Alpha Gretta was here to collect Gregory Lewis , and shed also been informed that Alpha Parker was with her .
Not travelling in the same car , but had arrived at the same time ; likely travelling together .
She was standing outside the front of the packhouse , as were Aston , Mala and the Alpha unit , and over there to her left off in the distance was Gregory Lewis hanging from the packs shaming tree .
They didnt have posts here like other packs , no , just three silver chains that dangled from a tree branch .
His feet were barely on the ground and his arms were stretched up above him .
He just hung there to be shamed .
It was rare that it was in use and had been put in place by both Mala and Aston the year their daughter was born .
Something to do with Astons former and Goddess Gifted mate whod rejected him but couldnt leave him alone , who had been the first person to hang from it , after killing his chosen mate , and then trying to kill Mala as well .
Mala had hung her from that very tree for the pack to shame her over the death of the former Luna .
Now that was where others were hung .
Everyone in this pack had been informed of why he was out there , including Whitney .
Hed been told by Mala and Aston themselves before the pack had been informed , Whit had stood staring at that man over there .
Shed told him the truth of all that had gone on .
Shed given him that email from Alpha Gretta to read , so he could see it for himself , written out formally , the facts of the deception around why Parker had supposedly relinquished his parental rights .

Awaiting the Councils pick up , that it would likely take a couple of days , but he would be punished by Gretta and the Council for his part in the deception .
Shed actually seen Whit stop and look at that man hanging from the packs shaming tree and thought hed been going to go over there and yell at him or maybe hit him .

Was a stain to the rank , and she hoped the Wolfen Council not only stripped him of his rank but demoted him to the lowest of low .
Shed stayed out of it all , she didnt really get angry about things , though shed felt annoyance roll off of Freya as theyd looked at that wolf , and it kind of felt like shed wanted to have a piece of him , herself .
Shed not done so though , because she wouldnt allow herself to be seen , even for the punishing of another wolf .
Whit had not gone near him , just been angry , shed thought , but had turned and walked away himself .
Gretta arrived , and two warriors got out of the car she was travelling in .
She actually knew both of them from her time working on council grounds .
After greeting Aston and Mala , they both stated their names and then smiled at her .
She smiled back at them .
Alpha Parker and Kane had gotten out of his car , just him and his Beta , not his entire unit .
No Gamma she noted here to try and sway her into anything at all .
That was nice to know .
He greeted Aston and Mala , then looked right at her and smiled .

She just nodded , and he was directed to look at the shaming tree .

Before hes taken to the Wolfen Council for punishment .
She watched as Parker stood there and thought about it , then turned and looked at her .
Belladonna , have you yet ? he asked her .
Me ! No , why would I ? she asked in return .
Her life had actually been enjoyable once shed gotten her freedom , that man and his daughters deception had seen her have the full freedom to live her life as she so chose .
Shed been able to make a life for herself , have lovers of her choice , both at the Wolfen Council and here within the Hollowed Moon , and enjoy her life to the fullest , which she had .
+15 Point 74 A part of her was actually thankful for that deception because shed been allowed to live her life as she saw fit , and not be held inside the Lustrous Moon , and had her life dictated around her , because she was the former Luna and mother of the heir to the pack .
What they had done had not been detrimental to her or Whitney as far as she was concerned .
They were both happy in the lives they led , and though Whit had not gotten to know his father , hed not been an unhappy child or dwelt on not having a dad , that didnt want him , just believed he didnt have one all that time was all .
She saw no reason to punish them on her behalf .
Parker and Whitney were the ones that were affected by that deception , not her .
Dont you want to ? Parker asked , a slight frown on her face .
Not really , it didnt hurt me , she told him honestly .
You , on the other hand … she shrugged .
It did , go and do what you see fit as an Alpha and the affected party in their crimes .
She knew he had a temper and probably wanted to kill that man over there .
Though she had a feeling Gretta wouldnt allow it .
That report had stated Carina had been handed over to the Wolfen Council , unharmed but rejected by Alpha Parker .
Maybe he wasnt the same person hed been all those years ago during the time theyd been bound to each other .
Whitney ? Parker asked her .
What does our son want ? he asked .
It surprised her that he knew Whits name , but then she realised that Alpha Gretta would likely have put it in her correspondence with him .
She knew Gretta to be direct and informative in her responses to anything .
Dealing with their contract over Whit in the first place had seen all names being used in full , so it was likely that if she had to mention her sone , Whitneys name in full would be used in anything that needed to be worded about him .
Hes been informed , stared at that man over there , said nothing .
She told him truthfully and saw Parkers frown deepen as he looked at her .
It surprised me too .

Hes got your temper at times .
She stated and saw Parker blink at her words .
But then he turned back to Alpha Gretta , May I delay my reaction until after Ive met my son .
Id like to know what he wants before I do anything .
