“Okay, Dad. Don’t worry. I will definitely not cause you any trouble,” Rita assured.

Kaia didn’t know about the Parsons family and Conrad. All the dishes were on the table, and they were sitting around the table eating.

Zina walked over to the computer, casually pulled out a pink USB drive from her pocket, and plugged it in. Her fingers danced over the keyboard, quickly copying all the footage.
She gave the USB drive a little shake in her hand and smiled in satisfaction.
Realizing Kellan was still there, Zina turned around and saw him with his brows furrowed, lost in thought.
He was still stuck on how smoothly Zina had handled everything. Her movements were effortless, and she seemed to be a step ahead, even faster than the hackers on his team.
But the thing was, Zina always looked so innocent and harmless. Even Kellan was starting to doubt if that sweet, pitiful look she always showed him was just an act.
But if she were really as innocent as she seemed, he never would have chosen her as a partner in the first place.
The moment Kellan looked up, Zina was already handing him a freshly printed document. It was a partnership proposal.
When he saw the words “Partnership Proposal” on the document, Kellan was momentarily stunned, unsure of what it was. It wasn’t until Zina opened the document and revealed the details that he understood.
“As for the collaboration between the Lambert Group and the Carter Corporation, 2% of the profits listed he will go solely to Zina Lambert, the document stated.
Kellan read the fine print out loud and looked up at Zina, who looked completely unapologetic. He smiled. “You really don’t bother hiding how greedy you are, huh?” he said.
“So what? Only ambitious people ever make it to the top. Surely you understand that, Mr. Carter, Zina shot back.
Kellan couldn’t really argue with that, so he just shook his head. “No, I just really admire your attitude–you act like you don’t care, but you still want everything. You’re really not like anyone else.”
Zina frowned a little, feeling like what Kellan said was more of a backhanded compliment than anything nice. But she couldn’t really argue, so she kept silent.
