Chapter 24
After finishing her speech, Melody took a seat in the front row that had been reserved for her.
Seeing Melody seated in the front row, Landon was no longer in a hurry to leave.
He didn’t return to his original seat but instead found a spot in the very back row with a good view of Melody and quietly sat down.
During this period, Landon had been back to campus only a handful of times.
If it weren’t for graduation being imminent, with many documents and files requiring his personal attention, he would have moved out of school immediately
after his thesis defense.
Because he rarely appeared on campus, it was even more impossible for him to know that this year’s outstanding graduate representative was Melody.
Let alone him, even Elodie had gasped in shock when she saw Melody appear.
They had just spoken on the phone three days ago, and Melody had said she needed at least another half a month to complete the handover procedures at Sorbonne.
Elodie had always taken Melody at her word, so seeing her appear in the Northwood auditorium after just three days was quite a surprise.
Melody had been gone for two years, and in all that time, she hadn’t returned even once.
Travel between the two countries wasn’t exactly convenient, and the distance was vast, making a round trip very time-consuming.
For Melody, time was her most precious commodity, so she spent all her free time interning at her dream companies and positions, which is why it took her two years to finally return.
Landon sat at the very end of the left side of the auditorium, staring unblinkingly at Melody’s profile.
wo years isn’t a long time, nor is it short, but it was clear that they had both changed for the better.
ust then, several people carrying bouquets of flowers bustled into the auditorium.
During graduation season, the flower shops near campus always did brisk business. Countless students and teachers exchanged bouquets as a gesture of good
vishes, hoping the recipient’s future would be as bright as blooming flowers.
eeing this, Landon suddenly realized that for their reunion after two years, he should also give Melody a bouquet to congratulate her.
lthough Landon had a reputation as a playboy, it was mostly due to his devastatingly handsome face. In reality, he had never proactively done anything omantic for a girl, not even something as simple as buying flowers.
o when the great Landon Crow appeared at the largest flower shop near campus, he was finally at a loss.
He had no experience pursuing girls, so he had no idea what kind of flowers to get for Melody.
However, even though he didn’t know much about flowers, he felt that a standard bouquet of red roses was a bit too cliché.
nd based on his understanding of her, she didn’t seem like the type of person who would like a large bouquet of red roses.
eeing his hesitation, the florist finally came over. “Buying flowers for someone? What kind are you looking for? These are our standard arrangements, or you
an pick specific types, or if you have a color scheme in mind, we can help you create a one-of-a-kind bouquet.”
he owner’s words sparked an idea.”Then I’ll have to ask you to arrange one for me,” he said quickly. “I don’t know much about this. Price isn’t an issue, as ong as it looks good.”
As for the color scheme, let’s go with orange tones.”
ecause Landon suddenly remembered that in the days when Melody was by his side, she always loved to wear clothes in warm orange shades, just like her ersonality-bringing him endless warmth.
