Zayn drew in a deep breath and pushed the door open. His eyes were icy as he stared at Whitney and demanded, “What did
you just say?”

Zayn was not fooled. His gaze swept the room and landed on the phone glowing on the table. He picked it up, feeling his heart turn to ice. On the screen were chat messages between me and Whitney.
Whitney: [Yvonne, you bitch, you’d better die out there and never come back!]
Whitney: [See this? Zayn made this soup just for me. You’ll never taste it in your life.]
Whitney: [You deserve to rot alone, Yvonne!]
Each vicious, spiteful line cut into him like a blade. He could not believe that Whitney was such a person.
Rage boiled over. His hand lashed out to slap her across the face. “Whore! How dare you treat Yvonne like this?”
Stunned, Whitney clutched her cheek, staring at him in disbelief. “Zayn… did you just hit me? For her sake? Don’t forget. I’m
the mother of your child!”
Zayn let out a cold laugh. There was nothing but coldness in his eyes. “The mother of my child? You? Don’t make me laugh.
The only woman who has the right to bear my child is Yvonne. You? You’re nothing but tool.”

Whitney completely broke down when she heard those words. “No! That’s impossible! You told me you loved me! You said
we’d be together!”
Zayn looked at her with disgust and shoved her away with a sharp kick. “Love you? Be with you? Look at yourself. You think you’re even worthy of being compared to Yvonne? Yvonne is kind, gentle, and graceful. You? Malicious. Petty. Calculating.
You don’t hold a candle to her!”
Whitney collapsed to the floor. Clinging to his leg, she started sobbing desperately. “No! Zayn, don’t do this to me! Yvonne’s gone. Let me take care of you and the baby instead! I’ll do it better than she ever could–so much better!”
However, Zayn kicked her away again. A chilling coldness flickered in his eyes. “Replace her? You? Don’t make me laugh.
Yvonne is the best woman in the world. You’ll never measure up.”
Seeing that she could not sway him, she clutched her belly, her voice breaking with panic. “Zayn, even if you don’t want me,
the child is innocent! It’s your flesh and blood. You can’t do this!”
