Chapter 210
JESSICA
I have a lot of misunderstandings with Grayson but none of it is as absurd as this one. I halfway accept all the shitty things in this lifetime but him?
Offering me to Kirill is definitely not on my list.
“You think this is funny?”
“Do I look like I’m kidding?”
I don’t think I can stand and stare at this man for another second. Aside from the absurdity of his words, it hurts to see him talk about it with such a flat, cold expression
“You’re my mate,” I whisper. “My Alpha. You’re supposed to fight for me, not hand me over like I’m some meat to share. I’ve never expected a lot from you, Grayson. I never did.”
“Jess…”
I chew my lips. He was my first love. My first in everything.
“You just keep on disappointing me, do you know that?”
I got out of that place before I could severe whatever we had. Once I’m out, I couldn’t stop my tears. There’s disappointment and there’s pain.
I’ve only felt such terrible pain whenever it’s about him. I gasp a quiet chuckle, holding myself on the wall as I wipe my tears.
Of fucking course.
“What the fuck do you want Kirill?”
“You’re crying. He made you cry already?”
Hah. I can’t believe this man.
I know I’m not thinking straight but I manage to throw a straight punch on his face. Kirill dodges it but I have another free hand so I slapped his cheek.
“You fucking dirty asshole!” My anger spikes. I can tell he’s not accidentally found me here. “What the fuck do you want from me Kirill? Why are you doing this?!”
Kirill scowls. “Doing what?”
“Oh what? You don’t know what you did? You told Grayson a fucking deal and now he’s out there considering it. Are you insane? A mate? My mate after you told me that I couldn’t even make it?”

An animalist growl escapes his throat, and I’m suddenly pressed into the wall.
“How is that my fucking fault?”
“Let me go“! I shove his chest.

“No, Jessica. Listen to me!” Kirill flipped me so my back was pressed on his chest. “I merely told him what we both want.”
“You’re fucking insane.” I glared up into his face, wanting to spit on it but when his lips came crashing down. on mine I lost all the fight on me. For a second. Until I bite his lower lips, making me bleed. “You fucking disgusts me Kirill. And know this, I won’t accept you as my mate. I will never accept you as my mate.”
The best I could do is to wipe my lips and move back. I’m overwhelmed with emotions and so is Grayson who is watching us now.
“So, what do you think of Westwood? Still want to share with me?”
I didn’t give any of them a glance as I ran out of that place. There are a lot of things that are going on in my head and it hurts.
It really fucking hurts.
I don’t know why but I found myself sitting next to Cid’s sister.
She’s got a place and a good heart to accommodate me when she sees me sobbing and crying at her door.
“If you need anything, I’m at my clinic.”
All I can do is nod. Everything in me is burning up and I don’t fucking know why.
“Should I tell Cid you are here?” She asked again, checking for my temperature. “Are you marked?”
I sat up, still shivering and confused about what was happening to me. After I kissed Kirill, my body started to act weird.
“I’m marked. Is there something wrong?”
Something is wrong. I can see it in her eyes, wide and uneasy, as she shakes her head and runs her hands over me again.
“I think… it’s just some heat,” she mutters, but her voice wavers.
“Heat?” I snap, disbelief rising. “I’m marked.”
“I… I don’t know,” she stammers, biting her lip. “Uhmmm… let me check something first. Why don’t you rest here for a moment?”
“Just… stay still. Let me figure this out.”
I couldn’t stop her when she walked away. I’m left alone, and this innate heat devours me. It’s not supposed to

happen. I’m marked. My body should only respond to Grayson.
And yet… it burns.
I curl into myself, trembling, desperate for relief that I don’t know how to reach.

The sun sinks fast. Darkness falls, and the fire inside me only grows sharper. By the time someone walks in, I’m on the floor, screaming in pain.
“Jess!”
My vision blurs, sweat stinging my eyes, and I rock back and forth, desperate to chase the unbearable fire
away.
Hands grab me, steadying, pulling me up, but it barely helps.
“Help…me…..Help…me.”
Thank the goddess–it’s Grayson.
“Fuck. Tell me what’s happening baby!”
“It… it’s burning… everywhere… I can’t… I can’t control it!”
He curses under his breath, pulling me closer, pressing me against him. “Okay… okay, I’ve got you. Just breathe with me. Focus on me. I’m right here.”
I try. I try, matching my ragged breaths to his, but the heat claws at me relentlessly.
“Grayson please!”
Without thinking, without reason, I crash my lips to his, desperate.
Desperate for anything to calm the inferno, to ground myself, to stop the madness inside me.
My hands shoot up, gripping his jaw, forcing my tongue inside him, sucking his breath.
I don’t care.
I can’t care.
I’m so fucking lost with everything. My hands fist in his hair, tugging just enough to make him groan, and I kiss him harder, deeper, like I’m trying to steal every last piece of him.
I don’t care if it’s messy, if it’s too much. I just need him. Right now. Like this.
I break for air, but only for a second, before diving back in, my teeth grazing his bottom lip. He growls, and it’s wild, untamed.
“What’s happening to me?”

Grayson’s eyes soften, his hands cupping my face. His thumbs brush away the tears, his touch so gentle it makes me ache even more.
“Hey,” he murmurs. “I’m sorry I’ve put you into this, Jess.”
I shake my head, my hands gripping his wrists like I’m afraid he’ll let go. “I don’t know what’s wrong with me,” I whisper, my voice breaking.
“Nothing’s wrong with you,” he says firmly, leaning in to press his forehead against mine. “I fucked up baby. I fucked up so bad.”
His words make me cry harder, and he pulls me into his chest, holding me tight. I can feel his heart pounding against mine, fast and wild.
“I want to go home.”
I don’t know why I’m falling apart like this, but he doesn’t let go. He just holds me, his hands running up and down my back like he’s trying to soothe all the chaos inside me.
“Then let’s go home, Jess. I’ll bring you back to me. I’ll bring you back to me.”
