41 Parker He got home to his pack to find his Luna not in it .
She had apparently accepted a modelling job in New York and left to go and do that .
And although it wasnt unusual for her to go off and model in the human world .
She wasnt supposed to do it when he wasnt home , when his unit wasnt there to protect the pack .
Carina had also not told him she was going to leave the pack ; anything could bloody happen to it with none of the leadership there to help protect it and defend it .
He was more than annoyed by this .
Why was she so Goddess damned irresponsible at times ? A part of him wanted to strangle her , and get rid of her even .
She was still that entitled she wolf at times from when hed first met her , the one hed not liked seeing .
Kanes Mate Katie greeted them , and she was the one to inform him that Carina had gone to New York .
Hed stared at her more than annoyed , and shed apologised to him I couldnt talk her out of it , Alpha .

Katie knew he wasnt mad at her , he didnt generally direct anger at those that didnt warrant it .
Hed motioned for Kane to bring the newly joined she wolves of his pack to his office for initiation .
Only a handful of them , four of those she wolves that had mated to his wolves , had wanted to stay with the Hollowed Moon and hed allowed it .
Wolves would go where they wanted to .
In this day and age , he believed an agreement should be made between a newly mated pair as to where they would stay .
Not just expect the she wolves to move to their mates pack , equality was the best thing for his wolves .
He did not make anyone move to Lustrous Moon , or leave it either .
It was completely up to them , he had taken over many unhealthy packs around him , and had many packs to his name , five separate territories to Lustrous Moon , with elders he trusted residing and in charge of them .
Why there were none here in the mane pack , they were spread out to help lead the other territories .
They were all only small about 300 to 500 each and not so far away .
Unlike the main pack where he lived , which had 2000 wolves here now .
He also allowed his wolves to move between the packs , and when attending mating balls , the wolves that he took with him were equally chosen numbers from each of his subsidiary packs , so some from each pack could go and find mates .
None had to move to his main pack either they could situate themselves into one of the smaller packs around the main pack but all got 1/4 41 initiated here and then moved off back to their packs .
His elders reported to him every afternoon , through a video conference .
Sometimes it was held here and at other times from his head office in Oklahoma City , and he could drive to all of them easily ; the furthest away was only a three hour drive .
It was kind of like a big conglomerate with subsidiary companies .
It ran nowadays like a well oiled machine , and there were well trained warriors in each of the packs to hold down the fort until others could get there .
If one was attacked , attacking Alpha was risking everything .
because he had warriors from all his packs head there , and they were outnumbered quickly .
He , on his own , could send 1000 warriors to any given pack in his territories .
Pull a hundred from each subsidiary pack and send 600 from his central pack .
It was a deadly game to attack him .
Parker and one of his unit headed off to those smaller parts of his pack , to see how they were actually doing , on a regular basis , spend a few hours there training them , themselves and checking the pack members were happy , making sure they were healthy , and everyone had what they needed .
It could be time consuming and pulled him from his main pack .
Every second day he spent time with one of those small packs , but as the Alpha , he needed to make sure they were all safe under his care .
Carina had no interest in attending those smaller packs , to aid in helping him maintain them .
She had told him once , Well , if they werent all spread out all over the place you wouldnt have to .
Just bring them all here and expand this place .
That way you wouldnt leave me alone so much now , would you ? Parker sat at his desk and put a call to Carina .
He might be busy running the pack and its companies and , yes , he was away at times , but she only modelled , didnt run any parts of the company , and she went away for days on end sometimes .
She picked up on the tenth ring and his temper crept up with every ring she ignored , and he knew she was standing there looking at her phone debating on answering it or not .
Hed actually seen her do that himself once before , when he had been calling her when she was in the head office , and he was free to have lunch with her , so he had made his way to her and that phone had been in her hand when hed come round the corner .
Hed seen her for himself muttering What does he want now ? His Goddess Gifted was actively ignoring him , still so very self centered at times Yes , Parker .
She finally answered the phone , sounding annoyed that he was bothering her .

Im on a modelling job .
She answered him as if that explained everything .
And who is in charge while youre not here ? Im not here ! he grated out .
I left Katie in charge .
Carina told him Its not like there is going to be a takeover , Parker , we have five other companies around us .
She kept it to human terms , being out in the human world .
That is not the point , and you know it .
One of us needs to be in the pack at all times .
Are you so irresponsible ? You knew I was off at a mating ball ; you organised it yourself .
Do you not care about the pack , the safety of our wolves ? I have a life too , you know .
Youre always out of the pack , which leaves me stuck inside it .
I rarely get to travel anymore , you only approve of modelling locally nowadays .
Its frustrating , I need to be out here , showing what I can do , branching my career path out , and working interstate .
Parker closed his eyes , she worked locally because she was too much of an entitled brat to work where he couldnt contain her or the damage she did with her attitude .
He counted to 10 , I am the Alpha , and Im very busy with running the companies , something youve stated you dont want a bar of .
You wont even help me out , by visiting our smaller packs .
Youre the boss , that is your job , She stated .
Hence , why Im never bloody here in the pack , he grated out , you lack the skills to help me , and you dont want to step up and learn them , so its partially on you , that Im always off pack territory , is it not .

She snapped at him .

She was really starting to test his patience .
As a Luna , one would normally spend 80 or 90 percent of their time in the pack .
