Casey’s attitude surprised everyone present. Was she flattering Kaia?

The woman’s voice was crisp and resolute, her eyes shining even brighter under the lights. Her words echoed through the hall, snapping everyone back to their senses.
“That’s not unreasonable at all,” the organizer finally spoke up, her tone carrying the gentle warmth unique to someone older who truly loved her craft.
While things were being sorted out, she took the chance to introduce herself.
“I’m the organizer of this event. You can call me Raina Mercer,” she said with a kind smile.
“My name is Zoe Kensington. I just want to take back what’s rightfully mine. I never meant to cause any trouble for your jewelry show,” Zoe replied, her voice soft and a little nervous.
Maybe it was just that Raina was so gentle, but Zoe couldn’t help blushing, lowering her head as she spoke in a voice so quiet it was almost a whisper.
Raina kept her smile steady and shook her head gently.
“It’s alright. I respect every designer with a dream. And let me make one thing clear.
“Plagiarism will never be tolerated at my jewelry show. Every designer’s work is one of a kind, and the effort behind each piece deserves respect,” Raina said firmly.
Standing in the center of the crowd, Raina seemed to radiate her own light, even without the spotlight.
After waiting for what felt like ages and seeing no one step forward, Raina finally lost her patience and walked straight toward the corner where Rosie was hiding. “Miss Sinclair, could you please come over here?” she called out.
Rosie jolted when her name was suddenly called out.
‘Seriously? I thought I was hidden in this dump. How did anyone still manage to find me?‘ Rosie thought, her heart pounding.
And of course, it just had to be Raina who spotted her. There was literally nowhere left to hide.
Rosie braced herself and forced herself to look up as Raina came closer.
“Uh, I’m here. I was just caught up in something and didn’t really catch what you all were talking about,” Rosie mumbled, trying to sound casual but failing miserably.
“I know,” Raina replied, nodding as her eyes locked onto Rosie with a piercing look,
Rosie’s nerves were already on edge, and now it felt like her heart was about to shatter. She bit her lower lip, giving Raina her most helpless look.
“I’m not feeling too well. I think I should head home,” Rosie said, her voice deliberately frail and pitiful.

She could feel countless stares closing in from all directions. Rosie bit her lip, forcing herself to stay calm, and finally looked up at Zoe, the woman whose eyes were red with emotion and whose face was full of stubborn resolve.
Zoe was seeing, for the first time, the woman who had stolen her design. Her eyes were red with emotion, and she glared fiercely ahead, unable to hide her anger.
Taking a deep breath, Zoe spoke up. “Miss Sinclair, since you claim this is your work, please show us your design concept.
“And I’d also like you to explain in detail the meaning behind this piece.”
Rosie looked around in a panic, feeling the weight of countless eyes on her, as if everyone was just waiting to see her make a fool of herself.
As Raina approached, a commanding voice rang out. “Alright, Miss Sinclair, shall we start with you?”
Rosie nodded, took a deep breath, and began speaking in front of everyone. “This piece is crafted from rubies and diamonds, meant to represent the lasting presence of something eternal.
“The bird and the garden are symbols of paradise, and the pink diamond was chosen to give it a more whimsical, childlike feel. The tiny diamonds below are meant to create the effect of a sky full of twinkling
stars.”
Rosie spoke with such confidence that even Zina was a little surprised.
Rosie’s explanation matched almost perfectly with what Zina herself had interpreted from the design.
But Zoe was acting so innocent.
For a moment, Zina was a bit confused. She just frowned and glanced over at Kellan beside her. “What’s going on?” she asked quietly.

Noelle scoffed dismissively. “She should have behaved earlier. If she dares to cross Casey again, she won’t even
get dinner tonight and will be kicked out of the private room. She’ll be utterly humiliated.”
Casey’s mouth curved upward, her eyes full of disdain as she looked at Kaia.
“The teachers have all arrived. Let’s take our seats.” Casey invited everyone to take their seats with the demeanor of the party’s host.
She had just sat down when Philip pushed the door open and barged in.
“Philip, you’ve finally arrived. We were just waiting for you.”

“So now, shouldn’t you tell everyone about your own design concept? Or is it going to be exactly the same as mine?”
Faced with Rosie’s aggressive questioning, Zoe was left speechless.
Meanwhile, the commotion from the crowd below only grew louder and more chaotic.
