I swallow hard so Grayson can’t hear how much I break seeing him wounded like this. Shit. I wipe my eyes before the tears can fall.
“Hey, are you crying? Ugh,” Grayson tries to reach for my face but he just couldn’t. The fight is so close and I thought I’ll fucking lose him.
He’s sitting on the edge of the bed, his shirt ripped, blood trickling down his temple. I grab the first–aid kit from the dresser, my hands trembling as I rummage through it for antiseptic. “It’s fine,” he mutters, but I know he’s lying. I crouch in front of him, dabbing the cut with a cotton pad, and he hisses, his hand gripping the edge of the mattress. “Sorry,” I murmur, my fingers brushing his skin. “I was greedy, Grayson.”
I wanted too much. To the point that I almost lost everything that I have.
His eyes meet mine, intense, searching, and for a moment, the world narrows to just us. My hand moves from his thigh to his chest, feeling the beat of his heart beneath my palm. Alive. He’s alive.
I have to tell myself that.
But for how long?
I can’t stop replaying it–the fight, the way he lunged, the way he looked when he turned back to me, wild and furious. I can’t stop wondering if I’m going to wake up one day and he’ll be gone.
His hand slides up my arm, fingers tightening around my wrist. “Stop thinking,” he says, his voice rough
But I can’t stop. My hands clutch at his shirt, trembling as I sob into his chest. “I thought I was going to lose you,” I choke out. “You can’t do that to me, Grayson. You can’t. I can’t-”
He cuts me off, tilting my chin up with a rough touch. His eyes are dark, intense, as he gives me a kiss. It’s not soft–it’s desperate, messy, like he’s trying to say everything he can’t put into words. My fingers curl into his shoulders, pulling him closer as if he’ll disappear if I let go. His hands slide down my back, gripping my waist like he’s holding onto me just as tightly. I feel a shiver run through him, or maybe it’s me–I can’t tell

“I’m here,” he murmurs against my lips, his voice rough, breaking. Tim not going anywhere.” But his words don’t calm me. Instead, they pull another sob from my chest. He kisses me again, harder this time, like he’s trying to swallow the pain, the fear, everything His hands move to cradle my face, his thumbs brushing away my tears, but they just keep coming
“You scared me,” I whisper, my vone shaking “You can’t–you can’t just durow yourself into danger like that
Not without me”
He doesn’t answer Instead, he leans his forehead against mine, his breath warm and uneven. I love you so

His lips leave mine, trailing down my jaw, my neck, leaving a trail of fire in their wake. My breath hitches as his hands slide under my shirt, his fingers tracing the curve of my waist. I feel his heart pounding against my chest, matching the frantic rhythm of my own.
“Grayson,” I whisper, my voice trembling.
He pulls back just enough to look at me, his eyes wild and full of something I can’t quite name. Without a word, he lifts me off the ground, carrying me to the bed like I weigh nothing. He lays me down gently, his hands never leaving my skin.
“You’re hurt, please?”
Grayson doesn’t answer, just kisses me again, his lips soft but insistent. His hands move to the buttons of my shirt, fumbling with them until they’re undone. His fingers brush against my bare skin, and I shiver.
But then, he stops. His hands still, his breathing ragged as he looks at me. His eyes roam over my face, my body, like he’s memorizing every inch of me.
“You’re beautiful,” he murmurs, his voice so low it’s almost a growl.
My cheeks flush, and I can’t help but look away. But he catches my chin, forcing me to meet his gaze.
“Look at me,” he demands, his voice soft but firm.
I do. And what I see in his eyes takes my breath away. There’s something raw, something almost desperate in the way he’s looking at me. “I love you,” Grayson whispers again, trailing more kisses into my skin.
Goddess, what is he doing to me?
I can’t hold back anymore.
Grayson’s lips slide lower, mouth painting heat across my stomach, and I hate how easily I give it to him- how my legs fall open the second he grunts my name like that. He grabs my thigh, forces it wider, tilts me back, and I let him.
Goddess, I let him.
I should fight–1 should scream, shove him off, remind him what he did–but my back arches instead. My breath catches.
1 look up and he’s watching me like he’s starving, like this is the only thing keeping him alive.
My wounded alpha.
Blood is still drying on his skin, his hands still shaking from war, and he’s here–pinning me open like it’s the only way to prove he made it bark
Tm spent. He growled in my car, canines grazing against my carlobe I need to feel something, Jess

I don’t care if he’s bleeding, or if this is his way of bleeding out what’s left of his rage.
Right now, all I want is him.
Even this angry version of him.
Grayson chuckled lowly. ” Are you sure?”
Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.
He’s teasing my entrance with his cock, making me a desperate whimpering mess.

“Grayson!” I howled, pushing my hips just so he could already push himself inside me. This is torture. “Fuck me, please.”
“You’re so impatient,” he murmured, his lips grazing my ear. “What’s the rush?”
I bit my lip, trying to stifle the moan threatening to escape as he dipped his fingers lower, teasing me in ways that made my head spin.
“I need-” I started, but he cut me off with a low laugh.
“You need what?” he asked, his tone dripping with mock innocence. I glared at him, but it only made him chuckle harder.
He didn’t make me wait any longer. With a groan, he pushed into me, slow and deep, until I felt him everywhere. My breath caught, and I moaned, the sound catching in my throat as he filled me completely.
“That’s it,” he said, his lips brushing against my ear. “You take me so fucking well.”
I couldn’t speak, couldn’t think–all I could do was feel. His movements were possessive, almost primal, as if he was claiming every inch of me. And I wanted him to. I wanted him to erase everything else, to make me forget anything but this moment.
“Tell me he murmured, his breath hot against my skin. “Tell me how it feels.”
“It’s it’s too much,” I managed to say, my voice breaking as he pushed deeper.
“Too much?” he asked, his voice teasing. “Or not enough?”
“I don’t know,” I gasped, my hands clutching at his shoulders. “I don’t know anymore.”
His laws dug into my hips, not enough to break skin, but enough to let me know he was holding back–just barely I whimpered, my nails raking down his back, scratching at the muscle there. He growled low in his Duroat, the sound vibrating through me
“You’re mine,” he snarled, his voice rough, almost feral “Say it”
I gasped, my head falling back as he hit a spot that made my vision blur “Yours.” I choked out, the word a desperate plea “Always yours

His lips crashed into mine, hungry and demanding, his tongue claiming my mouth just as his body was claiming the rest of me. I couldn’t think, couldn’t breathe–all I could do was cling to him, willing him to take everything, to make me forget the world outside.
