Three hours went by so quickly, but Olivia was fully and emotionally ready.
She was ready to leave.

There was no need to take anything from this house because even a pin from here would remind her of her home, her marriage, and Ethan so she was going to leave empty–handed.
When a tear splashed on the paper she left on the table, Olivia rose to her feet.
A part of her hoped that Ethan wouldn’t see this letter but another part of her wished that he would see it. That was the part that wanted him to know how much she loved him.
As she stepped out, she began to head towards the stairs. Thankfully, Ethan and Shirley weren’t in the living room and she couldn’t care less where they were.
“Madam, are you leaving?” Olivia heard Mandy’s voice as she got to the living room. She cocked her head back to see tears on the young lady’s face, and she nodded her head,
“I’m leaving for work.”
Mandy wasn’t stupid. Of course, she had seen Ethan and Shirley together when they walked in and she knew her madam was leaving so she nodded her head.
“Sir Ethan stepped out about an hour ago. I’ll inform him about your absence once he arrives.” She uttered,
“Alright, thank you, Mandy. Make sure to be a good girl always and remember everything I taught you about my husband’s favorite meals. There’s a list of how Ethan likes his meals to be prepared and everything he is allergic to as well. Be very careful to avoid shrimp else it might kill him.”
Mandy nodded her head.
She had never seen a wife who was as devoted as Olivia. Her madam had even taken time to make a note of everything Ethan liked and his allergies. That was how much she loved him. She watched Olivia leave and when she was gone, the young lady headed back to the kitchen.
There was no need to take even her favorite car so Olivia headed straight for the gate. The moment she walked out of the mansion, a tear dropped down and she cocked her head backward to look at the home she had spent four years of her life in.
It was over.
She has given up already because there was no need to fight. Shirley had the one thing that Ethan desperately wanted – a
child.
Even though she had that too, Olivia was certain Ethan would still pick Shirley over her because he loved her.
Just like Shirley’s mother had stolen her father away from her mother before she died, the same thing was happening to her. If only she had not listened to her heart and married Ethan.
So many suitors wanted her in the past, even the ones that were ready to lay their world under her feet but she turned them all down when she was asked to marry Ethan.
Like a stigma, that decision would continue to hunt her for the rest of her life.
All Olivia was left with was a baby. A baby she hoped would fill her days with joy but would never remind her about the greatest mistake she had made in life.

“Taxi.”
This was her final decision, and she wasn’t going to turn back. Ethan had rubbed it on her face that he didn’t love her, and so she was going to let go simply because she loved him.
The cab halted,
“Flourish Hotel please.” She told the driver and stepped in. Immediately she got into the car, shut her eyes, and rested her head on the seat,
(Flashback)
“Why did you leave, Mother? Does daddy not love you anymore?”
Her mother smiled at her and gently patted her hair. Then, she lifted Olivia on her thighs to sit,
“They say my darling, if you truly love something or someone, you’re going to let go no matter how much it hurts you and it’s just because you love them and you want them to be happy.”
(End of flashback)
That was what she was doing. Letting go of the man she had always loved so much for many years even if it was hurting her deep down.
“We’re here.”
The voice of the cab driver snapped Olivia out of her thoughts, and she immediately cleaned the tears she didn’t realize had escaped from her eyes.
“Are you alright Miss?” The driver questioned and Olivia immediately nodded her head
“I’m fine, thank you.”
She stepped out of the car and handed the driver 50 dollars from her pocket. The man thanked her and drove away.
Flourish Hotel. Olivia had decided to stay here just for the night and decided where she would be heading to tomorrow. She couldn’t stay in New York. At least if she wanted to forget everything about Ethan, and hide her baby from him, she had to leave New York for someplace far away where she would be able to relive her life.
This time, Olivia made a promise to put herself first and make herself happy.
“Welcome to Flourish Hotel.” The young lady at the counter was so pretty and she almost reminded Olivia of her younger self when she was still a single young lady every man out there wanted.
Olivia let out a smile and brought out her card from her small wallet,
“I’d like an executive room please.” She said and handed the card to the lady. There were two cards in the wallet and one thing Olivia had failed to realize was that the card she had given the young lady wasn’t hers. It was the card Ethan had given her about 6 months ago.”
The lady collected the card and after swiping, she handed it back to Olivia along with a green card that would gain her
access to the room.
“Please kindly sign here.” The lady said.
“May I know your name please?” She asked again, but that question suddenly made Olivia go quiet. She had just divorced Ethan so what was she to say
“Olivia Rowan.”

Chapter 3
She finally responded after a long thought. That wasn’t her father’s name, but her mother’s name. Her father’s name was long dead to her.
“Thank you for your help, Ms, you may go in. Take the elevator to the 7th floor and turn left. You’ll find room 501 there.” She said,
Olivia nodded her head and began to walk away. She got into the elevator and when it got to the 7th, it stopped.
Olivia stepped out and cocked her head sideways. As the lady had said, she turned left and began to walk toward room 501. When she swiped the card at the entrance, a green light appeared and she gained entrance into it.
The first place Olivia ran to was the king–size soft bed in the middle of the huge room and when she laid on it, she shut her eyes for a few seconds.
Olivia tucked her hand into her pocket to get her phone. There was a relative she never told anyone about and since it was the only relative she had, Stella would certainly understand her.
She dialed the number and when the call was answered, a scream was heard from the other side.
“You probably thought I was dead right?”
Olivia chuckled,
“I’m so sorry couz, two years of my life have been so messed up, but I have a little surprise for you. I’ll be taking the first flight to Australia tomorrow, and I’m coming to stay.”
That was far enough.
Australia was far enough from Ethan and from her old life and since Olivia had nothing here in New York, there was no need to come back.
