘ house is still there,” I explained gently. “And our uncle’s family won’t cause trouble anymore. I
can arrange for someone to pick you up if you want to go back.” can arrange for someone to pick you
David hesitated, his expression conflicted. “Do you want me to leave because that she–wolf wants me dead?
You don’t want Sophia Rivers to look for me again, do you?”
I couldn’t deny his perceptive observation. “I’m afraid something might happen to you again. I don’t want
Sophia to come looking for you.”
The truth was more complicated than I could explain. Despite Sophia being his biological sister, I knew David would never be able to accept that reality.
David nodded slowly. “I understand, I don’t want to cause you any more trouble either.”
His voice grew wistful. “And I do miss home. I miss the familiar streets and the old neighbors.”
I smiled, feeling relief wash over me. “Then it’s settled.”
After leaving the recovery chamber, I immediately sent a message to Adrian Whitmore. His reply came shortly after: “I’ll have Jacob Hayes go over.”
Sending Jacob to pick up David was a matter of trust. It would prevent anyone from interfering under Adrian’s

At the same time, my phone buzzed with another message. Joyce Harrison was inviting me to the Harrison
family tea garden.
With nothing much to do at the healing institute in the morning, I accepted her invitation. The drive to the Moonstone Tea Gardens took me through winding country roads.
The private garden was breathtaking. Hundreds of acres of tea trees stretched before me, creating a sea of green that rolled across the hillsides.
A white building stood amidst the greenery like a jewel. It was a glass house with light streaming in from all sides, clearly designed for cultivating flowers and plants.
A gardener approached me with a respectful bow. “Luna Elena, Mrs. Harrison is waiting for you in the glass
house.”
He led me along a stone path through the tea plants. The air was fragrant with the scent of fresh leaves and blooming flowers.
The gardener opened the door to reveal an elegant tea area inside. Joyce Harrison was brewing tea at a low table, with two other wealthy she–wolves seated nearby.
“Elena, you’re here,” Joyce said warmly, putting down the delicate teapot.
She gestured to her companions. “This is Dorothea Whitmore’s daughter, also Professor Theodore Ashworth’s apprentice, the surgeon Elena Blackwood.”
I noticed she introduced me by my own merits rather than as “Alpha Marcus’s mate.” The gesture touched me
more than I expected.
I nodded politely to the two she–wolves. Joyce continued with the introductions.
“This is Mrs. Fisher,” she said, indicating the short–haired middle–aged she–wolf. “Her son is also a doctor.”
I was taken aback, immediately thinking of Dr. Edmund Fisher. Could this be his mother?
“And this is Mrs. Lopez,” Joyce added, gesturing to the more plump she–wolf. “Her husband is a colleague of Deputy Minister Harrison, of equal rank.”
Mrs. Fisher studied my face intently. “The resemblance to Dorothea is remarkable.”
Mrs. Lopez nodded enthusiastically. “Such beauty, clearly inherited from her mother. Dorothea was a renowned beauty in Riverside City back in the day.”
I sat down carefully, realizing these she wolves were old acquaintances of my mother. This could be an opportunity to learn more about my family’s past.
Hoping to glean information about Hazel Gree
I listened carefully as the conversation continued.
Mrs. Fisher suddenly looked thoughtful. “Speaking of Dorothea, doesn’t she have a younger sister?” Before Joyce could answer, Mrs. Lopez chimed in eagerly. “You rnean Hazel Green? I’ve met her, she’s in Riverside City!”
My attention sharpened immediately. This was exactly what I needed to hear.
“Unfortunately, she was disfigured in a fire years ago and had plastic surgery,” Mrs. Lopez continued. “She

She leaned forward conspiratorially. “A friend of mine had a nose job and breast augmentation there, and she’s very satisfied with the results.”
Mrs. Fisher looked surprised. “Hazel Green is running a plastic surgery hospital in Riverside City? I remember
she used to be with Fred Xavier.”
Fred Xavier…
I was suddenly stunned. This name, she seems to have heard it somewhere before.
