Chapter 121
Chapter 121
“I used to come here often, so I got to know him.” Kaia answered truthfully.
“Come here often? Are you that rich?”

“Speaking of which, every time I come, I’m treated by someone else, and I haven’t spent a penny myself.”
Hearing this, Donald and Penny did not think that Kaia was the kind of person who relied on hugging other people’s thighs for free meals, but that she had real skills that made people willing to treat her.
In the middle of the conversation, all the dishes were served.
“Wow! The dishes are coming out so fast this time! Back when we came before, we always had to wait forever, especially for the chef’s Golden Roast Chicken. It’s basically impossible to reserve, and my dad and I have never had the chance to try it. I didn’t expect our luck to be this good today.”
As soon as Penny finished speaking, Rita‘ roar followed.
“Waiter! My table and that table over there basically arrived together. How come they’ve gotten all their dishes, but we haven’t gotten a single one?”
“And what about the chef’s Golden Roast Chicken? We asked you about it, and you said we were too late, and the chef only makes three Golden Roast Chicken dishes a day, and the slots were booked a week ago!”
The waiter smiled and replied, “Miss, I’m not lying to you. The Golden Roast Chicken was indeed booked a week ago.”
“Then how do they have it?” Rita pointed at the other table and shouted, “Don’t tell me they booked it a week ago. I don’t believe it. I arrived at Splendor Hotel with them. There was only one private room left. If she had booked it in advance, she could have gone straight in. There was no need to go to the front desk to book a private room!”
“Um…I…” The waiter looked troubled.
Rita was annoyed and glanced around at the people nearby. Many people had arrived before them. Some tables didn’t have a single dish, and some only had a few cold dishes.
“Is this how Splendor Hotel does things? Everyone arrived before Kaia and her group, so why is she getting served first? Did she give you some kind of bribe? If you don’t say, it must be a shameful bribe, right? I’ve heard that Kaia often sells her body for her own benefit.”
When the diners around them heard this, they all looked at Kaia with strange and disdainful eyes.
“How dare you! Rita, why is your mouth so foul? Who gave you the right to say that? Do you have any evidence? Apologize to Kaia now, or I’m calling the policel” Penny was so angry that she wanted to tear Rita‘ mouth apart.
“Call the police?” Rita stood up, full of bluster. “Go ahead and call them if you dare! Who’s afraid of who? It’s her own fault for being shameless. Can’t I even say it?”

“Well, you really thought I’d fall for the illusion you set up–believe that everyone in the family looks down on me, so I’d push them away and hand you the perfect chance to swoop in? Do you really take me for a fool?” Zina raised an eyebrow, looking at her with a mocking smile.
Lydia’s face flashed with panic. Despite her efforts to remain composed, her trembling lips and inability to speak clearly revealed her true feelings.
Giving up on pretending, Lydia moved closer to Zina and whispered so only they could hear.
“Yeah, I’m jealous of you! So what? Even if the police get involved, you grew up in a rich family. You have no idea how much I’ve sacrificed for this family. I just want to live my life. Why do you keep messing it up?
“Why can’t you just leave? I’ve been part of this family for over twenty years–they’re my parents, not yours. Don’t even think about kicking me out,” Lydia said, her tone sharp.
Zina looked at Lydia’s angry expression, watching as Lydia began to lose control.
Lydia’s outburst was wild, a mix of frustration and fury, but Zina remained composed, her gaze unwavering. Lydia’s shoulders sagged, her anger giving way to defeat.
“Zina, please don’t make me leave. I know you don’t like me, but I just want to be with Mom and Dad,” Lydia pleaded, her voice trembling.
“Can you talk to Zina for me? Please, I don’t want to leave the Lambert family,” Lydia added, turning to Hayden in desperation.
Hayden had been watching the drama unfold but was now unexpectedly dragged into it. He quickly stepped back, distancing himself from Lydia. “You’re seriously crazy,” Hayden muttered, “Why are you throwing all this at me? What’s wrong with you?”
As he spoke, Hayden rubbed his arms, eyeing Lydia like she was something filthy he wanted nothing to do with.
Lydia completely lost it. “Can’t you see who the real victim is here? Seriously, are all of you blind? What’s so special about Zina Sinclair anyway?” Lydia screamed, her words dripping with jealousy.
Zina lazily interjected, “Wait, I’m Zina Lambert now.”
Hearing this, Lydia collapsed in tears, unable to hold back any longer. “Shut up! I don’t want to hear another word from you. Why can’t you just disappear from my life?”
“Well, I’ll be going now,” Zina said with a shrug, giving Hayden a casual pat on the shoulder.
Even after they’d walked quite a distance, Hayden still looked like he hadn’t had enough of the drama. “Not gonna lie, that drama felt like a soap opera. I swear, it was wild,” Hayden said, shaking his head and smirking.
Zina shrugged. “You seem to really enjoy this kind of family drama. If you ever want a front–row seat, just drop by anytime.”
Just imagining having to witness this every single day made Hayden break out in goosebumps. He shook his head. “No thanks. That’s too much for me.”

Kaia’s eyes swept over and a cold glint flashed in her eyes as she looked at Rita.

“Rita, don’t think that just because you were born into the Parsons family, you can treat others like that.”
“I just trampled you, so what? Just a cheap country girl! Am I supposed to be afraid of you?” Rita sped up and became even more arrogant.
Issac and Sophia also looked at Kaia with the eyes of superiors.
Kaia narrowed her eyes slightly, pursed her red lips, and said unhurriedly, “Just wait and see. With the Parsons family’s arrogant and domineering style, retribution will come soon enough.”
“Hahaha! Funny, as if you can decide our life or death! Come on! I’m waiting. I want to see when retribution will come!” Rita laughed wildly, flailing her arms.
Kaia took out her phone and made a call, “I don’t want to see the Parsons family in Morganburg tomorrow.”
“Oh my, you’re really putting on an act! Kaia, are you trying to make me laugh to death as revenge? If so, then I can only say that you are quite self–aware, because as a person without identity or background, you can only retaliate in this way.”
“Rita! Didn’t you brush your teeth this morning? The words coming out of your mouth are stinkier than the poop in the toilet!” If Penny hadn’t been held back by Kaia, she probably would have rushed up and fought Rita with her life.
“Kaia, don’t hold me back! Let me go over and beat her up! I really can’t stand it anymore!”
Kaia still held Penny back, “You said she’s stinkier than the poop in the toilet, why are you getting angry with poop?”
Hearing what Kaia said, Penny immediately felt much better.
“That’s right. Why bother with poop? It’ll just get flushed down the drain. Hahaha…” As she spoke, Penny saw Rita’s face darken, and she laughed even harder.
Frustrated, Rita glared at Kaia and Penny with rage. Suddenly, she thought of something and abruptly turned to the others waiting for their meals.
“Are you all okay with this? You clearly arrived before them, so why have their dishes been served while yours haven’t?”
Rita’s deliberate attempt to stir things up had an effect, and the people waiting for their meals all directed their anger toward Kaia,
In their eyes, the truth of the matter was most likely as Rita said–Kaia shamelessly sold her body.
“So young, so beautiful–why can’t she value herself?”
“Exactly. To do something like that for a meal is truly despicable.”
“This is disgusting! Waiter, call your manager!”

Meanwhile, upstairs in the study, Richard sat at the head of the table, pouring himself a cup of coffee without making any other move. He simply sized up the man sitting across from him in silence.
Richard had to admit, Zina actually had pretty good taste. Kellan was definitely handsome, but too bad his reputation was somewhat notorious. Otherwise, Richard might’ve actually given him some serious thought.
Noticing Richard’s gaze, Kellan looked up and smiled, breaking the silence. “Mr. Lambert, did you call me here to share some words of wisdom?” Kellan asked, his tone polite but tinged with curiosity.

Chapter 121
Tobias was speechless.
Rita was clearly pleased with everyone’s reaction.
Sophia and Issac looked at their daughter, feeling very proud.
‘Well done!‘
‘Let’s see how Kaia makes a fool of herself now!‘
The lobby manager had not yet arrived, but the head chef arrived first.
“Isn’t that the head chef of Splendor Hotel? Why is he here?”

“That’s strange, why is he holding a dish in his hand? I have been to Splendor Hotel for so many years, and I have never seen the head chef personally serving dishes.”
“It is indeed very strange. Splendor Hotel is the number one hotel in Morganburg, and the head chef himself is an incredible chef who has won countless awards. Why would he personally serve dishes? Not to mention Splendor Hotel, even in other large hotels, the head chef would not personally serve dishes! That’s the job of the waiters, right?”
Under the doubtful gaze of the crowd, the head chef placed the newly made dish in front of Kaia.
“Teacher, please have a taste. This is a new dish I have developed. Please give me your opinion and see if I have made any progress?”
‘What? What’s going on?‘
Penny and Donald were dumbfounded, and the Parsons family was also stunned.
Those who had just ridiculed Kaia were all petrified in place.
Kaia lightly raised her eyebrows, looked at the head chef, and said, “I don’t remember accepting you as a disciple.
“Yes, I shamelessly begged you to take me as your disciple, but you said my skills were too poor and rejected me on the spot. Since then, I have focused on studying culinary arts and constantly trying to develop new dishes, just hoping that one day you would change your mind and accept me as a disciple,” the head chef said
with a sincere face.
