Chapter 127
He was originally supposed to go with Tobias to deal with company affairs today, but as they were about to leave, he suddenly had diarrhea, so he stayed at the villa temporarily.
He didn’t expect to see such a scene.
He wanted to see if Frank was climbing into Kaia’s window in the middle of the night to do something untoward to her.
“Damn it! I treated Frank like a brother, and he actually wants to cuckold my boss! I’ll catch you today,”
Devin quietly climbed up to the window on the second floor, peering inside, and saw the scene in the room: Kaia and Frank were standing face to face.
He wondered if they even knew each other. It didn’t seem to be what he had imagined that Frank wanted to do something improper to Kaia.
“What are they talking about? It’s not clear through the glass. He thought.
Joel reported on the work he had completed, “Griffin was not sent abroad. In the end, Judith stopped him, and he opened a bar in the city center to cover up. Do you want me to deal with it and send him abroad to be watched?”
After a couple of seconds of silence, Kaia replied, “Forget it. No matter how terrible Griffin is, he’s still Keaton’s grandson. I’ll let Griffin off the hook for now out of respect for him. But if he does anything bad in the future, I’ll deal with him immediately.”
“Okay. I’ll have people keep a close eye on him. Oh, anyway, the Parsons family were not only kicked out of Morganburg, but also expelled from Wustriland,” Joel continued to report.
“People like that deserve what they get, Kaia said coldly.
Devin, who was leaning on the window, was getting anxious. What are they talking about? They seem to be really close! What is their relationship?”
‘Should I report this to Boss now?”
‘Or should I wait a little longer?‘ Nothing had happened between Kaia and Frank yet, and even if he reported it to the boss, it wouldn’t cause a stir.
So he shouldn’t make a rash move, and should continue to watch from here. Maybe he could catch them in the act.
Joel rubbed his stomach. “I’ve digested everything I ate tonight. This is the perfect time for a midnight snack. Tobias isn’t here, so it’s perfect for you and me to go out for a midnight snack together. It’s my treat.”
“Okay, I won’t be polite with you,” Kaia really meant it.
Soon the two walked out of the villa together.

Zina?”
“No.” Zina replied. She gave a wry smile, at a loss for words. Letting out a long sigh, Zina shook her head. helplessly.
But Rosie kept staring at both Zina and Kellan, and for a moment, Zina didn’t know how to respond.
“Let’s go. No need to waste time–we still have to head over to the Lambert Villa, Kellan said. He stepped in between Rosic and Zina, raising an eyebrow as he looked at Zina. He could tell that Zina was hiding something from him.
Zina suddenly shivered, unable to shake the feeling that someone had their eyes on her. Her eyes darted around the elevator, but she just went quiet again. Rosie kept moving closer to Zina, and the tension between them was becoming obvious.
Taking a deep breath, Zina walked over to Kellan’s side and gave him a gentle smile. “It’s not like this is your first time at the Lambert Villa. Should I give them a call to let them know you’re coming, just in case?”
“No need. I’m sure the Lambert family is already prepared. After all, everyone can see how much I care about you.” As Kellan spoke, he gave Zina a warm, affectionate look.
The two locked eyes, both forcing smiles despite the awkwardness.
Rosie watched them, fists clenched, her eyes burning with resentment.
“Why does that bitch Zina always look so calm and carefree, no matter what? Zina gets everyone’s love, while I’m left fighting just to survive, Rosie thought, resentment burning in her chest.
Next to her, Zina rolled her wrist and let out a quiet sigh. She needed to act quickly.
Once they stepped out of the elevator, Zina followed Kellan as they headed for the underground parking
garage.
Normally bright, the underground garage was now shrouded in dimness. The indicator lights had all gone out for some unknown reason.
Zina clenched her fists, her brow furrowed in concern.
Noticing her tension, Kellan gently grabbed her wrist and leaned in close, his lips near her ear. “Don’t worry.
I’m here.”
His warm breath tickled her ear, and Zina’s eyes went wide in shock, her mind going totally blank.
Just then, they heard footsteps coming from every direction around them. Zina’s heart was pounding as she suddenly grabbed Kellan’s hand tight.
“Follow me,” Zina said. The sounds around her grew sharper in her ears as she pulled Kellan along toward
Devin followed quietly, muttering to himself again.
“Why aren’t these two sleeping in the middle of the night? What are they doing out there? Could my previous guess be right? Frank has bad intentions and wants to take advantage of Kaia, so he deliberately brought her
out?”
Thinking of this, Devin got angry again.
“What friend! You’re a damn man!‘
Kaia looked at Joel, who was wearing Frank’s face, and stopped.
“Why don’t you change back? If Tobias’s people find you like this, they will suspect your identity.”
Joel touched his face. “That’s right. If I’m discovered, it will be inconvenient for me to stay in the Moreno family house and stay by your side in the future.”
“Wait for me, I’ll be right out.” Saying that, Joel turned into a nearby public restroom.
Devin scratched the back of his head. “Frank’s identity? What identity? Isn’t he just a bodyguard?”
After waiting for a while, Devin’s eyes, which had been staring at the toilet, began to ache. Just as he was about to rub his eyes, he suddenly saw an extremely familiar person walking out of the toilet.
Joel greeted Kaia, “Okay, now we don’t have to worry about Tobias’s people finding out.”
Kaia nodded, “Okay, let’s go get some midnight snack.”
Suddenly, a sound came from nearby.
Kaia and Joel immediately looked towards the direction of the sound, and then saw Devin walking out from behind the bushes.
“Why is he here? When did he follow us?‘ they thought.
Devin’s mouth dropped open, eyes wide, as he stared at Joel and pointed. “Y–y–you–you’re Frank?”
“Oh my god! The bodyguard the Moreno family hired is actually Joel, the international fighting king!”
Are you kidding me? If I hasn’t seen it with my own eyes, I would never have believed anyone who said it‘
At the same time, Devin thought of all those moments spent joking and hanging out with his idol, and he felt a strange, subtle mix of emotions in his heart.
Joel turned to look at Kaia, “He found out, do you want to silence him?”
Devin was so scared that he took two steps back.
Kaia laughed and said, “You’re joking. Look how scared he is.”
Hearing this, Devin breathed a long sigh of relief and walked up to Kaia and Joel.

But just as she spotted the Maybach Kellan had driven, someone lunged at them from behind, shouting in a piercing voice. “Die!”
“I don’t understand. Why would you pretend to be a bodyguard and come to the Moreno family?”
“Of course, it’s to protect Kaia,” Joel replied truthfully.
Devin opened and closed his mouth several times before finding his voice.
“No, no, aren’t you Dr. Bennett’s personal guard? You, you said you were protecting Miss Bennett?”
“Yes,” Joel nodded. ‘I told you before that Kaia saved my life. I’m here to repay her.”
“But you’re Dr. Bennett’s personal bodyguard!”
“I discussed this with Dr. Bennett, and with her permission, I came here to protect Kaia for two months. After two months, I will leave and return to Dr. Bennett’s side.” Joel lied without batting an eye.
Joel was Devin’s idol, and with Joel’s superb acting skills, Devin trusted Joel’s words implicitly.
“By the way, don’t tell anyone about this for now.” Joel looked at Devin solemnly.
Devin frowned. ‘Including Boss?”
“Yes! Including him.”
“But-“Devin was embarrassed. “He’s my boss! If he finds out one day, I won’t be able to explain it.”
“You don’t have to worry about that. Kaia will move out in a week, and I’ll leave the Moreno family. Your boss will never know about this.”
Although Joel said so, Devin was still a little worried.
“But…”
“Why are you so long–winded like a woman? It’s only the last week, isn’t it? I said your boss wouldn’t find out. If you keep dawdling. I’ll really shut you up.”
Joel threatened Devin while raising his fist.

Devin had been by Tobias’s side for many years and knew his temper well.
“Miss Bennett, I can keep this a secret for you, but there is one question I need you to answer truthfully.”
