Anneliese ignored him and turned to Jonathan. “Is it really alright to do this at this hour?”
The noise was overwhelming.
The man, in excellent spirits, pulled her close and replied, “It is loud, but don’t worry. I already spoke with the management and the residents. They were told an entertainment complex would be built here. No one objected.”
What he didn’t mention was that he had also distributed money to the residents. Everyone had been more than happy to accept.
Glancing around, Anneliese noticed people peeking from windows and others watching from the street corner.
Indeed, no one shouted or tried to stop it.
She nodded slightly.
Jonathan covered her ears gently. “Go wait in the car. It really is too noisy.”
Anneliese pulled Jessica along, and the two of them returned to the back seat.
“Mr. Fullbuster’s jealousy could shake heaven and earth,” Jessica commented as soon as they sat down, clapping her hands in awe.
Unconsciously, Anneliese’s gaze drifted to the man standing upright in front of the car, chatting casually with Joel and the others.
His demeanor was calm, as though he were simply admiring the scenery, not demolishing someone’s house.
She shook her head lightly. “Not jealousy. He’s just fed up with Zacharias.”
Last time, Zacharias had sent Jonathan a video of his proposal at Sunrise Residence, deliberately stirring trouble.
To Jonathan, as her husband, that was nothing short of a declaration of war. His actions tonight were simply a timely retaliation to protect his pride.
There was no jealousy. After all, he already had someone he liked,
“Oh my god! Has Zacharias lost his mind?”

Jessica pressed against the window, too distracted by the chaos outside to catch Anneliese’s
words.
At the villa, Zacharias suddenly rushed in front of a bulldozer, nearly being crushed.
The sight made Jessica scream.
Following her gaze, Anneliese also saw Zacharias stumble and roll into a deep pit.
She frowned deeply.
He hadn’t cherished it when he had it, letting love wither away. Now, he clung desperately to a lifeless building.
There’s no point in doing this.
Still, she worried he might get buried alive if he kept acting insane.
Not out of care for him, but because if he were injured or killed, Jonathan would be held responsible.
Before she could open the window to warn them, three bodyguards in black had already dragged Zacharias away.
Jonathan turned, opened the car door, and slid inside. “It’s late. Let’s go home.”
“Goodnight, Anne.”
The moment he sat down, Jessica tactfully opened her door, waved at Anneliese, and slipped
out.
Before closing it, she shot Jonathan a silent thumbs–up.
She wasn’t exaggerating. He truly was ruthless.
Seeing Zacharias‘ miserable state had even made her feel uneasy.
For Zacharias, this birthday would surely be unforgettable–for all the wrong reasons.
The car turned around slowly and drove off.
From the rearview mirror, Anneliese caught one last glimpse of the villa, now in ruins under the floodlights.
Jonathan also glanced over, just in time to see Zacharias break free from the bodyguards and

As the machine rumbled forward, he retreated step by step until his foot slipped. He crashed heavily to the ground.
The bulldozer didn’t stop.
Jonathan immediately pulled Anneliese into his arms, covering her eyes with his large hand.
He didn’t want her to see such misery, to feel pity for Zacharias, or be moved by his desperate persistence.
Surprised, Anneliese blinked under his palm, her long lashes brushing lightly against his skin, leaving a faint ticklish sensation.
“What are you doing?” She tilted her head slightly.
Without loosening his hand, Jonathan lowered his head toward her. “Answer me one question.”
“Yes?”
“Was your decision only to save my pride?”
Earlier, when Zacharias had begged her to stop, she had only said she was no longer the owner, not that she didn’t want to stop it.
Anneliese’s lips parted slightly in surprise. “Of course not. I have absolutely no attachment to this place.”
When she first left, she had already smashed much of the interior decoration herself. That was when she decided never to look back.
Upon hearing her firm answer, Jonathan’s deep eyes rippled with emotion.
Then, Anneliese added…
