“Sorry to trouble you last night. You probably didn’t even rest, and you came here early this morning to check on me. I feel bad. If you think the noodles I made tasted okay and my cooking is decent, next time I’ll make a full meal to thank you. Also, I’ll bring Lemon over. 1 still haven’t given her the little dress I made.”
Jonathan nodded. “No rush. Wait until your hand is healed.”
Anneliese looked at her hands wrapped like a mummy and smiled. “Honestly, it doesn’t hurt that much. I don’t think it’s a serious injury. I just don’t know why they wrapped it up like this.”
The bandages were so thick that they looked like her hands were broken.

On the way to the hospital, Jonathan hadn’t been able to hold out and had knocked her out.
He had wrapped her hands in the car. When they reached the hospital, the doctor didn’t want to risk more damage, so they left them as they were.
Seeing his silence, Anneliese quickly changed her words.

She was stunned. She hadn’t expected him to go this far for her.

“Besides, you already know Mr. Fullbuster’s a certified gentleman!”

If they kept going at it, it would only upset Jonathan.
Anneliese nodded, clutching the pen drive in her palm. “Well, if you ever need my help in the future, just give me a call. I’ll do everything I can.”
Zion was speechless, not daring to look at Jonathan’s face.

She leaned forward, grabbed his hand, unfastened the cuff, and rolled up the sleeve to examine it carefully.
The wound was about the length of her thumb, scabbed over but with some redness around it.
She frowned. “You’ve got to be careful with your wounds! What if it leaves a scar? This wasn’t treated properly!”
Jonathan lowered his gaze, observing her furrowed brows and the concern in her eyes.
