“Yes, I got divorced and remarried. Actually, I didn’t come here tonight with Zacharias. I was hoping to bring my husband along and introduce him to you both, but he’s swamped with work. I hope you’ll understand.
“Also, this little one isn’t my husband’s child. She got separated from her parents, and I’ve already asked the crew to help find her family.”
Marlowe was stunned.
She looked at Anneliese and Zacharias, finding it a pity.
The two had grown up together, and Anneliese had stood by Zacharias as he built his career.
Marlowe had always thought the pair were a perfect match, much like her and her own husband when they were young.

“For now, let us raise our glasses together, and celebrate Mr. and Mrs. Golding’s steadfast love

She spoke clearly as she turned around, picked up a glass of champagne, and lifted it high.
With that radiant smile of hers, she lit up the room.
Without question, Anneliese knew how to work a situation to her favor.
