could feel him following not far behind.

I placed my hand on my rounded belly and said firmly, “Even without you, I can raise my child. Besides, the child would never
accept a father who cheated after growing up.”
Zayn’s face turned pale, and his eyes were full of disappointment.
“Yvonne, do you really hate me this much?” he asked.
I did not answer. I simply closed the door.
In the following days, Zayn sent flowers and gifts every day. I refused to accept any of them. I threw them all into the trash
can. I wanted them to be out of sight and out of mind.
