112 Parker Hed lost the battle of wills with Vex during that kiss , because it wasnt just him that wanted to be close to her , it was also his beast who had a need to be close to her .
Theyd both wanted to hug her and kiss her the moment her eyes had opened but hadnt been able to , seeing as Whit and Milly were there .
Hed not have cared if theyd already worked things out , would have just gotten up and done it , but they were still not there .
She couldnt be with Freya attached to her, but hed told her everything , how he felt , even apologised for it because he couldnt hold himself to the spot any longer .
There was just something inside of him and his beast that couldnt be contained where she was concerned , and without Freya she had a better chance of understanding him , and maybe she might come to wanting him as well .
Hed not actually expected her to kiss him back , like she had , and it had made his heart race inside his chest .
The moment his lips had pressed against hers , his beast had been up inside his mind , and when shed parted her lips for him and kissed him back willingly , Vex had wanted control .
His beast had craved her always , now was no different , it seemed .
This , however , would be their first kiss without Freya stopping her from feeling anything .
Their first kiss with no contractual agreement that meant she felt obligated to let him kiss her or that she was to kiss him back .

He wanted it to be loving and tender and thought that was what it was until Vex started to fight him for control .

Vex was sitting inside his mind all attention , breathing her in even , liked the smell of her .

He sat and opened that chocolate bar and found Milly right there looking at it .

How she was now okay with him and how easily they were getting along .
He thought her daughter had bonded with him in the past 24 hours .
Something he was happy about , because he was hoping shed look at him like a dad at some point , was young enough to call him that as well , if he and Belladonna could come together , and they all became a family .
He ushered both Whit and Milly out of the room when he noticed Belladonna starting to get tired .
She needed to rest and they were keeping her awake .
Hed had Annette sit and explain to both Whit and Milly , mostly for Millys sake , about Belladonna needing to be in the hospital for a few days , up to seven , shed told them ..
Explained to Milly now that shed seen her mother was alive and alright , that Belladonna would also be very tired for a few days .
Shed had surgery to fix a couple of broken bones , and that was why she was in the hospital .
Hed had dumbed it down a lot for Milly , but she seemed to get it .
Hed then sat down with them and brought up where they were going to stay while Belladonna was in the hospital .
He and they had spent last night in her room , but they couldnt do that every night .
It wasnt set up for that .
She also did need proper rest as well , and he didnt think shed want him staying there either , likely to make her a bit uncomfortable .
Ive not discussed it with your mum yet , but I do think you should both come and stay with me … Or I should stay with you at your house .
We cant just sleep in her hospital room every night and I dont really think its appropriate for me to just have someone else look after you , when I am here , and can do it myself , he explained .
So , the question is , if your mums okay with it , are you two okay with either staying with me or me living with you until your mum is given the all clear ? he asked .
Whit just nodded , but then looked at Milly .
He didnt think Whit would have an issue being that he was his dad , but Milly hadnt been until last night .
He was hoping she was going to be okay with it , and it would give him a chance to be around them 24/7 and be a proper dad to not only Whit but Milly too ; something he wanted .

He nodded Ill talk to her when she wakes up .

Shed been worried about Freya , he knew that , stated something was wrong with her , thought maybe if Freya left her shed also die .
Death was what freaked her out , he thought .
Shed had nightmares where she died , and it was likely that was what had sent her into overdrive and overwhelmed her .
Right this minute , he didnt think she had any wolfen senses activated either , because her wolf though there hadnt emerged to give her that .
Hed like to discuss that with her , but again he didnt want to do that with the children there in the room .
He thought about that and mind linked to Shannon to ask him to go down and check on Belladonna later on when she was awake .
To see how she felt to him , that would actually resolve the problem .
She didnt need to talk about it with Shannon ; hed just feel it .
He also knew Belladonna and Shannon had always gotten along , and it was likely shed also understand why he was there , considering how shed been the last time Shannon had seen her , full of fear and clinging on to him for help .
Until shed thought he was going to put her to sleep , that was .
Shannon strolled into her medical suite with him and the children after shed woken up , just after lunchtime , and shed looked right at Shannon , then at Parker and frowned , clearly knowing why he was there .
Im curious , he stated , it would be easier to hold a mind link conversation , but she wasnt part of the pack , so that was out of the question .

I think sleep deprivation made it worse , Belladonna told him , and she did sound fine .
Though Shannon stayed in the room for an hour and just chatted with her , him , both the children and about anything .
