The woman looked at Zina, puzzled. “You need jewelry?”
“Yours are nicer,” Zina said, pouting.

Seeing Zina act so cute, she quickly waved her hand. “Fine, take them. I can’t resist you when you act like this.”
Even as she said that, her eyes were full of warmth and laughter as she looked at Zina, as if she wanted to etch her image into her memory.
Zina let out a sigh of relief, and she couldn’t help but smile a little as she left the company. The midday sun was just right, filling Zina’s heart with a gentle warmth.

It had been a few days since Rosie had last run into Zina at the restaurant, but she still felt uneasy, like something just wasn’t right.
Rosie was just heading downstairs, passing by the living room, when Kevin’s voice suddenly rang out, making
her freeze in her tracks.
“Dad, what’s wrong?” Rosie asked.
“What have you been doing these past few days? Do you even realize how bad things are for our family right now?” Kevin demanded.
Kevin’s brows were tightly knit, his voice laced with frustration he couldn’t hide.
Rosie froze for a moment, but quickly caught on to what Kevin meant and hurried to say, “Dad, Lydia promised to let me attend the Lambert family’s recognition party.
“We’ll get to meet the Lambert family there, and with your skills, I’m sure you can get them to invest in us.”
“Really?” Kevin’s eyes lit up instantly,
Rosie nodded eagerly. “Of course. Once we’re there, the company’s future will be in your hands.”
“Good girl,” Kevin said with a big grin, leaving Rosie behind as he headed upstairs to his study,
Before long, the sound of Kevin talking on the phone drifted down from the study,
Hearing the laughter from upstairs, Rosie couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief, and only then did she quietly slip away.

Outside the villa, a fancy car had been parked there for ages. Kyle saw her finally come out and ran his fingers through his hair impatiently before speaking. “What took you so long?” he asked.
