“Anochiese, have you had lunch yet? I picked out a bunch of wedding dresses for you. Take a look and refl me which brand and designer you like. Once you decide, I’ll arrange someone to take your
measurements.”
Anneliese couldn’t help but smile.
She quickly scrolled through the photos, then stopped when one of them caught her eye. The dress had a sculpted silhouette with delicate embroidery and beadwork that looked both elegant and comfortable.
For some reason, it just felt right to her. She thought that whoever wore it would look happy.
She noted the brand name and sent a voice message to Penelope,
“Grandma, you and Jonathan really are alike. He also sent me a bunch of wedding dress photos yesterday and asked me to pick one. I looked through these and liked the embroidered one from Nuaine the most. But I didn’t see which designer made it.”
It was as if Penelope had been waiting by her phone. The moment Anneliese’s WhatsApp message went through, her phone rang.
“Grandma, have you had lunch?”
“Yes, I have. Anne, that embroidered wedding dress from Nuaine you mentioned, I think it suits you perfectly. Let me tell you something. The designer is actually the founder of the brand, and I happen to
know her.
“If you’ve made up your mind, I’ll call her right away and ask her to design a custom dress just for you.
How about that?”
“Wouldn’t that be too much trouble?”
“Not at all. Listen to me. A princess only gets harried once in her life. Nothing about that is too much trouble
Anneliese gave an awkward cough, “Grandma, this isn’t my first marriage”
It sounded a bit awkward, but it was true. She was marrying Jonathan after having been married once before.
Penelope didn’t seem to care, “Of course it’s your first. You and that man before didn’t even have a wedding. That doesn’t count as marriage. Listen to me, we’ll do it this way”
Anneliese thought about it and agreed. She really hadn’t held a wedding with Zacharias before. Then, she nodded with a smile. “Alright, Grandma. I’ll leave it to you then”
Penelope hung up, feeling happy, and immediately put on her reading glasses to look through her
contacts.
The founder of Nuaine was a/Lunasian designer named Wendy Chalmont. She started the brand twenty years ago, creating a luxury wedding dress line. She was the chief designer herself, and now Nuaine had become an international pop–tier brand. She rarely designed personally anymore.

Penelope smiled. “Wendy, it’s me. Are you busy right now?”
“I’m not. Even if I were, I’d always have time for you.”
At that moment, Wendy was in her studio. She pushed aside a pile of wedding fabrics and waved her assistant out of the room. Then she turned her chair and stood up, rubbing her stiff neck.
Penelope had always been kind and gentle, especially with the younger ones.
Wendy hadn’t come from a wealthy family. She got into Halden University on her own, majoring in fashion design. During college, she met Adrian, the heir of the Malone family.
Back then, he had hidden his family background and dated Wendy. The two of them were the kind of couple everyone envied.
