Chapter 140
The assistant beside him was startled by Gus’s sudden outburst. He quickly wiped the sweat from his forehead, let out a sigh of relief, and cautiously asked, “Mr. Logan, what happened?”
“Hayden wants to dig through the old records,” Gus grumbled, his voice full of frustration. His weathered face showed a mix of suspicion and determination.
The assistant, still confused, asked, “But doesn’t Dr. Grayson always look through patient records? Isn’t that normal?”
Gus’s exasperation grew. “The problem is that brat wants to dig through records from a long time ago. I just know he’s up to something. No way, I need to see what he’s planning before he causes a real mess.”
With that, Gus shook his head and quickly rushed out of the office.

Meanwhile, Hayden dug out Kevin’s old medical records from the archives. His eyes widened in shock when he saw the words “Low Sperm Count” on the report. “So, he can’t have children? But wait, then how did he have a kid?”
“Who says the kid has to be his?” Kellan chimed in.
Hayden nodded seriously, genuinely impressed. “Trust you to see right through things,” he said.
The sincerity in Hayden’s look made Kellan want to curse at him for a moment. Finally, Kellan forced himself to calm down and spoke again, “Alright, we’ve got what we need. Back it up, and that’s all you need to do.”
Hayden immediately jumped up, clearly dissatisfied. “How could you treat me like this? You use me and then throw me away. You’re heartless.”
He exaggeratedly wiped away imaginary tears, putting on a dramatic act of misery.
Kellan couldn’t take it anymore. His fists clenched at his sides as he shot Hayden a glare. “Say one more word, and I’ll throw you out myself.”
