Chapter 368 Do You Remember What Happened Last Night?
She seemed to have drunk a bit too much last night. Before she knew it, she woke up naked in the same bed with Zane again.
She had already progressed fast, yet Anneliese and Jonathan had been legally married for quite some time and were still completely platonic.
Jessica began to doubt her own ears and judgment. She didn’t even bother putting on concealer anymore.
She picked up her phone that was playing on the loudspeaker and said, “No way. Could it be that Mr. Fullbuster only looks capable but is useless in bed?”
That won’t do. Without a happy sex life, where would happiness come from?
Anneliese stayed speechless. Sure enough, she should never have tried to explain.
She blushed, embarrassed and annoyed. “He’s very capable in bed.”
Jessica caught something odd. “How would you
know that?”
Anneliese turned over in bed. Of course she knew. Her arms had only just stopped aching today.
She stammered.
As a girl who understood instantly, Jessica gave a mischievous laugh. “I didn’t expect Mr. Fullbuster to be so patient. Step by step, huh? I get it. Yours is the ‘married first, then love, then do it‘ pace.”
Anneliese really couldn’t keep talking about this. She turned over, got out of bed, and said, “Let’s get to business. Don’t tell me you forgot we’re catching a cheater today.”
Today was the day Timothy regularly met Mikita.
Last night, Anneliese had already told Jessica about the paternity test results and her plan.
Today, they were going together to catch him in the act.
Anneliese went to wash up and discussed the plan with Jessica.
When she came out of the bedroom, she was met, as expected, by Mabel.

“Mrs. Fullbuster, you’re awake? I’ll get you a bowl of hangover cure. Also, Mr. Fullbuster said you should call him once you wake up.”
Mabel’s tone was more natural and warm this time.
After speaking, she turned toward the kitchen, but Anneliese hesitated and called out, “Mabel, were you here last night?”
Mabel looked back. “No. I only walked Meatloaf in the evening and went home for the past couple of days. I don’t usually stay over.”
Anneliese nodded, but her ears turned hot.
So, it really was Jonathan who changed her clothes.
Thinking of how even her underwear had been replaced with clean ones and how, when she was dressing earlier, she’d noticed a few suspicious red marks on her chest and shoulders, she flustered with shame.
Meatloaf hadn’t seen her in two days and was wagging her tail wildly at her feet.
Anneliese collected herself, sat cross–legged on the carpet by the couch, petted the dog, and called Jonathan.
He was probably busy as he didn’t pick up.
Just as Anneliese sighed in relief and was about to put the phone down, his deep magnetic voice suddenly came through. “Do you still remember what happened last night?”
Anneliese was silent.
Didn’t I sleep straight through? What could have happened? Could it be that I didn’t just sleep but got knocked out by the alcohol?
“I…” Her voice wavered. “What should I remember?”
Jonathan paused, sighed, and said, “Forget it. There’s nothing much. You don’t feel unwell, do you?”
He asked with concern, but the less he said, the more curious she became.
“I’m fine. What exactly happened last night?”
Jonathan’s voice carried a smile as he clarified, “Do you really want to know?”

Anneliese quickly nodded, then, remembering he couldn’t see her, added a hurried “yeah“.
Jonathan chuckled. “Honestly, nothing serious. You just kept acting spoiled, asking for hugs and kisses, saying I’m the best husband and that you love me most.”
Anneliese froze, then flustered. She denied furiously, “That’s nonsense. How could I ever say that?”
Because of her upbringing, she had never been someone who openly expressed her feelings. Even when she was with Zacharias, she never said such shameless, over–the–top words.
As if expecting her denial, Jonathan smiled. “Wait, I’ll send you the evidence.”
Anneliese was flustered.
There’s even evidence?
As she was left speechless, a notification chimed.
He had really sent her an audio recording.
Anneliese hung up and tapped it open.
“Baby, be good. Wake up and wash up. Then, you can sleep again, alright?”
Jonathan’s deep, gentle coaxing voice played, followed by rustling and patting sounds.
Then, she heard her own syrupy, cringe–worthy voice whining, “Ugh… No… I hate you. Stop bothering me.”
“You’re really not getting up to bathe?”
