At the dining table, Patrick always sat at the head of the table. But unlike before, the one sitting right next to him wasn’t Kellan anymore; it was Zina.
Rosie followed Kyle in, and when she saw the three of them already seated, her eyes instantly went wide.
“Kyle, why is she-” Rosie tugged at his arm, looking like she wanted to say something but hesitated.
But Kyle wasn’t the type to keep his cool, especially in his home. He strode right up to Zina, looking down at her. “This is my seat. Please move,” he said, his voice firm.
When Zina didn’t budge, Kyle spoke again, his tone growing sharper. “Even if Kellan brought you back, you still have to follow our family’s rules, right? What are you trying to pull here? Are you just going to pretend you can’t hear me?”
“Did you really think pulling this stunt would make me pay more attention to you? Let me make it clear. Rosie is the only one I’ll ever love,” he added, his gaze softening as he turned to look at Rosie.
Rosie instantly lowered her head, her cheeks flushing bright red. Upon seeing her sweet, bashful look, Kyle’s heart burst with joy.
Meanwhile, Kyle didn’t notice at all that the three people beside him were looking at him with undisguised disgust and contempt.
Zina unconsciously tapped her fingers on the table. ‘Is he crazy or something?‘ she thought to herself. ‘He really doesn’t look like a normal person.
Suddenly, the same pattern of Morse code came, making Zina’s eyes go wide. She glanced around the table, and her gaze finally settled on Kellan, who was staring straight at her.
Zina started tapping out Morse code again with her fingers. ‘You know Morse code, too?‘ Zina tapped out the question, her curiosity piqued.
‘Sort of. Just enough to figure out what you’re sending,‘ Kellan replied, his fingers drumming a casual
response.
Zina fell completely silent, thinking her life was never going to be peaceful. ‘Is there anything this guy can’t do? Zina wondered. ‘Does he really have to be good at everything?‘
Moreover, Zina had undergone special modifications that enabled her to devise the Morse code she had just used. Even so, Kellan still managed to crack it.
The more Zina thought about it, the more she just clammed up; by the end, she was basically retreating into her little world, totally done with everything.
“Why do you guys fix your eyes on me?” Kyle finally realized all those eyes were on him, and he started to get suspicious. He couldn’t shake the feeling that something was about to happen.
But the next second, Kellan suddenly smirked.

A bad feeling flashed through Kyle’s mind, and he instantly tensed up. “W–What are you trying to say?” he asked, his voice a little shaky.
“Oh, nothing. I just think you act like you’ve got a screw loose. Honestly, it’s more like you’re living in your fantasy world,” Kellan said, his sharp gaze sweeping over Kyle.
He paused, then added slowly, “And by the way, you’re really just average. Don’t flatter yourself so much.”
Zina turned her head, watching the handsome, stoic guy next to her drop those internet buzzwords with a straight face. For a split second, she honestly felt like a total noob, completely out of touch with what was trending.
The world seemed to fall silent in that instant.
Zina almost couldn’t hold back her laughter, and when she glanced up to see Kyle looking absolutely livid, she just lost it and burst out laughing.
“What are you laughing at?” Kyle’s face turned beet red as he stared daggers at Zina.
But Zina didn’t even bother to look at him again, and Kyle just ended up being the clown of the group.
“Alright, let’s eat,” Patrick finally said, bringing the whole scene to a close.
Rosie gazed at the dishes on the table, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
When the shrimp was served, Rosie quickly picked one up and, grinning, placed it onto Zina’s plate.
“Zina, you have to try this. The shrimp looks amazing. You don’t mind, do you?” Rosie said, her voice sweet and innocent.
Zina looked up calmly, catching the barely contained excitement in Rosie’s eyes. She said in a cool, almost bored tone, “Wow, you really went to all that trouble to pick out the one thing I’m allergic to from all these dishes.
“And you even managed to reach across the table just to put it on my plate. So, are you trying to make everyone think I’m snubbing you? Or maybe you want them to see me as some kind of princess with a bad
attitude?
“Or is this just your way of making yourself look sweet and me look like the villain?”
Zina blinked her eyes at Rosie, looking as if she were genuinely curious for an answer.
Rosie’s face went from pale to livid, then all the way to bright red; she was so flustered that she couldn’t get a single word out.
Zina just brushed the shrimp aside with a light, almost dismissive motion, then picked up a piece of pudding and popped it into her mouth.
The pudding was soft and sweet, melting instantly as she bit down, leaving nothing but that pure, sugary flavor lingering between her lips and teeth.

Chapter 101
Judging from this point, Kaia and Conrad’s relationship was definitely extraordinary.
He must ask Kaia about it!
In the evening, Kaia arrived, and Tobias came along with her.
“Kaia, who is he?” Willa asked suspiciously.
Kaia had a headache coming up. Tobias insisted on following her shamelessly.
Before Kaia could step forward, Tobias introduced himself first.
“Mr. Becker, Mrs. Becker, these are the gifts I bought for you.”

Tobias was carrying a dozen shopping bags, including expensive clothes, valuable cigarettes, and wine, as well as health products, jewelry, and so on.
Those things alone were worth over one million dollars.
Willa and Solomon were shocked and turned their heads to look at Kaia in a daze.
Kaia already had a headache, but then it got even worse.
They tried to ask, “Kaia, who, who is he to you…”
“Dad, Mom, ignore him. He lost his mind.” When Kaia said that, she glared at Tobias.
Willa and Solomon probably understood what was going on.
This young man should be a pursuer of Kaia, but seeing that Kaia didn’t seem to dislike him very much, they treated Tobias politely.
“Don’t stand at the door. The dishes are on the table. Come in and eat quickly, or it won’t taste good when it’s cold.” Willa liked Tobias more and more as she looked at him.
She asked with a smile. “You’re so handsome, young man! How old are you?”
“Twenty–seven,” Tobias replied.
Solomon whispered to Willa, “He’s much older than Kaia.”
Although Tobias couldn’t hear what they were saying, he could tell from their lip movements.
“Mr. Becker, this is an authentic Screaming Eagle that I brought for you. Try it.” Before coming, Tobias had Devin inquire, and he learned that Solomon loved wine.
Tobias poured wine for Solomon and handed him the glass.
“Okay, thank you.” Solomon stared at the wine, his craving kicking in. He quickly took a sip, and his eyes lit up
the next second.

Zina nodded to herself, satisfied. ‘Yep, nothing beats my favorite pudding. It’s so sweet that it even makes my heart feel lighter. For a moment, it’s like all the family drama just melts away,‘ she thought.
Out of the corner of her eye, Zina caught sight of Rosie still staring at her, looking completely stunned. She couldn’t help but sigh, glancing up just a bit.
‘Ugh, that same old look again. What a pain,‘ Zina thought. ‘Is Rosie really about to go all pitiful acting on me again?‘
Zina frowned, about to speak, but before she could, Kellan had already turned to look at Rosie.
Rosie had never seen Kellan’s eyes so cold before, and she instantly stiffened in fear.
The very next moment, Kellan suddenly smiled, not at Rosie, but at Kyle. “I never knew before, Kyle, that the girl you fancy could be so calculating.
“Maybe you should keep her a bit farther from Zina. I’m afraid she’ll trigger Zina’s trypophobia with all those little schemes.”
After roasting Kyle until his face was bright red, Kellan turned to Rosie, clicking his tongue. “And you? Aren’t you exhausted from acting all the time?
“Honestly, I feel secondhand embarrassment for you. You really have some patience, huh? Do you actually think no one here can see through your little schemes?”
Kellan added, “Oh, and by the way, Kyle really can’t tell; he thinks you’re some kind of paragon of virtue, all pure and untainted. Actually, your act is halfway decent, but not enough to fool anyone for long.
“If you want to keep putting on a show, maybe go take some acting classes in the film department. Your skills are so bad. Anyone can see right through you. Zero immersion, seriously.”
After rattling all that off, Kellan leisurely picked up a napkin and wiped his mouth, finally nodding in satisfaction as a faint smile appeared on his face.
“Wow, this is great. Dinner and a live performance? Dad, I bet you never got this kind of treatment before, right?” Kellan smiled.
Patrick had been totally absorbed in the drama, and when he suddenly got mentioned, he froze for a second, blinking in confusion.
Right then, Kellan leaned in, looking all eager. “What do you think, Dad?” he asked, a mischievous glint in his
eyes.
“Uh, not bad-” Patrick replied, still a bit dazed. But as soon as he got a few words out, Patrick suddenly realized that Kellan was setting him up.
Patrick’s expression collapsed in an instant, but since he had to keep things under control, he could only force himself to put on a calm face,
“Alright, no talking at the table. Let’s just eat,” Patrick said, trying to bring the focus back to dinner.

“Good wine! This is really good wine!”

Tobias smiled. “I have hundreds of bottles of good wine in my collection. If you like it, you can take them all back with you later.”
Solomon waved his hand immediately. “That won’t do!”
“I don’t like drinking very much. If you don’t take them, they can only sit there and gather dust. Mr. Becker, don’t be so polite with me. When I marry your daughter, we’re family. Family members share good stuff, right?”
Solomon didn’t know how to refuse after hearing what Tobias said.
Kaia watched her parents get won over by Tobias in no time and silently complained inwardly, but she didn’t say anything.
After taking a few bites of food, Willa asked, “Where do you work? How many people are in your family?”
“Mom, we’re not even close yet. Can we just eat?” Kaia served a spoonful of food on Willa’s plate.
Willa was a bit upset. “Kaia, this young man is already pursuing you to this extent. Can’t I ask a little? This is about your lifelong happiness.”
Tobias truthfully replied, “There are four people in my family, and I currently work at Moreno Group.”
“Moreno Group?” Scott stood up abruptly. “Are you talking about the number one company in Morganburg, Moreno Group? The Moreno family, the richest family in Morganburg?”
Tobias nodded.
“Your surname is also Moreno. You’re not a member of the Moreno family, are you?” Scott stammered in shock.
Willa and Solomon both stopped eating, staring at Tobias with wide eyes.
Just as Tobias was about to tell the truth, Kaia preemptively said, “He just works at Moreno Group. He’s an ordinary employee.”
She lied because she was afraid that Willa and the others would worry about her. After all, in their eyes, she was just a country girl, while Tobias was the richest man in Morganburg. What if he just toyed with her and then abandoned her?
Tobias looked sideways at Kaia. He guessed the reason why Kaia said that, so he cooperated and said, “It just so happens that my last name is Moreno.”
Hearing what the two of them said, Willa and the others no longer suspected anything.
The meal was very enjoyable.
After Tobias sent the Becker family back to the hotel, he left alone.

But just as he finished speaking, Patrick suddenly felt a strong gaze on him, and a bad feeling crept over him.
Turning his head inch by inch, Patrick saw Rosie putting on her best damsel–in–distress look on the verge of tears, clearly waiting for someone to come to her rescue.
Patrick’s face fell instantly.

Kaia stayed behind because Willa and Solomon were leaving the next day, so she wanted to spend some time with them tonight.
“Kaia, I have something to ask you.” Scott was full of thoughts.
“Okay.” Kaia followed Scott out together.
They were walking down the street when Scott suddenly stopped.
He said, “I went to the interview today, and it was very successful.”
Kaia smiled. “That’s why I told you not to worry.”
Scott added, “Mr. Dorsey said he wanted to take me under his wing.”
Kaia nodded. “It’s not surprising because you have a designer’s talent.”
Scott continued, “He was especially polite to me, gave me a high salary, and gave me many privileges.”
Kaia said happily, “That shows he values you highly.”
“Kaia!” Scott called out, “Don’t you have anything to say? Don’t I know my own capabilities? Even if I have talent, Mr. Dorsey is the president of a large company and a leading international designer. What could I have done to deserve such treatment?”
