Chapter 19
“You’re joking!!” Stella yelled as she tapped Olivia’s shoulder in excitement,

“I still think it’s a dream Stella, a big dream at that. You know how much I’ve always wanted this and I just can’t believe it right now.” Olivia responded as tears began to form at the base of her eyes, bringing back old memories of when Bryan had first broken the news to her,
“I can’t believe he would do this for me, Stella, I really can’t.”
“Don’t tell me you’re going to cry, Olivia,” Stella questioned with a chuckle as she watched Olivia rub her eyes gently to get rid of the tears,
“I’ve been doing that since yesterday, Stella. I don’t think any more would drop out.” Olivia responded, making Stella burst out into laughter.
“You deserve everything good, Olivia, and trust me, Bryan is so lucky to have you instead. It’s like both your fates collided together after you both went through the same thing.” Stella reminded, making Olivia think back to how she had met Bryan,
Maybe indeed there was a connection between them from that day, or maybe fate had indeed brought them together,
Bryan had found out about his cheating fiance and she had found out that her husband was expecting a child from his childhood lover, and he had divorced her,
“Does he know?‘ Stella questioned and Olivia immediately drifted away from her little trance about her past,
“Know what?”
“Does he know about the airport? You knew him before he knew you.”
“Does it matter? What if I had not met him again after that day? I guess fate simply wanted me to encounter him again after what he went through that fateful day.”
“I guess so too. What matters is that you both are in love and you’re happy. I’m so glad about you both.” Stella said.
When Olivia heard this, the smile on her face suddenly turned a bit sour even though she tried so hard not to make it noticeable with a fake one. A feeling of guilt washed over her heart, and she let out a deep breath,
Was she happy?
There was no way Olivia would say she didn’t like Bryan, but maybe in her situation, love was a very heavy word to use. She wasn’t in love with him.
The feelings of guilt only turned worse when these thoughts filled her mind. Maybe it was because she had promised herself not to trust another man after Bryan,
Or
Maybe there was another reason behind it. A reason she had continuously denied to herself every day for so many years
“Yes, I’m happy and that’s all that matters,” Olivia responded after a long seconds of silence, and held Stella’s hand,
“That’s why I want you to be there with me, Stella.” she muttered,
“I really would love to be there to kick that bastard ass. I hate the fact that Bryan had no idea who he was and went ahead to sign a deal with him already, but don’t you think it’s also right to tell him everything he needs to know about your past before something goes wrong over there, Olivia?” Stella suggested worriedly, but Olivia shook her head in negation,

“There’s no need for that, Olivia. It’s the past already, and as much as I don’t want to recall it, Ethan Fordham hates me to the bones for destroying whatever he was supposed to have with his first love. Besides, we were secretly married from most of the world for 2 years, so if there are people who knew about the wedding, they certainly are so few.” Olivia responded even though she was also scared about what Stella had said,
“Ethan had no idea that I was a few weeks pregnant, so I could just deny Noah being his son if he came across him, okay.”
Stella nodded her head and let out a deep breath,
It was almost like Olivia had planned everything thoroughly,
“Don’t let that bitch boss you over there, okay? You’re way better than her.”
Olivia chuckled, “You could do that instead Stella.” Olivia responded, but Stella’s smile suddenly faded away,
“I can’t go with you.” There was a pause for a few seconds, “I wish I could be there for this important part of your life, but I can’t and I’m really sorry.” Stella responded as the frown on her face became visible,
“What’s wrong? Olivia questioned as it was really obvious something was wrong with Stella,
“Dave’s parents canceled. Though he said it was because of an urgent meeting, I doubt Olivia. What if they truly do not want to see me? What if they know me and they don’t like me? What if they find out about my family and my mother is a…”
“Shush, don’t say it. You’re different from your mother, Stella and I know that. Don’t think about these absurd thoughts right now, okay, and maybe Dave is right; they might really be busy. Dave loves you so much, Stella, so I see no reason why he would lie to you.”
“Are you certain?”
Olivia nodded her head. It was all just to keep Stella calm at the moment because she could see panic written all over her expression,
“Gives you more time to practice meeting your in–laws.” Olivia chuckled, “And they are going to love you so much, trust you. Anyone who meets you would be completely melted by your kindness and kind heart, Stella, believe me.”
When Stella chuckled back, Olivia pulled her into a warm embrace, “You’ll be fine, I promise. Whatever happens, you have got to tell me no matter what, okay?” Olivia uttered and Stella nodded her head,
A few seconds later, Stella broke the hug, “Now, that’s enough about me, let’s talk about you. Your entry has got to be grand, Olivia, and that’s why you have me. I’m going to show that freaking ex–husband and step bitch of yours who’s boss, and listen to me!” Stella’s voice became stern when she uttered the last words,
“If you have to kiss Bryan, hold his hand, be all over him just to prove a point, then do it. Make that son of a bitch understand that you’re happy and you’ve moved on completely. Do not make them win, okay, because it’s going to be your fucking day.”
Olivia chuckled out loud and nodded her head,
“Now what color of dress would make it scream “happily in love better?‘” Stella questioned staring at Olivia’s body,
“How about Red…” she paused and continued to stare, “And silver or Gold. Green. Oh fuck, I really can’t choose, I want the best for you.”
“Red. If I want to get their attention so desperately and prove a point, then it’s going to be red.” Olivia responded with a smile,
“Better. Hurry, there are only two days left, and there’s so much to pack already. Come on, it’s time to go shopping.”
Stella grabbed Olivia’s arm, and they began to head outside the house. Stella was always this dramatic but to Olivia, she

was perfect. She was someone who loved everything being perfect no matter how hard she had to work to achieve that, and when things weren’t perfect, she always ended up crying.
“I’ll pick Noah up by five.”
“Leave that. I’ll text Bryan to go pick up Noah once it’s 4 pm. For now, let’s focus on making you “The return of the fabulous ex–wife.” Stella uttered and opened the door so Olivia could step into the car.
As Olivia sat down, something crossed her mind and it made her bite her lower lips,
The red gown wasn’t entirely because of what Stella had said earlier. Of course, she also badly wanted to show Ethan that she had moved on completely and that she was happy without him,
But there was a major reason. A reason Olivia had to keep to herself,
She was still very much affected by his likes even after so many years, and because Ethan’s favorite color was red, she had chosen to endow herself in a red dress.
