Belladonna
She smelled Parker the moment he shifted to his wolf Vex, the Mate scent that he’d always had back then, when they’d been mated to each other once before. It was light in the air around them at first, and then got stronger as she watched his eyes start to change colour.
Venus breathed him in deeply as they watched his wolf stand before them. Those grey eyes of his lightened
to almost pure white and then started to go green until they were a brilliant green like most wolves had.
The moment his eyes settled completely on that brilliant green, and Vex was looking at them, they were
enveloped in his scent of tonka beans and sandalwood and then his Mate scent of oakmoss. He smelled of
rich, deep earthy tones, like a forest itself, something that was calming, warm and cozy to her and Venus
alike.
She got the sense of Venus wanting to curl up in the woods and sleep as she breathed him in, and even
though her wolf couldn’t yet shift, she was all over him, hugging him and patting him, touching her wolfen
mate. Something that made Venus very happy. She was purring softly inside and then just laid claim to Vex
for anyone to hear, uncaring of what they thought.
Venus did not care that it wasn’t a full moon, she was finally able to see and touch and talk to her and now
truly scent her wolfen Mate, and she wouldn’t wait a single moment more to claim what was hers after all the years of being kept apart from him. Vex was her soulmate and no longer would she be denied what was hers.
Venus was happy, settled and calm, leaning on Vex, snuggled into his thick wolfen coat, and she didn’t want to relinquish control back to Belladonna even though Parker had asked her to take a walk with Vex himself.
It was Venus that called Whit and Milly over, and when Vex stood up as Venus reluctantly did, Vex wound
himself around the three of them, smooched each one in turn and then stood next to Venus, who smiled at
him before picking Milly up and placing her right on Vex. And they walked as a family around the packhouse
for the pack to see them all united as a family.

They all knew that Belladonna’s beast was in full control. Her eyes would be the brilliant blue of Venus‘. This was their Alpha and Luna on display with the heirs to the pack for all to see. Just like Parker had announced
to them only a few minutes ago.
They walked all the way from the mudroom at the back of the packhouse along the pool and around the side of the packhouse to the front doors, at a casual stroll. Venus had a hand on Vex the entire time, keeping that connection she wanted to feel with him. Her other hand was in Whit’s. He didn’t seem to mind that his
mother’s wolf wanted to hold his hand at nine. Likely understood what was going on right now as well.
They reached the front of the packhouse to find the Alpha Unit all standing there. They smiled and bowed their heads to Vex and Venus, addressing them officially ‘Alpha, Luna.‘ And Venus finally released contro back to Bella. She nodded to them as Vex settled to the ground and Milly hopped off him and patted his big
head.
‘I’ll shift and put clothes on. Parker’s voice came down the mind–link to her and Vex trotted off right in through the front doors. She shook her head, she’d never seen a wolf inside the packhouse before. But he was headed for his office, likely for his wardrobe in there, where he would have clothes already.

Kane smiled at her. “May I inquire as to what just happened, Luna? There were many mind links to myself and the unit about hearing your wolf lay a full claim on Vex. I also noted his eyes are green?”
“She did.” Bella nodded. “He shifted because Venus wanted to see Vex in wolfen form, and we officially scented him as our Mate in that moment… Venus claimed what was hers without hesitation.” She answered him. “As for his eyes changing colour, Parker can explain that, he apparently understands it.”
She saw Parker step out of the packhouse. He was still barefooted and doing up the buttons on his dress shirt. He nodded to his unit and walked right over to her, tilted her face up to his “Mine.” He and Vex stated together, and his mouth was on hers a moment later, kissed her softly but lingering for all to see, and she stood there and kissed him back, smiled up at him when his mouth left hers.
“We wanted to say it together, couldn’t until we were shifted back.” He told her softly.
Bella had no complaints, she understood that and Venus didn’t yet have her connection to Vex in full, so it was good to hear it like this. They were not offended that he’d not said it back when Venus had issued her claim upon her wolfen mate.
She and Venus knew that both Parker and Vex loved them. Venus had simply not wanted to wait to tell them
she was theirs, and they were hers. Parker also knew she could scent him, that she loved him and wanted
him. Her actions today had told him everything he needed to know.
“Mine.” She verbally claimed him back both her and Venus together for all to hear, returning the gesture he’d
just given, and he smiled at her, slid a hand around her neck and into her hair and the other around her waist and pulled her gently into him for an embrace.
Bella slid her arms around him and hugged him back, sighed softly and closed her eyes. She finally had a
Goddess–Gifted Mate, one she knew she could trust, who would respect her and treat her how a Mate should. There was no fear or hesitation in accepting him as her Goddess–Gifted Mate. She knew him, knew he was a
good person.
“Dad, you said we’d go kayaking today.” Whit interrupted them and Parker released her from a full embrace but still kept her at his side, one arm around her held to him.
“I did,” Parker stated “And when the other kayaks get here we’ll all go down to the lake for family fun. You and Milly should go play until then. I’ll come hunt you two down when they arrive,” He stated, and she watched the
children head off to play.
“You don’t mind, do you Belladonna?”
“No,” she stated, “I quite enjoy kayaking myself,” and she found herself hugged by him once more.
“Good, I’ll want to hear about all the things you like to do, so we can do them together from now on,” he stated. “I’d also like to discuss your Luna Ceremony as well. The full moon is only a few days away now.”
“Hmm, too soon to organise anything like that, Parker.” She told him.

“Is it?” he asked. “I could have been prepping and planning for months already, without you know smiled at her, and she just knew that ‘could have been‘ actually meant ‘he had been‘. It was all in the way he was smiling at her right at this moment.
“Parker,” she frowned a little.
“Hear me out, the menu is all planned around the foods you and the children like to eat, the seating will be done formally, all you need to do is get a dress and well… I kind of have like a dozen on standby, for you to

choose from, different styles and colours. The only thing that needs doing is for you to pick a dies, med ga your hair and make–up done.”
She raised an eyebrow at him. “You had some faith in yourself, didn’t you?”
“I love you, and wasn’t willing to give up on you unless you actually voiced no to me,” He smiled at he wanted to be able to give you a proper Luna Ceremony and didn’t know when it would happen or how dose to a full moon it might be that you would accept me. So careful pre planning was needed. I also run a modeling agency and there are three make–up artists here in the pack, and we do have a hair stylist. Everything can be done by the full moon, I assure you.”
She shook her head. “You like getting things your way, don’t you?”
“Hmm, I guess you could look at it that way, but I like to think of it as giving you everything you deserve and should have gotten when we were first mated to each other. But our Mating Alliance didn’t allow for it doe to your father and his Luna’s clauses… So, what do you think? About it being on this full moon?” he asked her.
“I don’t know, to be honest.” She thought about it, liked that he’d prepped and planned for it. That showed net only her but Venus, it was truly what he wanted. But Venus was due to come when the moon set and that would be the moment that he announced her officially to the pack as well.
“I think with Venus coming this full moon, we should just let her have her moment, and go off and Mark and Mate Vex, I get the distinct feeling it will be our wolves that do that, not us. I think she’s waited long enough, and we shouldn’t hinder her in anything she wants to do with Vex on the full moon, so… Put the Luna Ceremony to the full moon after that.”
He sighed a little. “I don’t really want to wait.” He murmured.
“I understand, but Venus has waited 18 years for her moment, Parker. Locked inside of me all that time. Please understand.”
“I understand and will, of course, give you and her what she wants.” He nodded and tilted her face up to his. “1 just want to be able to formally and officially announce you is all.”
“It’s just one month and this is actually how it would be for normal packs the full moon after scenting each other out or two even depending on the planning that needs to be done.”
He nodded and knew that it was. “Maybe a compromise could be had.” He murmured softly, and she picked up the deep, rich husky note “Move into the Alpha Suite, today.” His mouth met hers for a chaste kiss. “I don’t want to wait now we’ve officially claimed each other you to me and Venus to Vex.”
“Hmm, alright but no actual mating.”
She saw a frown mar his handsome face, and she chuckled softly and mind–linked to him ‘s*x yes, but mating no, I want Venus to have everything she deserves. Let it be her that officially Mates us and brings us together, solidifies our Mate Bond.‘
