127 Bella +1 Pant Bellas eyes moved to Parker when he reached out and tucked that loose strand of hair behind her ear .
His fingers trailed around the outside of her ear softly , and then his hand was just gone .
Hed smiled at her and returned his attention to his breakfast .
She didnt know if hed done it on purpose or just hadnt thought about it at all .
It could be either , she thought , one that would annoy her on purpose , or it could have been done absent mindedly , because he knew what she was going to be to him ; a simple Mate thing .
Something shed seen herself a million times over the years ; with mated pairs .
They touched each other absently at times and it kind of went unnoticed by the one doing it .
Bella , however, didnt know which it was , and he was confusing her .
She knew that he was playing at not knowing about their Mate Bond , when in fact he did know .
Or at least she believed that he knew about it .
Shed not actually slept well at all last night , like shed told him she had .
Shed lain there in her bed and tried to think about things .
Really trying to figure out if he did actually feel their Mate Bond , like she did .
Or if he just knew that she felt it , something hed picked up on , by her sudden change in reaction to him touching her .
Shed felt like a half excited , half terrified school girl when hed touched her , or not touched her ; to be more specific .
Never before having to concern herself , or think about things like that , with feelings attached to s * x or things related to it .
She was trying to shake it off but somehow couldnt .
Her heart had raced at the thought of his touch , or his kiss last night in that bed .
She actually could recall what it was like to be naked in a bed with him , how enjoyable it had been , but shed never felt these weird and uncomfortable feelings about it , about him until now , it was unknown territory for her emotionally .
Hed also seemed to enjoy tormenting her yesterday as well .
Now this here in the dining hall , the breakfast they were having , shed never seen Parker hold full formalities at the Alphas table .
The seating she saw told her that was what this was , and the way those at this table had waited until he and she were seated before eating as well ; it was weird .
I thought Belladonna , we could sit and talk about your extended stay here inside the pack ! Parker commented as he sipped his coffee I do believe you told me last week , youd be 144 127 staying until after Bridgit gives birth ? Her eyes moved down the table and right to Bridgit , who was sitting next to Axel , and she nodded .
I did , and Id actually like to be in the delivery room , if , of course , Bridgit would allow that , she stated , but also phrased it as a question at the same time as she looked to Bridgit ΠΟΥ .
Id like that .
Bridgit smiled at her .
Then if youd come down to the hospital with myself later on , for a consult with both Annette .
and I , Ill sort out a time when shes free .
We can start planning ahead .
Id also like your permission , Bridgit , to look over your medical files , as well .
Bella asked her now .
It was good to hear she had no objection to it .

Id like permission to enroll Whitney in the packs school here .
We should also take Milly down to look at the crèche if youre going to be working at the pack hospital … Which it sounds to me like youre planning on doing , are you ? He asked her directly .
Mm , Annette and I have discussed some things .
She nodded because she already knew its where shed spend most of her time after this full moon , especially with Parkers new rule for pregnant she wolves in all parts of his conglomerate coming here to give birth .
And they would be ? Parker asked her now as he leaned back into his to look at her , thought he was also smiling .
Ive not heard anything from Annette about this at all ..
A little odd , considering Im the Alpha .

Bella frowned now , as she realised it was a bit odd that Annette hadnt brought it to Parkers attention , considering Annette had told her shed call on her , put her on retainer so to speak .
Perhaps , Annette was just busy , and forget to let you know what she was doing is all .

Or perhaps Annette just talked to you as she once always did , as the Luna to this pack , sat and discussed medical things with you , because your were the one to go to on that , not me .

Bella nodded , I guess that could explain it .
I did tell her I was going to be staying for a few months , and to make use of my skills as a doctor while I was here .
She told him , that was the truth .

Bellas eyes narrowed on him , and she knew that his words had a double meaning to them , even though hed spoken quite casually about it .
I do enjoy being in the hospital , she stated , as though that was how it was meant to be taken .
Ill have an office set up for you , and give you access to the pack once more then , he smiled wider at her now .
He was not at all deterred , she thought .
Oh , and we should probably call Aston and Mala , let them know that youre going to be staying here , take up your old role , yes ? * There was full amusement in his voice now as he smiled at her .

She smiled right back , she could play the annoy you game right back at him .
Hmm , better sooner than later seeing as theyll need a new full time pack doctor , he stated , and nearly chuckled , barely held it in she thought .
He understood the game that was being played and appeared to be thoroughly enjoying it as well .
Her jaw tightened , and he chuckled softly .
He was better at this game than she was because she had no real experience at it .
It was definitely fun for him , she thought , to annoy her or toy with her maybe .
She didnt really know which it was on his part .

We can call them after breakfast , Parker nodded .
Im certain theyll be happy to hear youre all healed up as well , and to hear about Venus too .
I supposed they would .
But I can call them myself .

It was likely that both Aston and Mala were going to ask her personal questions .
Not something shed ever had an issue with answering before .
But now she knew she would , things felt very different to her .
I I guess I dont , Parker stated , but I do think both Aston and Mala will want to speak to me , as the Alpha to the pack , about your staying here for an extended period of time , dont you ? Bella sighed now as she looked at him because she knew that he was right .
She also knew that shed have to tell Aston and Mala the truth to have her things moved here , so she didnt .
want Parker in the room for the conversation .
If youre going to be staying for an extended period , several months , it might be nice to organise a few more of Whit and Millys things , yours as well , to be shipped down here to the pack .
Clothes and what not , he commented , casually sipping on his coffee .
She muttered , that one comment told her all she needed to know about him , and the conversation he was going to be having with Aston and Mala .
He was not going to hide .

Or , if you like , I could take all three of you out shopping for the day , and I can buy you all that need for your stay here , he stated , Oh yes , he knew what they were .
There was not one iota of doubt in her mind at all anymore .
Not with him offering to buy not only Whits clothes but herself and Milly too .
That was very much a Mate thing to do and not something an Alpha would ever do for anyone that wasnt his Mate unless it was seen that way by the pack .
It was also not something hed ever done with her in person .
He always had a personal shopper go and buy things and deliver them to her suite , never taken her shopping himself .
You may take Whitney and Milly shopping if you like .
I dont really need much , just a few clothes and scrubs which I can get in the pack hospital .
You know yourself , I practically live in them .
She offered and it was true .
She wouldnt be leaving this pack at all until Bridgit had given birth , because that was what Freya had told her .
It was something that both Freya and Selena were entrusting her with , and she wouldnt want Bridgit to lose the triplets simply because she left the pack to go and do some clothes shopping .
Parker was frowning at her now and she looked from him to Bridgit and back to him pointedly .
Shed told him what Freya had told her .
I need to be inside the pack , she told him simply , and he nodded after only a moments thought , seeming to understand what she was implying .
